Chapter 13: Out of surveillance
It was already the next day, Mizuki having finished with his research was now humming a tone softly. His efforts had borne fruit, he had finally confirmed a few ways to achieve strength, quickly, one of them being of particular interest to him, something he had planned to do right away after one last task.
' A final check is necessary to see if I am still under surveillance, practically, I should already be out of the scope, after all, there is nothing remotely suspicious about me but my abrupt interest in the latest changes of advanced medical knowledge, a little probing being done is normal in my scenario, after all I am no medical Ninja and neither anything suggests I want to be one '
Smiling Mizuki whispered to himself.
" This knowledge though freely available, is village's latest research after all, it's of strategic significance, keeping an eye out on the outflow of such data is an essential thing for any organisation to do, from spies wanting to sell it to people wanting to do forbidden experiments, there is no shortage of things Information like this can do in the wrong hands after all, being cautious is needed, especially after the Orochimaru debacle.. "
Currently dressing up in his casual clothes, Mizuki put on his final piece of clothing, a white full sleeve t shirt, as he finished his get up for today, he turned from a thoughtful scientist to a sunny young man.
" Clothes do make the man, as they say.. "
Finished with his get up, he looks over to the full length mirror in his bedroom, there stood his reflection, smiling back at him with his ever present soft smile, the t shirt hugging his form just enough to show his muscle definition throughout, but leaving enough to the imagination with its looseness in general.
Satisfied with his looks, Mizuki turned and began walking out, his destination?
" Yamanaka residence.. "
Locking the door behind him, Mizuki took a look over his garden with a smile, his flowers still blooming full bloom, the care they received should be responsible, there was much activity in his garden, not of humans, but of bugs, going from flower to flower.
" Do my flowers excite you little ones? "
Mizuki smiled, as made his way out giving a final look to his garden, as he saw an earthworm crawling out of the depths.
Taking a deep look at it he whispered softly.
" Living your life buried underneath the roots, never to see the light of sun.. but eager to come to the surface all the same, as soon as a hint of rain beings vitality in, you just couldn't help it, could you.. "
Mizuki ignored the critter, it mattered not, creatures living in the darkness will stay there forever, darkness has a way of getting them back, one way or the other..
As he stepped over the final flower, a beetle unfortunately got stuck to his shoe, one can't help it, moving through a garden full of life such as this, you are bound to get some of it sprinkled on you along the way.
That was quick, for a beetle, a good breed, but it was no Ninja beast, Mizuki could be sure, the movement patterns of Ninja beasts are much more optimizated towards chakra use after all, this one, was a much more physically ordinary beetle.
' No spy bugs, anywhere, these are all actual critters, attracted by instinct. That's good '
Mizuki smiled as he breathed a sigh of relief, even if not obvious, he wasn't all too happy with being the under the attention of Danzo, he has been cautious all the way until now, say with the change of original Mizuki's character or with his trials with the fish and vitality inducing herbs, he had made sure all showed a gradual change and no abruptness was visible.
' That's good, after all, I haven't actually done anything that should lead to root to follow me in particular for long, not now of all times. The only thing that triggered the bug incident from the aburame girl was her own cautious nature. It should have ended with the date if all had went accordingly.. '
Shaking his head internally he thought.
' A background check was imminent, I just took matters in my own hands and achieved some of my own goals through it.. My actual idea's are still very much a mystery to any of the higher ups, I would prefer they remain as such.. '
Thought Mizuki as he took to konoha's streets, walking with a relaxed yet confidence filled stride.
