Chapter 9: Blue Walk and Baratie Here I Come
Johnny and Zoro already bring Yosaku to the Men's Room. When the two comes out it is already noon "Yosh Merri, Usopp, Kaya, Nami stop training now, we will have two days to relax. After you recover Merri cook us a feast for lunch make sure there's a lot of meat okay. Don't worry about cooking a lot of meat I can just hunt sea king underwater later." ordered Luffy.
Nami and Kaya decided to have a quick shower together after 15 minutes the two went out looking refresh. Then Usopp decided to shower after 5 minutes he also went out, then Merri, Zoro and Johnny also asks permission to use the shower because its been days the last time he took one.
Luffy agreed to it. Everyone now looks fresh. Nami, Kaya and Usopp were reading books that Luffy gave them, while Zoro just meditate, Johnny was manning the crow's nest because Luffy asks him to and Merri was already in the kitchen cooking.
When suddenly Usopp asks "Oi Luffy you told as your a rubber human, a devil fruit eater right. Since you are a Devil Fruit eater you can't swim then how do you hunt sea king that lives in the floor of the sea?".
"Good job Usopp you notice it, if you didn't notice and ask it, I will not show it to you guys until we are already in the grandline but I will show it you guys after lunch cause I'm hungry shishishishi" said Luffy while smiling and walking to the kitchen.
Nothing happens during their lunch except Yosaku waking and walking up to the kitchen because he smells the delicious foods. After eating and washing the plates all of the crew with Johnny and Yosaku were looking at Luffy who currently seating in his favorite seat the figurehead of Going Merry.
Luffy then demonstrate all the Rokushiki techniques to everyone the only ones who are
surprise are Kaya, Merry and the Duo because it is the first time they saw it. Luffy then shows them the Sky Walk which the combination of Geppo and Soru. They were amaze by it and excited because of the prospect of learning it.
Luffy then look serious and said "Now, the next technique that I will show you is called Blue Walk or Sea Walk, it is same technique as the Sky Walk the only difference is where you apply it Sky Walk is in the sky while Blue Walk is in the sea." Luffy then continued "What I am about to tell you guys will be the biggest secret of the Straw Hat Pirates" all of them gulp down except Zoro who just look serious.
"You all know that one of the Devil Fruit eater weakness is the sea water, so for the last 10 years I have been soaking my feet in sea water for as long as I can and the result is that I can now swim for 3-5 without being an anchor and it is enough time to hunt a sea king".
Luffy then explain that he will be teaching them Rokushiki when they enter grandline after they have enough foundation to not to harm themselves. "Yosh! Those techniques are awesome and cool Luffy! But who teach you those techniques?" asks Usopp with stars in his eyes. Luffy then have bored looking face while picking his nose answered "Oh my Gramps teach me".
Usopp eyes twitch a few times and says "and who is your gramps?". Then it was Nami who answered with an expressionless face "Marine Hero-Monkey D. Garp". Then others were looking wide-eyed to Luffy who just continue picking his nose. "Okaaay, our pirate captain is the grandson of the marines hero. That's cool? I guess" Usopp said.
When Luffy suddenly said they need a professional cook because Merri alone can't handle them. Hearing this, Johnny suggest "Luffy-aniki if you want a cook, you should go to Baratie, it is a floating restaurant full of fighting cooks". Luffy then told Nami to set sail to Baratie. After setting their course.
Luffy and Zoro continue to meditate in their place, Nami and Kaya continues to study while Nami occasionally check their direction. Merri decided to makes teas for everyone before relaxing, Usopp goes inside to thinker the Clima-tact Project and the Duo Johnny and Yosaku goes to the crow's nest to be the look out.
Two days pass quicky. Merri, Kaya, Usopp and Nami continues their training. While Zoro decided to train the Duo, he made alternate between weights and swimming in the morning, teach them swordmanship in the noon and sparring in the afternoon. Their training continue for another 5 days until Nami said that they will be arriving tomorrow noon.
Luffy decided to cut their training and let them relax. Luffy seems to notice that Nami had been distracted for the past days. So before going to sleep Luffy whispered to Nami "If you ask help, I will help you because you are 'my' precious navigator" Nami then blush and meekly nodded before going to the Women's Room.
In the middle of the night Luffy's door quietly opens and a figure slowly enter. Luffy feeling Nami enter slowly get up and sit at the end of the bed and looks into Nami eyes. They looks into each others eyes for a minute before Luffy tap the bed indicating to Nami to sit beside him.
After Nami sits, Luffy then bend his body and reach Nami's head, put it in his chest and hug her tightly. After a couple of comfortable minutes Luffy then let go off Nami. Nami then start telling her story to Luffy, how when she was a kid, Arlong Pirates comes to their village to collect tributes from everyone.
How her adopted mother Bell-mere was killed because she only had enough money to pay for Nami and her sister Nojiko, how Arlong found Nami's talent and how Arlong promises Nami that as long as she gave him 100 million Belly Arlong will leave her village. Nami started to cry when she tells about Bell-mere was killed until the end of her story.
Luffy hearing this was seething in anger, of course he already know this but knowing and hearing it from the same person who experience this tragedy is different! He wanted to just go straight to Arlong Park and beat the shit out of Arlong. But he immediately calms down when he hear Nami's cry, he hugs her and whisper to her "I just I said before, If you ask for my help. I will because you are 'my' navigator".
Nami then slowly stop her sobbing and looks into Luffy eyes and asks for help. Luffy answer her that he will help her, Nami starts to cry again but was by stop Luffy who kiss her on the lips. Nami at first was shock then it turns to lust, he straddle Luffy and kiss him deeply.
