Chapter 2: The Princess
My name is Rionna Althea Navarro and I am first in line for the Hanavan Kingdom. I was sent by my stepmother with two-dozen members of the Savage Fangs my country's elite troops supported by 6 of my warbeasts to investigate reports of a large group of well armed bandits attacking villages near our shared border with the Zuran Empire. The problem with that is that it was an ambush.
We were only armed to deal with common bandits, we didn't expect Zuran slavers with military support so we never had any chance to resist.My men fought as fiercely as they could but the Slavers possessed fierce Dark Magicks and murdered anyone who resisted. The only one managed to deal any real damage was Captain Carlos who killed more than a dozen Slavers before one of the leaders riped out his heart with Dark Magick.
After watching Carlos die so horribly resistance seemed futile so I let them slap shackles on my wrists and ankles after which they threw me into a cage mounted on a large wagon.As I land on the floor of the cage I was helped off the floor by the largest man I have ever seen.This beast of a man stands at least 6 foot six inches tall with thick muscles,extensive scars, large intricate tribal tattoos,and very pale skin.As this beast of a man helped me up he introduced himself with an oddly beautiful smile and said "Hello beautiful I am Prince Jeager Jaghund Des Waldes and you must be Princess Rionna Navarro and I suppose I should welcome you to the Zuran Gladiator Corps.You need not worry through I swear no one shall ever harm you here that is A Barbarian Blood Oath and nothing can make me break it.As he said this he has a look of pure adoration on his face as if he was in love with me which surprisingly made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
