Chapter 3: It's not a fantasy world without a system
He don't have anything to protect himself against those armed people that could wipe out the adult goblins.
'I already made a plan that I would become the leader of this goblin nest but those people crush it.' He thought as he walked and looked at the corpse of the adult goblins.
Dead bodies scattered across everywhere. He pinch his nose as he couldn't handle the smell.
He then walked and saw someone moved. He slowly approached it and saw someone survived. He looked at the survivor and saw that it was larger than other adult goblins. This goblins was four and a half feet tall and he wasn't skinny like any other goblins.
'Isn't this what they called Hobgoblin?' he thought as he observed it. He then looked around and saw that there's no other Hobgoblin here in this nest.
It looks like the leader of this nest is this Hobgoblin. There's no doubt about it.
He examine the wounds of the Hobgoblin. He then sighed as he found that it was too deep. He couldn't save the Hobgoblin. He could only help him rest.
He then stood up and pick up a rock with both of his hands. 'Goodbye, Hobgoblin. I couldn't even got a chance to overtake you.'
He then smashed the rock at the head of the hobgoblin. At the same time he heard something in his mind.

"AHHHHH!!!" He was surprised when he saw this. His eyes opened widely and his jaws almost drop to the ground.
"Silly me, how could I forget this! If you an Isekai Protagonist then there's a system." He said as he scratched the back of his head.
"If I could level up like this then, it would greatly decrease the time I need to get stronger. First, I need to check if I could see my status."
He closed his eyes and concentrate. Then, a semi transparent screen appeared in his vision.
"Let's see, my stats."

"Too weak! Just a mob! I'm a mob now!" He said when he saw his stats. It's all one digit number. He was too weak right now.
"Skill points?" He muttered while looking at these words. He don't know where he could use it. He tried to think about it then a screen appeared in his vision.

[Mana regeneration: 100 skill points
[Appraisal: 100 skill points
[HP regeneration: 200 skill points
[Mana gathering: 200 skill points]
There's only five thing in the skill list. He tried to find if he could saw some powerful skill but unfortunately he couldn't. He looked at it one by one. He have 200 skill points and he need to buy what he need right now.
He closed his eyes and after a few seconds he opened it once again. He decided what he will buy. He looked at appraisal skill and didn't even hesitate to buy it.
A felt a slight headache when the knowledge about appraisal entered his mind.
After a few moments the pain disappeared and he looked around him. He used appraisal on the Hobgoblin that he killed.
He saw a row of words above the Hobgoblin.
[Hobgoblin (deceased)]
"That's it? Eh?!! I-It scammed me!" Souta couldn't help but exclaimed. He couldn't even see it's level or stats. He then guess that he could level up his appraisal skill.
There's 50+ goblins here in this nest. He would appraise them all to see if he could really level it up.
He walked around while using his appraisal skill to the corpse of goblins. After a few moments he paused as he saw something in his vision.
[Goblin]
He only saw one word. There's no deceased status beside the word "Goblin." It means that it's still alive.
He walked towards it and confirmed his guess. This goblin is still alive but he barely could move his body.
He sighed as he don't have other choice but to help this poor goblin. He looked around and saw a rusty sword. He picked it up and use it to end the life of the goblin.

"Yosh! I will help the one who's still alive rest peacefully!" Souta said then he continue using appraisal to every corpse he saw.
In the end... He managed to level up once again.

He took a deep breath as he felt his body got stronger. He didn't noticed it before because of his shock but now he could feel a mysterious energy entered his body when he level up.
He was level 3 right now and it still pretty weak. He have guess it, everytime he level up his stats will increase by 2 and he will receive 100 skill points. So, he have 200 skill points right now. To increase his strength what he need right now is his mana. He have the mana stats but he still don't have any idea how to control it or use.
He decided to use 200 skill points to buy the "Mana manipulation" and "Mana regeneration." But, before that he checked first if he could really upgrade his skill and his guess was right. He could use skill points to upgrade his skills.
Now, he already bought the two skills. The knowledge of both skill poured inside his head and it felt like his head was going to explode. Beads of sweat formed on his forehead.
After a few minutes, Souta was on his knees panting heavily.
"That is insane..." He muttered between his breath. He then sat on the corner and closed his eyes. He could feel the mana in his body albeit it's very thin.
Souta then looked around and found the food storage of this nest. He grabbed what he could and pick up the sword of the Hobgoblin before he leave the nest.
