Chapter 168: 168_Lost Opportunity

Ignoring her nephew blatant disrespect towards the future head, Fan Mei gleefully took Li Yao's hand in hers and gripped it tightly. 

"Don't take his words too hard. He's just a child himself. He should know better." Fan Mei said as she showed off her wide smile. She then turned around and gave a warning glare towards her idiot of a nephew. 

Fan Xuan on the other hand clenched his teeth in disbelief, how could his aunty said something like that about him? And her eyes were deadly too. He had never seen her care so much because of a stranger before. Fan Mei usually would stay quiet when anything happened yet she took Li Yao's side so readily but it was just a small matter. 

"Aunty!" he wouldn't want to back down either. Call him childish, he usually always won when it was a fight with words. 

"I'll not be doing that. Taking his words too hard will make me tired and it's a waste of time." Li Yao gave a nod as she grinned back.
