'Nothing much has changed,' Rea thought to himself.

After gaining access to his status, Rea had figured that he was somewhat odd for a newborn and had decided to follow his brother's pace in developing. Over the last couple of months, the twins had begun to crawl and babble sounds that were beginning to sound like words. Rea figured that he could have begun having discussions with the adults around him some time ago, but he had a deep fear that they would take him away from his brother if he did that. So, he paced himself. He was still attempting to gain access to his brother's mana but had been met with limited success.

He could vaguely feel his twin's mana and could even push a small amount of his own mana to mix with his brother's but that was it.

While he was reflecting one the events of recent months, the window of the nursery blew open. Soon after, a small black bird flew in and settled on the ground next to the twins crib. Looking over Rea was astonished to find the small bird gradually grow and transform into a powerful, cloaked man. Walking over, the man bent down to examine the children.

"Now, which one should I take?" the man asked the a sinister grin.

'Neither!' Rea shouted in his mind. 'Get away ya creep.'

He attempted to call for help, but by not exercising his vocal chords enough, he found himself still unable to speak properly. It only came out like the gentle crying of a child.

"Hmm, not this one I think. He's already too full of natural mana. Can't raise him how I want that way," the man muttered after extending his hand towards Rea. "But this one will do nicely. Lots of potential, but I shouldn't have any problems raising him to take up my art."

The man extended his hand to pick up Crun, but Rea had his own hand clamped onto his brother's arm. With a grunt of annoyance, the man extracted the sleeping baby from the cradle. At the same moment, Rea felt a good portion of his own mana snake through his arm and into his brother's body.

"Oh, you have good eyes," the man chuckled, noticing Rea's glare. "Come and get me when you get older, why don't ya?"

Seeing the chuckling man begin to walk away with the most important person in his world, Rea began to cry for the first time in his life. Never had he cried since he had been born. People had even commented on how abnormally quiet he was. Now though, he let lose the most blood curdling scream that you can imagine. It was heard throughout the entire palace grounds. Immediately, his parents awoke, and guards rushed to the nursery, but it was all too late.

"Damn brat," the man muttered, before disappearing with a swirl of his cloak.

Moments later, the king and queen rushed into the nursery, quickly followed by a squadron of guards. However, it was too late. The man had disappeared into the night with the little prince.

"Quickly, organize search parties and scour the kingdom," the king commanded turning to the guards. "Send messages to every outpost and check point. I don't care if you have to search every inch of this country, find my son!"

"Oh, my poor baby!" the queen wailed, gathering Rea into her arms.

The king gently cradled his weeping wife and newborn son. Throughout the entire episode, Rea remained staring in a single direction. Somehow, he could still feel the mana that had passed into his brother. He could feel the speed at which the distance between them grew and knew that all of his father's soldiers weren't fast enough to catch up.

'I will come for you,' Rea vowed. 'No matter how long it takes or how far you may go, I will find you and bring you home!'
