Chapter 2: Chapter 1

It was a late September night. A night when the wind howled, and rain coated the ground. Where trees bent and limbs flew. When the thunder rolled it shook many houses along the small street. Along with the thunder came the occasional flashes of lightning which created shadows throughout the darkened street. On this street, there was one house where there were no broken twigs or harsh winds. There wasn't a rainstorm, only a calming drizzle. The couple that lived in this house were expecting a newborn on this night.

As the clock struck eleven a bell rang. The bell told them to gather around the large oval shape that laid on the bed. It wasn't long until a bunch of crunch sounds came along with the cracking of the egg. Shortly after a baby's cries could be heard along with a happy shout, "It's a girl!" That's very rare, they all thought silently. The newly made "mom" asked in a tired gruff voice, "can I see her?" The home nurse looked at the tired brute. "Not yet, I must run some tests first." The "mother" only nodded and soon fell asleep. The nurse takes the newborn to a different room and started the normal tests. Everything looks fine, the nurse thought as he did them. After a few minutes the new "father" came into the room. "Is everything alright?" the leader asked in a slight nervous voice. "Everything is going perfectly. I just have one test to do." the nurse answered. The father nodded and left to join his sleeping brute.

Shortly after a scream filled the new parents' ears. The "father" ran towards the room the nurse is in; only to discover he was on the floor with a look of pure fright. The nurse was mumbling over and over under his breath while pointing to the newborn. "Her blood….Her blood...Her Blood…" he kept saying, getting louder each time. The "father" asked in a shaky voice, "What happened?" The nurse just pointed and said, "She is a cursed child. Her blood is that of the cursed one." The "father" then noticed the needle on the floor, but it was a quarter way full of a deep crimson color. A gasp shortly followed as he realized that his daughter had rose-colored blood, cursed blood.

After staring at the child, he heard his brute calling him. "Can I see her now?" the poor drone asked. "No, my dear. She is not one to be touched." The brute looked at him with a trembling face. "No, don't tell me." The man only nodded to the unspoken question. "we can't let them know." The drone stated to the husband as it laid there crying. In the other room the nurse, who collected himself, got up and pulled out what looked like a small triangle. He pushed four buttons and a small buzz sound filled the air. Soon after a voice came through it. "This is the information hotline, how may I help you?' "yes, a child, no that beast of a child was born tonight and has rose blood." The nurse heard a gasp as the person on the phone asked, "Where are you?" "We are at the small house on the hill; yes, that one. "okay, someone will be there shortly." The nurse walked back to the child and moved her into a small hidden space.

The father grew worried as the night grew on. The nurse disappeared along with the newborn. Where is he? He thought as he searched each room for the missing nurse. He found him holding paperwork but no child. "Where is my child?" The nurse turned in shock and answered, "The cursed child? I called them already. They should be here soon. The danger will be dealt with and until then I hid the evil thing." "Why?" asked the father. "She was a threat, an evil crea…" Before he could finish a small surgical knife was stabbed into him. "She's not a danger. She's my daughter. Now, where is she?" The nurse weakly replied, "Find that thing by yo…" he was cut off by his coughing. The man rolled his eyes and started to look. It didn't take long to find his daughter. She was hidden in a small hole in the wall which was covered by a drywall looking sheet. The "father" quickly picked up the crying child. "Shh, it's okay. You're going to be alright Emily. I won't let anyone hurt you." He quietly brought the child to her "mother". "Now, my dear, you can see your precious Emily." "Thank you, Tyler." The "mother" said with tears. Tyler gave the baby to her and said, "Here's Emily, Cecilia." The brute took the child and held her like a lifeline.

After a few hours, a loud crack came from the front of the house. Soon after the sound of footsteps followed. "We're here. Bring the demon child out or we will use force to detain that thing." Tyler looked towards Cecilia. "You two must hide. I will hold them off." Cecilia nodded and hid in another room. The "mother" moved quietly and quickly to find a small drawer to hide Emily in. The drone then hid in the closet. The footsteps grew louder as they came closer. Cecilia breath quicken as they passed by the room.

Not long after did the door creak open along with a deep voice which said "come on out. We know you are in here." Cecilia came out shaking. "Where is the child?" The other brute asked while holding a gun towards her. "her name is Emily. She's not here." "Then we don't need you. "he pulled the trigger and Celica fell. The new "mother" didn't move and feeling the death of her "mother" the child cried out.

Leaving the dead drone, he pulled out the triangle device and spoke, "I found the child. I'm bringing it in now." The man forcefully grabbed the child and walked out of the building. He stuck her in the back seat and drove for a while. Soon he pulled to a completely grey building. "Welcome to your new home. Hope you like it." He said in a rude and cruel way as he brought Emily inside the abandoned looking building.

Meanwhile Tyler was leading the rest of those people away from his family. Not that he knew they already got what they came for, or how his beloved brute ended up. Tyler continued to run around the many turns and twist of the house. He's trying to outrun them, but he's running out of breath. His legs are shaking, and his breathing is heavy.

His luck soon runs out as he passes by a metal object. Slipping behind it, he soon falls face first towards the floor. The people pass by the metal thing and continued on, leaving the poor "father" alone, and when he wakes, he will only find himself.
