Chapter 34 — Control
The sky was was releasing an brilliant ray of light in the sky with the clouds gradually dispersing.
Lou Shi stood on a open stage with her arms crossed. Her pair of blue brows were knitted as she scanned the five students infront of her.
"We will begin your first training," Lou Shi said idyllic and continued, "Your first training will be about spirit power control."
"Spirit Power control?" Ji Yu asked with her face clearly confused.
"Who will win if two spirit master with the same strength were to battle, but the other has poor spirit power control and the other has precise spirit control?" Lou Shi questioned.
Yu Long immediately answered her, "Of course the winner will be the person with precise spirit power control."
Lou Shi nodded her head and asked, "Now tell me the reason why?"
"It's because the spirit master with poor control will waste his energy reserve as he fight," Yu Long said the answer that came from his head.
"That's right, but being able to save more energy is not just the advantage of excellent spirit power control. It also allows you to do many things like—Being able to make your own spirit ability, better and refined body reinforcement, and also flexible in your spirit ability usage," Lou Shi grinned while explaining.
The five students were surprised to hear what Lou Shi had said. Being able to make a self-created spirit ability was certainly extraordinary.
Hu Yu eyes showed a deep glint as she heard the advantage of spirit power control. A hope reignited inside of her
Xiao Yi was inwardly burning with resolve to become proficient in spirit power control to not burden Yu Long in the future.
"What training will we do then?" Fang Lin asked excitedly.
Lou Shi smiled lightly after hearing Fang Lin's question, "First break this tea cup without touching it."
She took out a cup made out of bamboo.
"Break this cup without touching it is..?" Ji Yu asked confused while staring at the cup on top of Lou Shi palm.
"Yes, break this cup with just spirit power." Lou Yue said with a smile.
Yu Long eyes lit up after hearing that. He pointed his finger toward the cup like a gun and gathered his <Star Spirit Power> on it.
"Bang!"
Yu Long lightly shook his finger and a starry light shoot from it.
Baam!
The tea cup turned into dust.
"..."
Lou Shi silently stared at the dust that was on her palm and then looked toward Yu Long.
'This guy is truly an otherworldly.' Lou Shi eyes sparkled in excitement.
She placed another cup on her palm.
"How did you do that? How did you feel!?" Fang Lin quickly asked.
Xiao Yi also looked intently toward Yu Long asking for answer. The two sister expression was also the same.
"Well.. It went like a swoosh and bang!" Yu Long explained what he felt.
"Uh... what?" Fang Lin asked confusedly.
"Ahh! Be more detailed!" Ji Yu said loudly.
"Well that's how I felt it, but I think you gather your spirit power outside your body and shoot it," Yu Long explained after pondering for abit
Fang Lin tried what Yu Long said as he placed his palm toward the cup.
Crack!
His face grew dark as the cup just made a small crack and cursed, "Damn this is hard!"
Xiao Yi tried next and places her palm over the cup.
Crack!
A big crack grew on the cup almost covering it.
Xiao Yi's result was natural since she had trained with Yu Long before for 2 years. The two sister had also tried, but just produced a crack smaller than Fang Lin.
Lou Shi seeing their result was not disappointed. It was naturally hard to controls one spirit power precisely at lower levels.
The cup was also made out of a tough material so it was harder to break.
"Now since you guys had tried to test your spirit power control, I will now assigned you guys to your training," Lou Shi said as she appointed the five students their own training routine for the month.
The two sister and Fang Lin were gonna train by splitting branch of woods and also leaving some stuck on their body using only their spirit power.
Xiao Yi training was about floating some rocks and then crush it into pieces. She will also run on the largest tree in the academy with only spirit power.
Yu Long training was much more difficult than them all combined.
Yu Long and Lou Shi was currently standing near a flowing river.
"I'll have to see the limit of your spirit power control so try to run on the water surface without sinking using only your spirit power," Lou Shi said as she demonstrated how to do it.
Yu Long opened his mouth in amazement seeing Lou Shi walking on the water, "Where did you learn this?"
Lou Shi returned to the land and quickly answered Yu Long, "I learn about the importance of spirit control from my old acquaintance. I then started my adventure around the continent to improve and refine the training methods of spirit power control."
Yu Long nodded his head in admiration after hearing Lou Shi story. He then took a deep breath as his feet landed on the waters surface.
A starry light gathered on Yu Long's feet as he started to run on the surface of the water without any difficulty.
"How did his spirit power control managed to get this far..?" Lou Shi muttered In envy for Yu Long's Otherwordly talent.
The reason for Yu Long's impressive spirit power control was because of his massive and pure <Spiritual Strength> that had been hone by reading many books and sculpting countless amount of sculptures. His <Regulus Controlling Star> was also another factor to consider.
Lou Shi then thought of way that will still improve Yu Long's spirit power control and then immediately got an idea.
"Follow me, we will go into another spot," Lou Shi motioned for Yu Long.
Yu Long nodded his head and quickly followed Lou Shi.
The two of them soon arrived Infront of a huge waterfall.
Yu Long stepped back as he gulped his saliva in fear.
"Can I back down from this?" Yu Long looked toward Lou Shi face.
"Of course No," Lou Shi showed a loving smile on her face.
Yu Long dropped his shoulder as he trembled in fear.
He now knows why Lou Yue fear his wife.
