Chapter 2: The Dream
Her eyes fluttered open as a stall smell reached her nose. She lifted her hand to rub sleeps out of her eyes. As her arms comes into sights she gasped. A pool of red was under her arm and her arm was covered in blood. She jumped up from the fridge ground and hurried to grab a wrap for her arm. She quickly wrapped her cuts and ran to grab a towel from the closet. Lavender's eyes roamed the darkened closet to find a dark towel to hid the blood stain. She yanked the darkest towel from the stack and ran toward the green yellow bathroom. She mopped up the red substance from the white tiles. She squeaked and threw the towel under the sink cabinets. Just as the cabinets were closed the most intoxicating smell filled Lavender's nose. Her eyes widen when she realized what day it was. She ran over to her ripped up calendar to see "Day of hell." Written in a red pen with a circle around it. This day mark was her brother and her birthday. Not just any birthday, their 18th birthday. The day were Lavender gets rejected by her mate and the day Alex finds his Luna. Her eyes widen and her head jerked toward her door with was thrown open to revile her step brother with his nose in the air. Alex's eyes narrowed to the figure of his runt of a sister. "You! You! You what did you do with my mate you stupid bitch!" He yelled making Lavender scoot further into the corner of the room. Alex came stomping down the stairs to glare at her. His eyes looked for any other person in the room with her. Though he knew no one else could be down here because he lock the door from the outside. He is the only with the key to the door. A thought soon entered his usually empty brain. A way to make Lavender suffer more than any other thing he has done. "I will not reject you,Runt. But I will never be your mate. And if you try to reject me I will kill you in you sleep." He smirked and walked up the steps not before slapping Lavender on the face. " what is he going to do?" She questioned herself before her stomach began to twist which cause tears to fall from her eyes. She fell to the ground clutching her stomach as she screamed in pain and agony. "He is mating someone else." A sweet girl voice said inside of Lavender's mind. Lavender jump slightly "Who are you?" Lavender questioned the voice. A small chuckle felt the voice. "I am your wolf Lavender. My name is Artemis, like the Greek goddess of the hunt and virginity."Artemis said while doing a small bow in the back of Lavender's mind. Lavender forgot that you get your wolf when you turn 18. "Artemis how do I get the pain to stop?" Lavender asked as more tears fell down her cheeks onto the cold floor. "You must break the bond." Artemis said a matter of factly. Pain jolted through Lavender's body as she screamed out in pain. "I can't reject him. He said he would kill me." Lavender thought through her sobs. Artemis was out of ideas to save her counter part.
"Run away?" Artemis thought through the mind link. Lavender began to shake her head violently. "I tried once, he made all of the pack warriors find me. Once he found me he locked me in this room without food or water for a week." Lavender said as her mind went back to that dark time. Artemis nodded in the back of Lavender's head."Then we wait." Artemis said as the pain finally stopped and all Lavender could do is nod. As her eyes began to weigh and she fell into a deep sleep.
(Lavender's Dream First person)
The dark red substance ran down my head and stained my all white clothing. A pile of bodies laid next to me. A mirror appeared in front of me. A dagger rested in my palm which was dripping blood. I stood over my parents bodies who have stab wounds on their temples. Alex's body laid beside them with all the wounds he gave me. My eyes met the mirror, an evil smile over took my fearful features. Blood was pooled at my ankles and stained the bottoms of the legs on my white dress pants. Loud screams exploded from behind me as the dagger in my palm was replaced with a control switch that had been turned on. Loud booming of bombs hitting the pack house filled my ear drums. My legs walked up the pile of dead bodies. As I stood on top of the lifeless forms my dagger appeared on more. I began to slowly carve into my mother's stomach. "Useless" Is what I carved. I stood over top of Alex's body slowly carving 'Runt, Slut, Bitch' into his forehead and stomach. Walking over to my father's dead body a smirk over took my features. I slowly began to carve out his stomach and cut opened his brain. Slowly after removing his brain I carved 'Hate, Useless,ungrateful,stupid.' With a chuckle I slowly placed a lite match on their bodies which became a bonfire.
(End of Lavender's dream)
She jumped out of bed. Her face drenched with sweat beads. "Gods what a gruesome dream." Artemis chuckled in the back of Lavender's head. "I never had a dream like that." Lavender responded while clutching her pillow to her stomach as she wiped the sweat off of her face. She went through breathing exercises to calm her head. Once she felt less dizzy she walked to the greenish yellow bathroom where she splashed her face with cold water. She quickly dried her face and quickly walked back to her mattresses woren out sheets.
