Chapter 2: Chapter 2: Family
Just was Amos was about to focus his mind on the bubbles and was about to further explore the things in the bubbles, he sensed that someone was knocking on the door and hurriedly exited from the inventory.
Suddenly, there was a sense of exhaustion in his mind and it took 2 seconds to clear his mind and open the door.
Soon after opening the door, a middle aged woman came in with a bright smile on her face. while holding a box of sweets in her hand.
She is around 1.6m tall and had with a fair complexion and some white hair mixed in with her long black hair. She had a small scar over her sunken eyes which reduced the beauty. But it could be clearly seen that she was an absolute beauty in the past.
"Happy Birthday Allen!" said the middle aged woman with a bright smile on her face while trying to feed Amos the sweet in her hand.
Amos looked at his adoptive mother Emma who looked at him with love, he couldn't help being moved in his heart and clenched his fists hard while recalling the things they had done for him.
Even though he was only their adapted son, Emma and Stane loved him very much and treated him as if he was their real son in spite of his frequent illness and problematic personality. If at all, those things only made them care for him even more. He always felt that he was a burden on them.
He couldn't even tell them his real name so as to not implicate them with his past affairs. After he started living with them , he renamed himself as Allen Mackrel taking their surname.
Looking at Allen, who went into a daze, Emma was a little concerned thinking that he was having problem with his body again.
she was also helpless. They did everything with their financial ability to help him find a cure but they couldn't even find out what the problem was.
She sighed and asked " Are you alright, Allen?"
Looking at Emma who was worried about him, Allen quickly collected himself and said "I am very well, Mother. In fact, better than ever! I feel that my body is getting better these days!"
"Alright! it's getting late. I have to get ready and go to college." saying so, Allen slightly nudged Emma out of the room without giving her a chance to say anything while closing the door. After all, he was very anxious and excited about the items in his system inventory.
After sending his mother out of the room, Allen once again put his mind in the system inventory and this time directly focused his thoughts on the body cleansing fluid and tried to take it out by conveying his thoughts to the system.
"Host can directly take out the items in the system inventory by just thinking about it while focusing your mind on the said item. But, the process exhausts the host spiritually. As the host is currently very weak, it is advised not to try this often. the same rules applies while receiving any items into the system inventory." the system said monotonously.
Hearing this, Allen immediately tried it and the bottle of body cleansing fluid appeared in his hand while a sense of exhaustion hit his mind again which should be the spiritual loss mentioned by the system.
Allen immediately started observing the bottle while holding his forehead. The bottle felt very cool to touch and is covered in some sort of rune patterns which made his brain dizzy just by looking at them.
Ignoring the runes, Allen immediately thought about draining the whole bottle of fluid into his mouth. But, just to be careful, he conveyed this thought to system.
The system immediately replied by saying "It is advised that the host takes one drop at a time at gradually increasing doses to have the best effect. As this is a flawless grade potion that is stored in energy condensing rune bottle, the energy inside this bottle is not something the weak body of the host can tolerate. Mix a drop of potion with pure water and drink it directly to have the optimum effect."
After hearing the system message, Allen quickly followed the system instructions and quickly mixed a drop of body cleansing fluid into a bottle of water and started drinking it.
it took him 2 minutes to finish the whole bottle while holding his stomach. even though the liquid is very tasty, he just couldn't drink a whole liter of solution at once with his small and weak body.
Soon after he finished drinking the solution, he felt a sense of coolness from his stomach followed by a sense of heat from the whole body.
Initially, the heat made him feel very good as if soaking in a warm bathtub in winter. with time, the heat began to increase exponentially and he felt that he was being cooked and he started sweating a lot.
Slowly, along with the sweat, his body started discharging a whole lot of impurities and a disgusting smell started to spread inside the room. He moved with difficulty and switched on the fan and opened the windows and he crawled into the bathroom with difficulty.
Soon after entering the bathroom, he vomited a black gooey stuff from his mouth. Next, his stomach started making 'gulu gulu' sounds and he hurriedly opened his pants and sat on the toilet. After that, he felt disgusted at his own existence after seeing his own excretion and hurriedly flushed away everything.
After that, he turned on the shower and slowly sat below the shower head on the bathroom floor while leaning his back on the wall. The cold water helped him relieve the internal heat in his body. It took a whole 20 minutes for the whole process to be over and he felt mentally drained after it is done.
But, the whole ordeal is not without results as his body felt like it was reborn. It no longer felt painful to move and in fact he enjoyed this feeling. after all, it's been a tormenting 3 years where his body felt weak and even living itself felt like a burden.
