this novel is really trashy no joke the FL is the worst I've seen in a while and is so dumb that i feel bad for the ML. As of chapter 40 there is not much romance to speak of and the FL continues to be pathetic and make bad decisions. She can't defend her self at all and I can predict that in the future she will only rely on the ML to solve her problems. In addtion to that point this novel doesn't even attempt to world build or even build supporting characters bc everyone outside of the antagonists and the main couple barely exist. 40 chapters and we only really heard from the driver. I don't feel any attachment towards reading about the romance between the main couple because there is nothing romantic about this regurgitated revenge plot against the evil stepmom, dad & stepsis (with the crazy ex-boyfriend thrown in). It doesnt even add anything new to the already saturated genre... The ML seems fine so far but the plot holes are really reaching to get him to be where he needs to be to rescue the FL. She's honestly not worth the effort and is just another characature of an actress, but in this novel, she doesnt even have a current acting job and even pole dances while making excuses for herself. This FL is in no way in a desperate enough situation to have to resort to that and is already living with the ML immediately after leaving home. She has a terminally ill brother, but instead of doing the sane thing and seeing if her husband can help in any way she'd rather hide it altogether and pretend her marriage is fake. Like what is the ML getting out of this realtionship lady! If you dont wanna do anything for him when he's doing you such a huge favor by marrying you then at least dont give him attitude. Clearly the FL is so unaware of herself and her circumstances that she takes it for granted that this male stranger will respect her and put up with her crap just because she's pretty. Take my advice fellow readers, dont vote for this or waste your time on it. there are much better options in the trial read section.

If you are not yet tired of the usual tropes of step families and drugged out heroines, go for it. Still annoying how writers believe that marriage cancels out the rape. What is wrong with a cold shower or a Hospital? It's not like he found her turning tricks at a corner. Ugh so disappointing.

Nothing new here in this storyline, handsome beyond belief ML,too beautiful to believe FL,money,powerful,evil family, drugged (is getting these date drugs that easy😳)etc...what can i say we love’em🤷🏽🤷🏽🤷🏽

Another novel where the ML rapes the FL and his reasoning is that she was the one who attacked him first as if he couldn't tell that she was clearly drugged. The FLs attitude is also not good. I have no idea whether the novel will be good or not but I have no intention to find out. I will just place this in the box where I relegate similar rape books.
