Chapter 2: Chapter 1
As time draws closer to the meetup time, the nervousness I have builds.
"Will I be able to keep up? I mean I used to be the She-Devil who conquered the hell event in the first year." I thought to myself.
Suddenly, my alarm goes off and I immediately turn it off. Then, I slap both of my cheeks to snap out of my funk.
"Alright. Time to go." I said as I push the Power button on my watch.
The watch glows and the form of it changes into something I never have seen before. It was a high-tech holographic watch that my husband was supposed to release two weeks from now.
"Does he know I'm participating in the event?" I thought. Then, the watch glowed again and I was instantly teleported into the game. I walked around a little to find my friends, but I also need to get in the hang of things. As I walked around, I didn't see any sign of my friends. I started to think I was getting abandoned by them. Suddenly, I heard screaming from a kid. From the sound of it, He were being chased by something. However, I didn't feel like I could help any. Suddenly, I was knocked down by an androgynous kid. Then, he helped me with a hurried expression on his childlike face. I grabbed his hand and stood up.
"I'm so sorry for knocking you down." He said just before he took off again.
"He reminds me of someone." I said to myself.
"Freya! Over here."
I looked around to see who was calling out to me, and I saw my friend surround by people I don't recognize. I couldn't help but think "Called it," with the most arrogant look as I walked over there.
"So, found the first stage yet?" My friend asked me.
"Wow! Straight To the point. No introductions. Is gamer etiquette dead now?" I thought to myself.
"No, I haven't found anything. I was looking for you."
"Oh! Really? Well, that just means that we have to find this stage together." She said. As she continued to talk about a plan, the rest of the group kept staring at me. And, not in the fanboy way... they looked disappointed in me. This only made me more nervous. Suddenly, I heard another kid screaming. This time I saw what he was being chased by. Big, sturdy bulls with Bull-E on their collars. I was surprised to see new monsters, but seeing no one helping him surprised me even more. Game etiquette has surely died.
"I guess I have to save him."
I looked at my watch and a large holographic screen hovered above it. This is our inventory. It allows us to store items such as vehicles, clothes, weapons, and etc. It seems like I kept all of my items I earned and created from the past, including my speed suit. This suit sends lightning throughout the user's entire body, granting them super speed. The only downside to this suit is that it's super embarrassing. The suit itself is okay, but I think it shows off my curves a bit too much. I guess my husband didn't think of this when he designed the suit. I swallowed my pride and equipped it. Slowly, the suit formed around my body. Then, I felt lightning flooding into my body. Every nerve was struck with billions of electricity. Suddenly, everything around me slowed down.
"Just like I remembered." I thought to myself.
"Wow! You're rude. I was talking about our plan of action. What's so important that you have to ignore me?" My friend said upsettingly.
"There's a kid that needs help. Plus, your friends in your party keep staring at me. It makes me uncomfortable, Rosa."
"They're probably just intimidated by you," She said as she tries to get on my good side.
"Doubt it," I replied as I tried to walk away, however, she got in my way every time I moved. Soon, I got agitated and the situation escalated to unthinkable heights. However, to everyone else, we were nothing but lightning bolts moving around. We fought in the past, but she was extremely serious about this one. She chased me and prevented me from getting closer to that boy. Unfortunately for me, Rosa has been playing the game a lot more than me, so her level must be higher than last time. Who knows how much of her potential she has access too now. But, I still have a few tricks up my sleeve.
"Unlock first and second restriction,"
Me being technically the queen of the FIG, I asked Rin to place limiters on my body when I finished the hell event. He gave me three limiters which locked portions of my potential, but it didn't affect my leveling. Sadly, if I removed any one of them, they're permanently gone. Suddenly, my body began to felt lighter and a status screen popped up. It showed my level grew from level twenty-five to sixty-five. Then, the lightning, flowing throughout my body, increased by tenfold, and I got faster. So, Rosa couldn't keep up with me easily anymore. To her, I was nothing to her but blur.
As I approached the boy, I slowed down to picked him up without causing him too much shock. Suddenly, a screen popped up in front of my eyes.
"Congratulations, Freya, you have completed the first stage of this event. You now have the lead in this event. As a reward, take this item with you." The screen read. Then, an image of a sword appeared over the screen.
"Sword of the Queen replica,"
People must've wanted a powerful weapon to rival me. Luckily, no one knows that I'm the queen of FIG. All they know is that I'm the goddess of hell who single-handedly conquered the world hell event. Suddenly, the bulls disappeared and I stopped. I sat the boy down and asked
"What did you have to do with the first stage of this event?"
"I don't know. I can't remember. All I remember is that I was somewhere hot and dark. Then I appeared here being chased by those bull monsters."
I had an idea who he was, but I needed to be completely sure. Then, I used an appraisal skill I attained last year. Even though it was still in the beginning stages, I was able to read his status.
"Name: V, Level: seventy-five, Titles: Prince of hell, Gemini twin, the eighth seat of the Royal Guard." It read
"Shit! How can I forget about my own child."
After the hell event and before I left the game, Rin and I found out we were going to be parents in the real world. Excited as we were, both of us were nervous to become parents. So, Rin created a child making program in the FIG world exclusively for us. We made a set of twins that would serve as practice for us. However, we weren't expecting something so unexplainable. Somehow during the child making process in FIG, the child making program took my actual unborn child in my womb and made the Virgo twins from it. The doctor couldn't explain this. phenomenal event. Rin couldn't even explain it. Although, I was looking forward to having my child in the real world; I didn't mind if my child was in FIG. It's not like it was a difference between a real-world child and a FIG child. I could touch, hold, feed, hug, and love them just the same. Plus, since Rin is kinda the king of doing the impossible, I'm sure he thinking of a way to bring our kids back to the real world with us.
"I can't believe I forgot about you, V. I'm so sorry," I said as I hugged him tightly.
"I'm sorry, but who are you?" He asked with a confused, paranoid look.
"I'm your mother. Don't you recognize me?" I asked worriedly.
He looked at me afraid. Then, I snapped out of it, and thought to myself what could've happened to him? All of the answers I thought of was to call Rin and hope he had a solution. Luckily, he should be in FIG also. And, I think I know exactly. I unequipped the speed suit and placed it back in my inventory. Then, I scrolled down my inventory looking for my vehicles I kept in there. Then, an annoying person showed up.
"Freya, aren't you done? That kid is rescued. Let's get back to the group already." She said.
"No thanks, Rosa, I rather stay with the kid than be judged by your party. Besides, I'm kind of busy." I replied as I continued to scroll down my list.
"Doing what?" She asked.
"Finding his sister. Now if you please leave."
"No! You promised you'll help me with this event." She whined like a child.
"That was before the uncomfortable stares and the fight we just had. By the way, thanks for that, I had to release two of my limiters because of you."
"I don't see why you play with those anyways. You're just holding your level thirty potential down to a level twenty-five," she said smugly.
"Wrong, idiot," I said as I summoned my status screen and flicked it over to her. Almost instantaneously, she took back what she said.
"Level sixty-five! What kind of person reaches that level? The FIG has only been out for two years and you only just came back."
"I'm not obligated to tell you, but the hell event was a great Exp point farm. Ah, found it." I said as I grabbed a miniature mobile command station.
This is usually used by guilds or clans when they're out on a long quest, but I thought I should buy one just in case. It basically something everybody needs. It's completely unbreakable. It's able to travel over the most hellish plains in the FIG for long periods of time. And it works as a respawn point. I sat the miniature command center down, and it began to glow. Slowly, pieces of the command center formed and built on top of each other, eventually forming a custom vehicle recognized by the high ranking users as Queen's chariot.
"V, go upstairs and sit down in a seat. I'll be there in a minute."
As he walked away, I turned towards Rosa. She had the most determined look on her face. I immediately knew what she wanted from me. Knowing I was going to regret agreeing to her unspoken request, I told her to go get that rude party of hers. She immediately ran out of the command station, and I walked up the stairs. Once there, I saw a world map in a three-dimensional flattop. The map itself was made from a sandlike substance that you would see in comics or cartoons. Not only that, the map was able to track any and everyone in the FIG world. PKs(player killers) would die for this map, but thankfully, this was only exclusive to people with high levels and took certain quests. Using this map, I could track both my husband and my daughter. I'd put their info into the computer and looked at the map. Luckily, they were right beside each other which made this easier for me. I programmed the autopilot with their location and waited for Rosa.
Suddenly, I heard voices coming from below.
"Wow, boss, this is amazing. I can't believe you own something like this." One of the boys from the group said.
"Actually, thi-
"Boss, where's that good for nothing friend of yours?" One of the girls from the group asked.
"Yeah, why did you invite that low-level old lady with us?" Another girl asked.
"Yeah, she was at level twenty-five. Anywhere we went, she would've been a burden on us." Rosa said.
"Oh, is that how you felt?" I said as I walked down the stairs.
"Freya! I didn't know you were
" What? Upstairs? Listening? Existing? Choose one. I'm sure they're all right." I said interrupting Rosa.
"N- No, I was going to say
"Save it! I already know of your wishy-washy behavior, however, you should inform your party who I am," I said as I summoned my status and showed the party using the command center main projector.
"Name: Freya, Level: sixty-five, Title: Queen of Hell, Warrior Goddess, Conqueror of Hell, Potential level: Two-thousand, Abilities: Copycat's Eye, Perfect Resonance, Unlimited knowledge." The command center's computer said.
Luckily, most of my stats and skills were covered by question marks, thanks to my last limiter. Most of them were overpowered while others were just unexplainable. Before you say it, I didn't cheat using Rin. I truly love him and would never use him for my progress in anything. I earned all of my items, skills, and Exp points by literally going through hell. Anyway, I just hope they'll learn how skilled I am. However, I think it had the opposite effect. They just walked off and went their separate ways.
"Freya, let me apologize for
"Save it," I said as interrupted Rosa. "Computer, take off!"
"Yes, milady."
The engine began to power up. Then, something unexpected happened. The mobile command center, which is usually travel by land, began to float. I wonder if this is something else I missed in the past year
