Chapter 33 — Extreme North, Icebound Forest (1)
One year quickly passed since Xue Qinghe had left the clan.
Ning Chen was now 12 years old after celebrating his birthday recently with all of his family.
He spent most of this one year with his family and bonded with them through many activities.
Ning Chen had also hired an expert musician to teach him better about playing his flute and it worked out well.
He was now an expert at playing the flute.
Ning Chen would always make his parents, sister, and grandpa's listen to him playing it.
They didn't complained since Ning Chen played it extremely well.
Ning Chen didn't have the slightest clue on why he wanted to play the flute better, but he eventually stopped thinking about it.
The flute was after all an amazing way to vent all of his emotions and desires into the world.
Besides learning more about the flute, Ning Chen shorty studied under his father and was able to learn many things at the end.
But the things he had recently learned still couldn't compare to his father and Xue Qinghe.
Ning Chen had also continued to occasionally study and spar with Chen Xin.
His skills with the sword had risen as a result, allowing to finally have complete mastery over the sword weight realm.
He can now perfectly control his sword and capable of reversing it's weight.
However, Ning Chen still haven't advanced toward the sword intent level.
His intent seed had already reached it's very peak with cracks appearing around it's shell, but still won't advance.

Ning Chen contemplated for many days before finally deciding on leaving the clan again.
He wouldn't go away for several years like last time, but return occasionally every few months.

It was also the perfect time to search for his group's future members.
Ning Chen pondered on where to find them and narrowed it down toward the Heaven Dou Imperial Academy.
He didn't wanted to search all over the entire continent just to find them and decided to narrow down his searching location.
The Heaven Dou Imperial Academy was the most famous and prestigious academy.
Ning Chen had no doubts that some unpolished gems would be hiding inside it.
He decided to enroll and stay at that academy for a short period of time, but didn't think of immediately going toward there.
Ning Chen was thinking of acquiring his fourth spirit ring first.
The place he was gonna get the spirit ring was not at the Star Dou Forest, but instead at a placed located at the north.
Ning Chen smirked as his gaze landed toward the northern sky.
It was a place with the coldest environment and always covered in dense snow—The Extreme North.
That place was the perfect spot to acquire his fourth spirit ring.
Ning Chen then went toward his father's office and told him about his plans.
Ning Fengzhi pondered for a moment and agreed to Ning Chen in the end.
He didn't rejected Ning Chen because it was after all the best for him.
Ning Chen wasn't support system like them, but an offensive system.
He needs to fight against other stronger people to grow stronger.
This news soon spread toward Ning Chen's mother and sister.
Ning Xiao'er surprisingly didn't disapproved about this and just felt sad that Ning Chen was gonna leave again.
Ning Chen comforted his mother and said he would be gone just for a few months.
Ning Rongrong on the other hand was upset and clearly didn't wanted Ning Chen to leave, but their parents had already agreed to it.
She wanted to come along with Ning Chen, but he quickly rejected her.
He was after all going somewhere dangerous.
Ning Rongrong pouted in dissatisfaction, but could only accept in the end.
She inwardly knew that she couldn't always be with her brother all the time and she wasn't spoiled rotten like other nobles.
Ning Chen was extremely glad his sister agreed and started to pet her head.
This slightly eased Ning Rongrong's upset heart.
Ning Chen started to prepare his belongings for his journey toward the Extreme North.
Ning Fengzhi wanted to send someone to accompany him, but Ning Chen refused decisively.
He was strong enough and wanted to be alone.
After preparing everything needed, Ning Chen finally set toward the Extreme North by using the handy carriage.
Ning Chen was excited to see what was waiting for him there at the north.

After travelling for several weeks, Ning Chen finally arrived at Extreme North — the Icebound Forest.
The forest was filled with large trees covered in snow and the wind was very strong.
There were also many unfamiliar spirit beasts everywhere.
After stepping foot on this unfamiliar land, Ning Chen immediately felt an unbearable coldness entering his body, making him feel cold and rigid.
He tried to circulate his spirit power to melt the bone-chilling coldness inside his body, but found the spirit power circulating slowly.
Ning Chen decided to not wander around the forest for now and focus on adapting to this new environment first.
He sat underneath a large tree and started to cultivate silently, trying to adapt to this extremely cold environment.
His spirit power which was flowing slowly due to the coldness, gradually began to flow smoothly throughout the entirety of his body.
After several hours of cultivating in complete silence, Ning Chen managed to completely adapt to his new environment.
He felt refreshed and comfortable, feeling his spirit power flowing much more smoother and efficiently inside his body compared to before.
Ning Chen also felt the rigidness his body was feeling before now vanishing. He now felt light, but very cold.
He was glad to wear a set of thick clothes made out of fur.

A month later after Ning Chen left, Ning Rongrong decided to ran away from the mansion.
She didn't got into a fight with her parents, but rather because she was simply bored and lonely without her brother.
So, she decided to copy her brother and leave the clan to experience a small adventure of her own.
Ning Fengzhi and Ning Xiao'er was able to quickly notice Ning Rongrong running away.
They were thinking of making her return back, but then thought this was an opportunity for Ning Rongrong to learn about the outside world.
Both of them were slightly worried about her safety, so they made someone guard her from the shadow.
However, the guard couldn't do much as Ning Rongrong was quite formidable after training with Ning Chen.
The alternate realm's fate was now starting to move forward.
And it's possibility of clashing with the original realm was slowly rising.

Ning Chen will not join Shrek Academy since he doesn't even know about its existence and he wouldn't even think about joining a poor unknown academy.
If I somehow did that, it would feel forced.
There might be details not written because i wrote this in rush.
Due to feeling lazy, but I just wanted to rush the plot forward slightly.
