Chapter 21: Fighting a boss

Now before you guys start lashing out saying that this should be the confessions chapter please here me out I decided to skip this chapter because I thought it was taking to long for the Canon to begin so I skipped that the only reason I am writing this is because I want asta to face a monster and gain an ability that will help him in the future so please forgive me for skipping the romance chap

Father: asta you look exhausted what happened
Asta: you will know what happened when you have four women sleeping on top of you hugging you like a body pillow
Yuna: you are lucky not many people get to sleep with two of the most gorgeous women in the entire clover kingdom
Asta: ' Well it is not my fault that all four of you decided to confess to me at the exact same time and jumped on to my bed when I said yes ' Well let's leave it at that I will go train now
{middle of the forest} {asta pov}
I looked nearby to find a cave that I did not see before right below the skull of the monster it was hard to notice but I was able to find it
As I slide inside the hole I came across a large chamber that had claw marks on them so before I take any risk I wanted to get ready for it
Asta: Fey integrate the spirits in the swords
Fey : [as you say, host]
Fey : [ you should be able to use their ability but they will only wake up after some time]
Asta: what are their abilities
Fey:[ the blessed spirit has the ability to purify while the cursed spirit has the ability to curse]
Asta: then I will enter this dungeon and defeat what's inside
As I approached the room I saw something huge the size of a two-story building with a dark bluish-purple coloured body two sets of claws on each limb and a mouth with jagged Teeth f I were to call it a beast that would be an understatement this thing deserved the title of a monster I looked at it and it moved in my direction as our eyes met the only thing that I was focused on was those blood-red eyes that only showed rage and predatory instinct
As I tried to approach my sword it charged at me like a truck
I used activated my warrior's will and jumped out of its path but it managed cut some strands of my hair
I knew that this thing would be a challenge like no other
{3rd person pov}
As asta got in his stance he spread on the monster and coated it in a layer of thermite (aluminium + iron three oxide when slightly heated, burns quickly with temperature reaching up to 4000 °F)(A/N: science facts with black Knight)
And ran at the monster slashing it on the tail able to create sparks which lighted the monster on fire as the monster started to lose control asta used this opportunity to cut down the monster's tail
As the monster let out a shriek capable of damaging anyone ears
Asta jumped back and decided to use space manipulation and created a portal to reach it but the monster was quick and was able to sense and doge it each time so asta decide to pull some more tricks he paralyzed the monster and attack him but to his surprise, the monster was able to resist the attack asta decide to change his strategy and coated his body with haki making him immune to his claws he then decide to end the fight by coating his blade with diamond particles ( OK so I googled the hardest salt and got diamond as an answer so don't judge me) and sliced two of the monster's limbs making him unable to move
The monster used his hind legs and jumped onto asta who made a shield using diamond and was able to absorb the impact and then left his shield in the monster mouth to give finish it, he backed off and then used his space ability to go on top of the monster head and then used his diamond-edged sword to slash its head killing it in the process
Fey :[ you have gained the title monster slayer - defeat a monster of s rank. You now have the ability to deal double damage to beast and monster based enemies]
Asta: that's good well it's already late I should leave now

Asta: father I am hungry
Father: Well you do look like you were doing some intense workout
Asta: well yes I was
Father: OK buddy first of all congrats on your engagement it might not be official yet but it's still a reason to celebrate
Asta: yeah I was a little surprised when char and Mel brought that but I shrugged it off since I will never stop loving a person if they are willing to spend their life with me
Father: well then this calls for celebration we are going to have drinks tonight as our boy has finally turned into a man
Asta: stop that father well a little celebrating does not hurt
Both of them parties till the mid night and asta then took a fainted father to his room and proceeded to go to his own room where Lilly and Yuna were waiting for him (no ecchi scene only head pats, hand holding and moe moments are allowed) ( A/N

So I am sorry for skipping the confessions part but I wanted to move the story forward and since I did not have any ideas I've decided to start the Canon arcs now as it will be much easier to write so I am going to skip to the grimoire accepting ceremony and then a small skip to when he goes to the clover kingdom for the selection also I will make him challenge yami and probably scare the king ( the king not the wizard King) also I wanted to say that thanks for all the support on this novel I started this to test how can I put my thinking into written work and so far it good not the greatest but it's fine since I am just a beginner at this.
