Chapter 3: New Little Friend
"You see, Arney was a mute and I was a blind. The world shunned us because of this. He showed up at my front door 10 months ago and, well he can't tell me. I was confused because I heard someone out there but they didn't answer me. I called out 'Who's there!?' no answer, then someone touched me. It was Arney! For years I've wanted a friend! I've swore to take care of him, and I've been fulfilling that promise ever since."
"I can see a little bit now, and Arney can speak better." After hearing this sad/happy story, well, I'm just glad it has a happy ending.
"That is so sad, but I guess it's what brought you together. I guess I haven't. "No."
"By the way, he has no tongue." "NO TONGUE, WHAT!? But how do you talk, and eat, and laugh?" "He has a prosthetic tongue, and he can't move it so . . . "
Suddenly, a loud 'clank' erupted, revealing it to be a spoon falling to the ground. And the pusher is a small human like me. She seems to be about my age (15 years). Rob went to pick her up and he brought her over to me. I greeted her "Hello." I said slightly cheerfully. "Uh H-Hi." she stuttered a little bit. I held her hand and stood next to her. "Don't worry, they won't hurt you." I knew for sure Rob wouldn't, but Arney probably might. "I'm Jacqueline." "Lucy."
