Chapter 4: The new leaders are......
I woke up and did my morning routine and left my home.
My day went as usual and I didn't concentrate on the offer jungkook gave me. My first aim, was to kick Hyun-ae out of the cheerleader team. For that, I had to be myself to become the head.
I used to just say hi to those guys, but never really talked to them. Lisa always says I should give it a try. But, I always told later. That later, I don't know when.
I started learning every step, quickly. So it was easy for me. But the boys suffered a bit. But within 5-6 mins, they would finish it.
Weeks passed. Nothing had changed.
"Everyone. Come here." The teacher called us. We gathered together.
"Tomorrow, we'll be deciding who is the next leader for each group." He said. Everyone were excited and happy. But I didn't show it outside. I was happy inside.
"Okay. Times up. You guys can leave, now." The teacher said. We packed and left.
On our way home, Lisa asked,"Dude! Seriously?"
"What??" I asked, not knowing what she was talking about.
"Everyone were so happy and excited, for being the leader. You don't feel that way?" She asked.
"Why should I? I came here recently. Without knowing me fully, how will he give me a chance? And I'm not interested in leadership." I said.
Our ways parted. I waved at her. She waved back.
*Next day
Another morning, same routine.
I left my house and went to the class, early this time. Everyone were there, on time. Even that grumpy face. Till now, I don't know what is wrong with him.
"Students, we have two guys from the next class. From now on, they'll be in our class." The teacher came in and said.
"Come in and introduce yourself." She said and started writing something on the board.
The guys entered. They both looked familiar to me. It was...it was Taehyung and Jungkook.
Why are they shifted to this class? I asked myself. Anyway, act normal. I said and took a deep breath in.
From the corner of my eye, I could see Jimin staring at me. I turned front, sitting like he isn't seen to me.
"Hi. I'm Kim Taehyung." "And I'm Jeon Jungkook." They said and bowed down.
"You both can sit behind, y/n and Jimin." The teacher said and continued her work.
They were surprised to see me. So was I. They quickly came and sat down.
"Y/n. You didn't tell us you both were partners." Taehyung asked.
"What??" Me and Jimin said, staring at him. I turned and saw him look at me. I didn't wanna create ruckus with him. So I turned front, before getting screwed by the teacher.
The whole day, they three were chatting, chatting and chatting, only. I mean like, can't they shut for a second.
I also noticed the difference, when Jimin is with his friends and when he talks to me. What have I even done?
I felt bored and disturbed, so I slept off.
"Y/n. Wake up." I heard a voice.
I rubbed my eyes and saw Lisa standing there.
"What is it, Lisa?" I asked. And I saw, no one was there at class.
"Come on, y/n. We have practice today. You forgot?" She asked.
"Crap! Sorry. I just overslept during the class. Let's go." I said and we both started running.
We entered the room and saw everyone present there.
"Y/n, Lisa. Why are you late?" The teacher asked.
"Sir, actually....." Lisa said.
"Anyways. It's okay, but next time, be on time. Now come and join quickly." He said.
We both kept our bags and stood with our groups.
"Okay, now you can start your practice." He said and left.
That's all? I asked myself.
Yoongi approached me and asked,"y/n. Wanna be in the middle?"
"No. I'll take the side." I said, with a smile.
"You really are someone." He said. And we both laughed.
Jimin stared at me and yoongi laughing. Till the practice got over, I could feel his gaze on me.
'What does he even want?' I asked in my mind.
We were practicing for the song named "Don't leave me down" by The Chainsmokers.
We finally finished our practice and and gathered in a place.
"Okay. Now, I'll tell you guys, who is our next leader for this year." He said.
Everyone were on the edge of their seat. Except me, I leaned back.
I wanted to get it, but I didn't have hopes for being selected. So I was cool.
"First, I'll tell the boys." He said.
"This time, it had changed. It our hardworking student, Jimin!" He said and clapped. I also clapped, not feeling interested.
"Okay, now the girls. Guess who it is???" He asked, excitedly.
"She is an excellent student. A quick learner. A ....." he was saying. It I didn't pay any attention except one part, where he was going to say the girls name.
"It's none other than Y/N, our new joinee!" He said happily.
I was surprised to hear my name. I mean like, seriously. Me??!! I asked myself. I came to conscious then. I stood and saw Jimin and the other girl's staring at me.
I acted like they were nothing to me and thanked my teacher. The teacher said and left.
I went behind him and stopped him, "sir." "What is it,y/n?" He asked.
"Sir, I need to know something."
"Yeah sure. Ask me anything." He said.
Then I asked,"sir, why did you choose me while there were many others here?" Cause, I was new and didn't know why he chose me.
"Cause, y/n, you were very talented, at the day I saw you first. You learnt everything quickly, and were able to do anything to dance. You were strong and brace to join in an all male group, even while you had a girls group. Your passion towards dance, has made me take this decision." He said and went away.
"Abeoji, thank you so much!" I said, whispering to myself, when the teacher left.
I turned back and saw Hyun-ae and her gang staring at me.
I walked towards them and said,"hey there. I hope you remember me!" I asked, sarcastically.
"What do you want? Just so you became the leader..." before I could let her finish, I cut her sentence and said,"oh god! I've got more knowledge than you do. Plus, I know what I'm doing." I said, laughing.
"Shut up and mind your own..." again I cut her, and said,"actually it's kinda fun, cutting your sentence and me advising you to be a good child. But what can I do. The more advice I give you, the worst you change." I said sarcastically sad.
"Just leave me alone." Hyun-ae said, catching everyone's attention.
"Sure, not only you, I'll leave you and your gang undisturbed, alone, etc. from today. Why today, now only I'll do it." I said, laughing.
"What do you mean?" She asked.
"Hyun-ae. Your still a kid. You'll get to k ow everything tomorrow. So, you've gotta wait for the suspense. Come on Lisa. Let's go." I said and went with Lisa.
"Y/n. What are you going to do?" Lisa asked, eagerly.
"Wait and watch!" I said and got stopped by someone, who stood in front of me.
"Sorry!" I said and looked up to see.
"Hey, jungkook. What are you doing here?" I asked.
"We are practicing at that room." He replied, with a bunny smile.
"Do you wanna join?" He asked.
"N-no. Probably, I shouldn't be troubling you guys." I said.
"Y/n. You are not a trouble. You are part of group now and so is your friend." He said and pulled my hand while I pulled Lisa's and we all went upstairs.
"Hey guys. Look whose here?" Jungkook said, giving us way to come in.
All looked shocked and happy seeing me and Lisa enter.
"Y/n. What a surprise." Hoseok said coming front.
"Hey. Why not you say how we dance. Cause you dance really well." Taehyung said.
I had no other option, but to say yes.
"Sure!" I said and grabbed Lisa's hand and sat at bench there.
I saw yoongi holding a mic. While some others too did. I was confused. Anyway, I was here to see their dance. So it doesn't matter I said and saw their dance.
They played some music, which I've never heard before. They sounded good though.
But those voices were familiar. I looked at their dance and heard the music carefully. It sounded like the boy's voices. And when a particular person's voice was heard, he would come to the front.
I was confused. I asked Lisa,"Why do they match with the songs? Like, I mean, I've never heard a song like this. And these voices are familiar to them." I asked her, with so much interest.
She laughed at first and then said,"Pabo! They also sing. These songs that they dance to, are the songs that they sang."
My eyes widened. Their dance finished at that time.
"Y/n. Something wrong?" Jungkook asked.
"These songs....they're so mesmerising." I said.
"Really?" Namjoon asked.
"Heck, yeah." I replied.
"These songs were sung by us." Jin said.
"You guys sang these?" I asked.
"Yeah! Any problem in that. Don't you have any other job?" Jimin asked.
"Excuse me. I'm not talking to you." I said and looked at the members.
"Then why not, put it on any social media?" I asked.
"We don't need to reply to all your questions. So just mind you business and let us do ours." Jimin, interrupted.
"Again. I'm not talking to you nor asking you any advice. So better you mind your own business." I said.
He approached to me angrily and banged me to the wall, where I was standing.
"What do you want? What did I even do to you?" He said angrily.
"Leave me!"
"Until you give me an answer, I'll not leave you alone. I've seen you from day one." He said
"Jimin, we talk about this. Leave her now." Namjoon said.
He left me.
"Y/n, Lisa. I think it's better for you guys to go home now. And sorry for the issue.."
"It's okay. I'm fine." I said and left with Lisa.
I was surprised and shocked of why Jimin did. I didn't do anything wrong. Why does he behave this way? Is there something wrong? Maybe I should ask his members. I was into so much thought that I couldn't hear that Lisa was calling me.
"Hey, everything ok?" She asked.
I nodded my head.
"Okay. See you tomorrow." I said and ran to home.
I took a shower, as usual and wore my pyjamas.
I started thinking what was the reason for Jimin to be like this. If it's something bad in his past, I've got to change myself.
I thought and thought how to ask his members. But all I got was sleep.
I slept like a log, which was lying there for more than 20 years.
