Chapter 6: The plan - execution
A new day, new start. I was really excited today. Today is the day, finally. I got ready and left to school. On my way, I saw jungkook.
"Hey, jungkook!" I said.
He turned back and waved at me. "Hi."
"I have something to ask you." I asked.
"What is it? Is everything okay?" He asked, worried.
"Nothing. There's something I need to know."
"Okay."
"And also bring Jin oppa and Namjoon oppa. Only you three and no one else should know about it. Please." I said.
"Okay sure. But can I know what it is about??" He asked.
"You're coming right. You'll get to know then." I smiled and said.
"Ah, Jinjja! Okay." He said and we both walked together and talked.
I saw Lisa on the way and asked jungkook to wait for a bit. I went to Lisa and surprised her. She was frightened first and then asked,"what is it girl?"
"I need your help. I want you to choose 5 girls, who are good at dance." I said.
"But why?"
"I'll tell you later and bring them to the dance practice, today. Okay?" I asked.
"Okay, but..." before she could say anything I went back to jungkook.
We both reached the class and sat in our desks.
"Jungkook-ah. Where did you go? We were waiting for you. You didn't come back so we came." Taehyung said, looking at me.
"I saw y/n. She was alone, so thought to give her company." He said and saw me.
Jimin was staring at jungkook and me with death stare.
"Class! Take out your books now. We'll be doing this chapter." The teacher said.
"Shit! I forgot my book." I said softly.
"You can share with me!" I heard a voice. I turned and saw jungkook sitting next to me.
"Thank you." I said with a smile.
"It's okay." He said.
"It's all fake." I heard a voice, even though it was in a low voice. Even though I knew who it was, I didn't want to turn and create a scene. I just let it go.
"Thank god you sat here." I said to jungkook in a low voice.
"Why?" He asked.
"I don't like that friend of yours. He's so grumpy." I said.
He giggled and said,"you'll get used to it."
"What else should I do. No other option." I said and we both giggled.
"Yah. What are you laughing without me?" Taehyung said pouting.
"Nothing. I'll tell you later." I said giggling.
"Okay. But you have to tell." He said.
"Okay. Sure." I said and turned front.
*bell rings
It was lunch break. Me and Lisa went to the washroom.
"Dude. Looks like you became close with them." She asked smirking.
"Yeah. They're caring and fun. You were right actually." I said.
"Looks like you'll make out with one." She said.
"Stop it! They're just my friends. And stop imagining things." I said and left the washroom hurriedly.
She came running behind me. I went to the class quickly and sat in my seat. The others had come also.
Lisa came in later, catching her breath.
"Are you alright?" Jin asked.
"Yeah." She replied and sat next to Namjoon oppa.
Jungkook and Taehyung sat next to me.
We had a great lunch time and a lot of fun. I could see Jimin's face, he didn't like it that much. But I didn't care.
*bell rings
It was the last period. It was a free period. I asked Lisa if she got those girls. She nodded her head and brought them.
"Okay. You guys were part of the cheerleader group. Right?" I asked them.
"Yes!" They replied.
"Why did you guys quit, suddenly?" I asked.
They all looked down but one girl stood up and said,"we didn't quit. We were made to quit."
"What?" Lisa asked in shock.
"Yeah we were made to quit." Another girl said.
"By whom?" I asked out of curiosity.
They hesitated. "Come on tell me. I won't tell them. I'm here to help you guys." I said.
"By Hyun-ae." A girl said.
"I knew it. Okay, but why?" I asked.
"She blackmailed us. She used us for and blackmailed us that if we don't leave the group she'll tell everything." Another girl said.
"For what was she blackmailing?" Lisa asked.
"She asked us to get information about a few guys. And she asked us to collect their pros and cons. Then she told us that if we don't leave, she'll tell everyone that we collected info on these guys and..." she said.
"Okay. I'm sorry. I understand. Okay, you guys have a chance now." I said.
They looked at me surprised.
"What??" A girl asked.
"Yeah. Just answer my question. Would you like to be in the group back, again?" I asked.
They looked a bit off. "Don't think about the people part of it. Think from your heart. Do you want to, as a dancer, join back in the group?" I asked.
Lisa looked shocked at me. So we're the others.
"Yes. I would want to." A girl said.
"Me too!"
"Yeah."
"Me also."
They all said.
"Okay. After this period, we have practice. I would want you guys to come. No buts or skipping it. You all are coming. See you at practice." I said and left with Lisa.
"What are you going to do?" Lisa asked.
"Just wait and watch."
'Hyun-ae. It's my time now.'
*bell rings
Finally, the time I have been waiting for has come. I went a bit slow. I waited for all the girls to come.
They came after 5 mins.
"Are you guys ready?" I asked.
"Kinda." They said.
"Come on guys. You can do this. You guys are scared what if she tells everything. Let her tell. If she tells prove them wrong that she was the one who told us to do it. I'm here to help you guys. So, get all that strength and come in."
After I said, the girls looked like they've got a new strength inside them.
"Yes. We'll come." They said.
"That's the spirit." I said and leaded the way.
We headed towards the room. The others had come already and started their practice.
"Y/n, why are you late?" The teacher asked.
"Sir, I've got some girls for the group." I said and asked them to come in.
"Ahhh. You guys. At last, you guys have come back." The teacher said, surprised.
"You guys can start practice today or tomorrow. I have some work, so the leaders will look after." The teacher said and left.
I looked at Jimin, who looked very terrifying. I shifted my gaze towards Hyun-ae. As expected, she gave me death glares.
"Girls, you can start practice tomorrow. For now, you can take rest." I said and they sat down.
I went to practice with the guys. And the girls did their.
*after sometime
It was break time. I was talking to Taehyung and hoseok oppa.
I saw Hyun-ae approach the girls. I was waiting to see what she was doing.
She was talking with them. "I'll come back in a sec." I said and left without looking at them.
I went there casually. "Hey girls." I said.
"Yeah. We're fine." A girl said.
"But it doesn't look like that." I said looking at Hyun-ae.
"Hey, what do you even want?" Hyun-ae asked.
"Nothing. In fact, what is your problem?" I asked.
"You!" She said loud enough. Everyone in the room turned their attention towards us.
"Chill girl. Get some ice for this fire." I said, sarcastically.
"Y/n, seriously. You are so fun." A girl said.
"Really? Thanks a lot." I said.
"Just shut up." She said.
"Woah. Stop there. You're dealing with my friends here." I said.
"Oh really? These are your friends. You don't even know what they did. You're here talking for them." She said and laughed.
"Sorry. But I know everything about it. And I also know what you did. So just behave yourself and stop these things. I ask you kindly. Or else you'll face the consequences." I said and went downstairs.
"Stop there." She said and came forward.
I didn't stop and walked off. But she pulled me back.
"I said stop." She said.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I couldn't hear you." I said and left back.
"Guys, can we start practice?" I headed front and asked them.
"Yeah, sure. If you're ready." Jin oppa said.
"Yeah. I'm ready." I said.
"But it doesn't look like you are." Jungkook said.
I was confused. I turned back and saw Hyun-ae standing there.
"You guys start, I'll come." I said.
"It's okay. We'll wait for you." Hoseok said.
She approached me and said,"So you know everything. And I can tell everyone about it."
"Tell. Who cares. They are just words, but not their true self. Tell. I'll prove it wrong." I said.
The others looked shocked.
She held on my shirt and said,"Really? We'll see."
I took her hand off my shirt and held her jacket and said,"You don't have the strength to tell. Even if you tell, it'll come back to you." I said, still holding her jacket.
"So instead of wasting your time here, better start practicing." I said and left.
We started our practice. Hyun-ae looked pissed. She went and sat down while the others practiced.
*after some time
The practice was over. I was with jungkook and Taehyung, discussing about tomorrow's practice.
We left the campus. But suddenly, I got pulled back. I was surprised. So were they.
I couldn't see the person properly as I had closed my eyes.
After sometime, I felt someone's hand around me and heard Taehyung's and jungkook's voice say,"Just stop it!"
I opened my eyes quickly.
I saw Hyun-ae In front of me. Taehyung and jungkook had their hands around me. I was shocked at first.
"Anything wrong?" I asked.
"Nothing. She just..." before jungkook said anything further, I said,"come on. Tell me the truth."
"She came to slap you. Kookie stopped her." Taehyung said.
"Good boy." I said, pinching his cheeks.
"Now. Back to you. I've given you more than three warnings. You haven't saved up to it. So you gotta face the consequences. You'll see me play tomorrow." I said and left with the guys.
"Thank you." I said , looking at them.
"For what?" They asked.
"For stopping her."
"Seriously? You've done a lot than this." Taehyung said.
We giggled.
We left to our houses.
*after an hour
I wanted to know the problem with Jimin. So I called jungkook.
Y/n: hey jungkook!
Jk: hi.
Y/n: about the thing I told in the morning.
Jk: yeah. About that. When do want to see us?
Y/n: I'm free now. So can we meet at the cafe behind the supermarket, near the school?
Jk: yeah okay. We'll leave now.
Y/n: and make sure not to tell anyone the exact location and about this.
Jk: okay sure. I'll bring Namjoon hyung and Jin hyung.
Y/n: thanks a lot.
Jk: k bye. See ya!
Y/n: bye!
*end of call
At last. I need to try and change myself according to it.
But will they be ready to tell me?
It doesn't matter. If they refuse, just beg them. No other choice.
I got ready, and told my grandma that I'll be out for sometime.
I walked and reached the cafe and waited for them to come.
