Chapter 46: The Plan Has Begun...
Shinji was making his way back to his class's tent, only before he arrived, he was approached by someone he didn't meet with since the first day of school. That was Miyabi Nagumo, the current vice-president of the student council, and a student in class 2-A.
"Ayanokoji-Kun! Remember me? We met on the first day!" said Miyabi as he approached Shinji
"Of course I remember, Nagumo-Senpai. Is there anything you need? Officially, we're in rival teams, you know?"
"Don't worry, I just wanted to say that I'm very impressed by your performance so far in the competitions. I also heard that you have perfect scores in every test you've taken, and you started in class D. I wanted to tell you that I think that you have great potential, and I want to offer you something"
"What is it?"
"After the sports festival, I'll officially become the student council president. When I do, I would like you to join the student council. Someone with your abilities can help us a lot in the student council" Miyabi said, and Shinji couldn't help but smirk inwardly
"I did recently approached Horikita-Senpai, with the request to join the council. He said that he'll think about it, but he never answered me. Not yet, at least"
"I see. Then, come tomorrow to the student council office, as tomorrow is my first day as the new president, and I'll get you in"
"Thanks! Then, I'll see you tomorrow, Senpai!" Shinji said, waved to Miyabi, and started to walk away, to his class's tent, while he was thinking:
'You're going to be very surprised tomorrow, Nagumo-Senpai. I wonder what kind of expression you'll show me... I look forward to seeing it...'
Then, he arrived at his class's tent, and was greeted by his classmates, who had a lot to say to him:
"How did you do that???" asked Chiaki
"That was like, so cool!" said Maya
"You're crazy!!" said Kanji
"Why didn't you do it during the training sessions?" asked Akito, and a lot of other students asked him a bunch of different questions until Yosuke stood in front of Shinji, and then turned to the rest of the class, saying:
"Alright, everyone! Give him some space! I know you have a lot of questions, but Shinji-Kun has to rest, so he can continue to participate in the rest of the competitions!" he said, and they relaxed a little, and let Shinji sit on one of the chairs. Haruki, who since the special test on the ship, became some kind of a lackey of Shinji, gave him a bottle of water, which Shinji gladly received.
After a few seconds, in which his classmates were waiting to speak with him, Shinji finally said:
"You can ask me what you want, but please do it in turns"
The first to ask was Satsuki, who asked him:
"How did you do it?"
"Well, if you're asking about that last move, I did it with my legs!" Shinji said a wide grin
Satsuki simply glared at him, and then Shinji said:
"Fine, fine. If you're asking seriously, then the answer is that I learned to do it. Someone who I know taught me how to do it"
"Then, why didn't you do it during the training sessions?" asked Teruhiko
"That's because I wanted to keep it a secret. While we are in an alliance with class B, there could be only one class in the first place within our year, so I hid my full capabilities during the training sessions, to keep an edge over class B. The fact that I'm now participating in all of the competitions is emphasizing my full capabilities even more"
"But now that you're using your full capabilities, it's even more tiring, isn't it? Are you sure you're going to be okay?"
"I already told you guys that there are no problems. There is no need to worry so much. Anyway, I think that it's enough questions for now. You guys also need to rest, because the team competitions will start soon" Shinji said and stood up
"Where are you going?" asked Kei as she saw him going towards the exit of the tent.
"To the bathroom. Can't afford anything else to hinder me during the competitions" Shinji said and walked out of the tent. However, he wasn't going to the bathroom, but he was going to a place with no people, where he waited for someone to show up. Eventually, the person who he waited for has arrived, revealing herself to be Shiho.
"So? How's the mood at your class's tent?" asked Shinji
"Not good, especially after the students didn't succeed in defeating you at the cavalry fight, and speaking on it, how the fuck did you do that thing!?"
"It doesn't matter now. You know what your suppose to do now?"
"Yes. I'll discretely start to blame Ryuen, about how he abandoned us, and how because of his stupid plan, we're going to lose yet another special test. I'll spread the doubt discretely, while Ibuki will spread it openly"
"Good. Make sure to plant enough doubt, so when the time will come, me and Shiina will be able to do our parts"
"I know that. It's not like I have any choice anyway since you're blackmailing me"
"I don't see it as blackmail. It's more like a deal. I promise to not hurt your mother, and in return, you help me take down Ryuen. After Ryuen's rule will end, our deal will be over, and you won't have to listen to me, and your mother will be safe. There is also a bonus for you, as you, together with Shiina and Ibuki, replace Ryuen as the leaders of your class"
"Whatever. You better fulfill your promise, or I'll tell everything to the police!"
'It's not like you have any evidence though...' thought Shinji
"Don't worry. I am a man of his words. If I promise something, I'm keeping that promise. I won't get close to your mother after Ryuen's rule end" he said while thinking:
'I won't get close to your mother, but I can always get close to your little sister... you are a fool if you think I'll let you out of my grasp that easily...' Shinji thought, as he looked at the back of Shiho, as she left...
