After the three of them walked out of the inn, they met the carriage sent by the surveillance bureau.

The driver of the carriage was a waiter wearing the uniform of the surveillance bureau. He was lying on the driver's seat, bored. His eyes were fixed on the inn's entrance. When he saw Kant and the other two, he took out the portraits in his arms and compared them.
