Chapter 3: Conflict
'That doctor will wake up anytime now' (Izuku)
He quickly sat back down on his chair. Doctor Ujiko started groaning, his eyes slowly opened. He slowly stood up. One of his hand holding his head.
"What happened?" (Dr.Ujiko)
"You fainted and your notebook started burning" (Izuku) taking a scared expression that didn't fit his face.
'The notebook and my hair burned, it must be a really powerful quirk. The boss will like this information' (Dr.Ujiko) What he didn't tell Izuku is that if his notebook and his hair burned, it meant it was a really powerful and versatile quirk. Izuku also didn't knew that even if he didn't pluck the doctor's hair, it would have burned anyway.
"Were you able to see what was written in the notebook before it started burning?" (Dr.Ujiko)
"Yeah, there was my name and my quirk" (Izuku)
"What's you quirk then?" (Dr.Ujiko)
'Time to find a fake name for my quirk' (Izuku)
"It was called…Nonya, it's the only thing I could read" (Izuku)
Izuku knew that by mixing truth and lies, he would be more believable.
'Smart kid, if I didn't know better about my own quirk I would have believed you.' (Dr.Ujiko)
"I will register your quirk as 'Nonya' if you find more about your quirk come back with your parents this time" (Dr.Ujiko)
Izuku then said goodbye and left the room with a somber expression.
'That man, he didn't insist for more information, it's not normal. He must know I have a powerful quirk. He will probably tell his boss or the government about it. In the worst case both. I need to become stronger quickly because if I use that quirk now I will immediately be everyone's target.' (Izuku)
After Izuku left the room, Dr.Ujiko called someone on the phone.
"Boss, I just saw a kid with a really powerful quirk." (Dr.Ujiko)
"What's his quirk?" (???)
"I don't know my quirk couldn't identify it, the kid doesn't seems to be an hero fanboy" (Dr.Ujiko)
"Interesting, we will not take care of him right now, let's have the government search for his quirk. When we have enough information we will act, if he doesn't join us then I will use more radical methods" (???)
"What about my job boss, do I continue or do I resign?" (Dr.Ujiko)
"Keep doing this job, just forget Shigaraki's information and continue spotting useful quirk" (bet you guessed who he is now)
"Okay, boss". (Dr.Ujiko)
He hanged up and registered Izuku's quirk in the system, he added that his quirk was really powerful and he had no information on it. He also added Izuku lack of will to cooperate. If Izuku's little nights escapades were not enough to paint a target on his back, now he added a huge one.
When Izuku reached the waiting room, his expression was back to neutral. Before he could reach his parents, the kids that were still here came crowding around him once again.
"You didn't answer previously, what's your name?" (random 1)
"You know your quirk now?" (random 2)
"Is your quirk better than my diamond head quirk?" (death seeker) he then putted his hand on Izuku's shoulder.
'R.I.P kid' (Hisashi)
"Don't touch h…" (Inko)
Izuku slowly putted his hand on the kids head and looked in his eyes. "You ga…" (death seeker) before he could finish his sentence, his head was bashed so hard in the ground that the room shook. For the first time in history, floor tile broke diamond. Everyone was too shocked to react, and that allowed Izuku to leave the room with the sound of a crying kid as background music. Inko and Hisashi followed him after apologizing to the kid's parents.
"What's on your mind little devil? Do you want to talk about it?" (Hisashi)
"Hisashi don't ask him like that, maybe he is quirkless and don't want to talk about it" (Inko)
"Do you really think that he would care about not having a quirk?" (Hisashi)
"…you are right" (Inko)
"Once again I'm asking, What's on your mind?" (Hisashi)
"Nothing…" (Izuku)
"You have a powerful quirk don't you?" (Hisashi)
"Yeah" (Izuku)
"That's really troublesome, what a drag" (Hisashi)
Izuku then explained everything that happened with Dr.Ujiko keeping his actions to himself. Hisashi realized that. He knew his son well and trusted him. But it was not the same with Inko, she believed he was violating the law and becoming a villain, the fact that he broke a kid's face 5 minutes ago didn't help.
"You need to get registered properly young man, I will not let you do any illegal activities while you live under my roof" (Inko)
"I will not do it" (Izuku)
"I will do it then" (Inko)
"I can't have you doing that, I will have to bite you to death right here" (Izuku)
Hisashi was shocked for the first time since he was born, it was the first time Izuku threatened Inko and with the look his son had in his eyes, he knew if she tried, she would pay the price for that.
'Something is not right, he must have kept an important information. Let's starts thinking, Izuku values his freedom more than anything, the only way for his freedom to be restrained is to have a really powerful quirk. It can't be only that, if it was only that he would have beaten the doctor till he forgets everything. That doctor…he must be a villain so he thinks that not only the government will come after him but the villain too.' (Hisashi)
"You are menacing me? Your own mother" (Inko)
"I'm not threatening anyone just stating facts. If your actions threaten me or this family, I will not hesitate to bite you to death right now." (Izuku)
"Both of you stop!!! Izuku I don't know if you took the right decision but I trust you son. You never did anything to endanger us but please don't threaten your mother." (Hisashi)
"Hisashi, he is threatening me right now, we can't close the case like that. If we do nothing he will end up being a villain" (Inko)
"No he will not, he loves discipline and the notion of justice" (Hisashi)
"Why does he hate heroes then? Why are all of his actions vicious and brutal?" (Inko)
"Cause since when do you need to get paid to help people. Their job doesn't need to get paid. People are unable to understand words so I will strike fear in them since its universal." (Izuku)
"Don't talk about things you don't understand, they risk their lives. They keep us safe" (Inko)
"That's false and you know it! Do you know who keeps villains out of our neighborhood during the night, it's me. I don't see this so called heroes during the night but I see a lot of villains though. (Izuku)
"So you are doing vigilante's work, you know that's illegal, right?" (Inko)
"I don't use a quirk, remember?" (Izuku)
"You are 4 years old Izuku you shouldn't do that" (Inko)
"It's not that I shouldn't do that, but I shouldn't have to do that, if your so called heroes did their job" (Izuku)
"He is right" (Hisashi)
"Heroes are there in the night, they protect us in the shadow. One day they will arrest you for vigilantism. Heroes are always there to help" (Inko)
'Are you the kid here or is he?' (Hisashi)
"I didn't see any heroes when 'Vulture' was attacking the city, his quirk allowed him to bend metal, I only saw dad protecting people and he was in an elemental disadvantage, in the end he was fined for vigilantism. Where were heroes when Mustafu's orphanage went in flame? They were waiting in front of it doing nothing. Where were the heroes when Rock Lee died? " (Izuku)
"…" (Inko)
'Rock Lee's death was horrifying…wait a minute…' (Hisashi)
"Were you there when he died?" (Hisashi)
"Oh my god…Please Izuku tell me you didn't see anything" (Inko)
"I only saw the aftermath… I understood that those who stand at the top determine what's wrong and what's right. I won't be a fool like those children that dream about being heroes because, hard work betrays none, but dreams betray many." (Izuku)
Inko then hugged Izuku. 'No more, I will not lose any other herbivores. I will get stronger and no one will dare to stand in my way. I will do it without using my quirk…just like you Lee, I will show the world that quirkless people are not weak, and when that statement is made, I will use it.' (Izuku)
"You should have told us about it. We could have helped you" (Hisashi)
"He is right Izuku" (Inko)
"Then teach me how to fight properly old man. I'm fine on the psychological side, I know it's weird for a four years old to be accustomed to that. You cannot restrain me with logic nor define me" (Izuku)
'The Hibari clan's bloodline is really strong in that kid. I will have to talk to him about our clan' (Hisashi)
"I will son, I promise you when we get back home, we will start your training. But no matter how talented you are, you cannot change the world alone" (Hisashi)
It was these simple words that led to the creation of the strongest and weirdest team. The one that would rule Mustafu and maybe one day, more.
