Chapter 16: I brought it up again.
Seeing such a great reaction, you were pleased. Sitting down on the couch, you go through the stuff you brought as you speak "Shocked, right? *Sigh* I was surprised too."
Jeongyeon hastily sits on the couch and stares at you "Y/N, Tell me what exactly happened after you got fired. Y-You never told me about Madam Kim. Now, you suddenly became employee of her son's company?"
You ignore her and keep looking for something in the bag.
"Miss Bae Y/N! Care to explain to me, I am about to go insane here." Jeongyeon waved the I'D card in front of you.
*Click*
Hearing the sound, Jeongyeon pursed her lips "Even the rice is cooked. Let's just have dinner. I thought we were close enough to share secrets. It's okay, you don't have to-"
Just then she heard you shouting "Found it!!"
"Found what?"
You showed her two cans of beer. "Let's have some talk."

"What? She gave you a special card for the job because you helped her get her purse? I can't believe it's so easy for rich people." Jeongyeon spoke as she opened another can of beer.
You nod your head in response and chug the remaining drink down.
"But, Thinking that the people working there, had worked their a** off to get the job, kinda sets me off. I promise I will work hard in future. Still, Am I being selfish? Should I have not accepted that card?"
Jeongyeon looks at you, grabs your hand "No, You did the correct thing. Y/N, You might not know, but you are an amazing person. I have seen you struggle and seen you working harder than others. You told me you got fired a lot of times before working in Mingles, right? You are strong enough to stand up again after defeat.."
She continues "Y/N, You are not self-centered. The world is like that. If you see an opportunity, you should grasp it before you regret for lifetime. You will always have a chance to improve later. And do you really believe you got this because of that mere card?"
"Hmm?" You give her confused glance.
*Chuckle*
She came near you as she began to whisper "I heard from somewhere that even though the CEO of Kim Enterprises is handsome, he is extremely cold-hearted, ruthless, vicious boss. Each and every employee should go through his secretary who is another version of him. They are very strict in choosing the employees."
"Ruthless? cold-hearted? Secretary is another version of him? Very Strict?" You mumble her words as memories of today's events surfaces your mind. 'Why I feel the truth is quite opposite?'
Jeongyeon continued with her whispering "Yeah, so they may already know that you are qualified for working there as you have graduated from quite renowned university. You don't have to worry much. I believe in you *Hicc*Y/N…you can…can do this! Zzz Zzz…" just like that she fell asleep.
You ruffle your hair, saying "Well I nearly forgot that I have already graduated university two years ago. Time really flies fast. *Looks up* I hope you are doing great there."
Then, you carry Jeongyeon to her bedroom, place her on her bed, and cover her before turning around to leave. However, you hear her mumbling in her sleep that makes you giggle.
"Is it really hard for you to open up? You still haven't told me about the secret…the one that makes you all sad and anxious time and time again. I want to be your true friend whom you can rely on. Y/N, I want you to tell me..tell me..Zzz"
You stare at her for a while before leaving.
"Sorry Jeongyeon, I am just a bad friend."

"Ughh!! My head hurts." Grabbing her head, Jeongyeon leaves her bed.
"How much I drank that I am having such a bad headache?" She mumbled.
"Oh, you woke up. Good, come here. I made some hangover soup and breakfast for you." You said as you take off the kitchen apron.
Looking around she realized that you have cleaned everything and made her favorite pancake for breakfast, she gives you puppy eyes "Thank you, Y/N. My house looks even cleaner than before." Then, she sits down and begins to drink the soup.
"Don't thank me. This is the least I can do for you. Now, that I have done everything, I am leaving. I need to go home and change for my job. Today is my first day. Pray for me Hehe" You begin to put your stuffs in your bag.
Just then, you hear Jeongyeon coughing. Turning around, you see her face was flushed red. Giving her water, you hit her back firmly "Slow down. Why are you suddenly choking on your soup?"
"*Cough* Y/N, I am sorry. I brought it up again yesterday, your past. I am such a foolish. Please forgive me."
