Chapter 29: Trouble follows Y/N!
"All Done." You let out a content sigh.
Then, your eyes move from your dish to the clock. 'Oh no! I didn't notice the time. It's nearly time for my boss to leave the office. I should hastily leave before he arrives.'
Taking off the apron, You make your way to the Head Chef.
"Sir, I have done part of my work. Now, I would like to take leave. Thank you for your guidance." You bow as a form of gratitude.
"You are leaving? Aren't you going to attend the party?" He was stunned.
She seemed someone important to Madam Kim, so there could be no way Madam Kim didn't invite her to her son's birthday party.
Looking through his line of thoughts, You awkwardly chuckle "A-Actually, I have something very very urgent at home. Unfortunately, I can't attend the party. Please do enjoy it. Have a great night.*Bow*"
'Y/N, Leave fast before he asks anythiasks'
You hastily rush towards the door to open it, not knowing there was someone at the door holding a bowl of tomato paste also making their way inside.
*Splash*
*Gasp* Both of you let out a gasp in surprise.
"What happened?" The head chef ran, hearing the loud sound of the bowl dropping on the floor.
*Drip Drip*
"Oh no, I am so sorry. Oh my, It's all over your dress." The female chef apologized seeing the mess in your dress.
"I-It's okay. It was my fault, I was rushing outside and didn't see you." You flash a bittersweet smile.
'Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! My dress, Lord It's gonna leave a f*cking stain. I am gonna cry. It was an expensive one. I shouldn't have hurried.'
You try to take the paste out of the clothes with a bunch of tissues.
"You should go wash it before the stain darkens."
"Yeah, I think I should-"
You were about to reply when you heard Madam Kim talking.
"Oh, You came home earlier than I expected, Son."
'Son? Son?!! Sh*t, Why now?'
You start to panic, leaving the tissues behind, you rush towards the back door leaving the chefs stunned.
"I should leave before he sees-"
"Mom, I have some work left, thereafter I will wear whatever you want me to, okay?"
"Then, why did you come back early if you are going to work at home?"
You hear Jin's and Madam Kim's voices resounding throughout the hallway.
'Sh*t!, Hide! Hide!' You pace back and forth trying to find a hiding spot.
You see a cabinet and open it. There were cleaning tools and mops placed inside.
Their voices became closer and closer, Not having any choice, You just go inside the cabinet.
Feeling extremely uncomfortable and cramped, You just hold your breath so as not to accidentally open it.
You peek from a gap in the door, eventually seeing the duo.
"Mom, the documents are here, so I came early. I promise I will do whatever you want me to, as soon as it completes, okay?" Jin tries to persuade her.
"Okay, Fine. I will leave you alone, but I won't let you overwork on your birthday. I will come knocking on the door soon." Madam Kim responded with a sigh.
After a light hug, they started walking in opposite directions.
Seeing that, You heave a huge sigh of relief.
Just when you thought no one was there and was about to open the door, You hear a series of rushed footsteps.
'Augh! Who is it this time?'
You stay still, your back starting to ache from all the cramped area.
"How can I forget to give him this? He is gonna chew me out."
'Sir?'
Peeking outside, You see Lee Hyun rushing towards Jin's room.
You wait for him to leave, when..
*Thud*
'Ow. Why does this mop have to fall in my head all this time? I hope he doesn't notice-'
*Step Step*
Lee Hyun approaches the cabinet with a knitted brow.
What would happen if he sees his junior who left early for emergency purposes, end up in the CEO's mansion's hallway cabinet with red sauce all over her dress, cramped up with mops and brooms?
It sounds so crazy and hilarious. You wanted to laugh but seeing the miserable situation, crying would be the ultimate thing.
'No..please, Just go away, Sir. Dad, help me.'
You reach out your hand to your neck but feel nothing. 'Huh? Where is my pendent?'
You frown at the thought..at the same time:
"Mr Secretary Kim, Madam is looking for you."
"Oh okay. I will after I give this file to Boss."
Leaving his curiosity about what made the noise behind, he started rushing to Jin's room. After hastily passing the file, he went back to madam Kim while you stayed hidden in the cabinet.
'Think..Think..Where did I put the pendant? How can I be so careless about it? It must be in my bag. But, Where is my bag? I left it in the kitchen. Dammit, I have to go back again.'
Taking a deep breath, you eventually open the door, confirming no one was around, you rush back to the kitchen

Before you enter, you take a glimpse inside the kitchen.
You see everyone busy working by themselves.
'Good, They are not here.'
Confirming one last time, you head inside.
"Oh, Miss Bae? I thought you went home?" The head chef asked to see you appear abruptly.
"You know, this thing here *points to the spoiled outfit* I went to wash this thing off..haha..but it didn't come out..haha." You try to make an excuse while your eyes roam toward the table.
'There it is!' You see your bag on the table near the door.
He shook his head in pity looking at you awkwardly chuckling. 'She must be feeling embarrassed.'
He replied "Oh, is it? Then, I guess you must hurry home and wash it properly."
"Yeah, I am about to. Let me just grab my bag from there." You quickly walk to the table where your bag was, before picking it up.
"Haha..Then, I will get going.*Bow* Goodbye.*Bow."
You keep bowing before you reach out for the door and open it with a smirk thinking: 'Mission successful'
Until…
"Miss Bae?"
"Y/N, What happened to your dress?"
'Sh*t, I opened the wrong door.'
