Chapter 27: Sleeping on Ji yun’s shoulder

Next day Ji yun woke up a little tired . She fell asleep overthinking and too late . She was really embarrassed what happened yesterday but reminding herself to forget it and start anew helped her calm down .

Following the usual routine she made the breakfast. Only thing that was different was that Heyeon jun didn't step downstairs yet . She would take a look at the stairs from time to time . She checked the time , it was 8 am already. She decided to head in her room and get changed .

When she came out she still didn't see him . It was almost the time to leave .

She hesitated before dialing his number. She waited but the call was answered after a few rings . She heard his sleepy voice ,"I am not feeling well today , I am not going to office today ." Ji yun's body stiffened listening to his hoarse yet sexy voice . She gulped as she replied ,"Oh ok ,you want me to bring breakfast upstairs?!"

Heyeon jun's reply finally came ,"Umm , I will come downstairs after some time."

Ji yun ended the call as she thought,"Did he catch cold ? But he didn't go out yesterday."

She dialed Mr.Min's number and asked him to deliver the needed files .

Ji yun sighed, she picked up her bag and hesitated before heading to his study . She didn't see him yet and didn't know why she felt something was off .

Heyeon jun didn't sleep whole night as he indulged himself in work to forget what happened before . He stayed up all night and slept just when the his alarm rang .

His sleep was again disturbed by the phone call he received from Ji yun . He sighed and didn't feel comfortable enough to sleep again so he decided to pick her call .

He denied her idea of bringing the food upstairs because he had decided to distance himself from her . He walked to the bathroom and quickly took a shower before wearing something casual . He was still a little sleepy but he was used to give it up .

Ji yun set her files on the table and decided to make the final decision. After she was done , she decided to ask Heyeon jun about the doubts she had . After that she received the call from Mr.Min that he had asked someone to deliver and that particular person was standing in front of gates.

She hurriedly headed downstairs and almost bumped into Heyeon jun .

She gasped because she was running in heels but didn't fall . Heyeon jun frowned and looked back at her and commented,"why the fuck are you always running around ?!" She sighed . Still a little surprised. Heyeon jun then asked further ,"What were you doing upstairs?"

His voice a little too chilly and cold . Ji yun smiled awkwardly and ,"Nothing just was keeping files in study."

Heyeon jun didn't reply and silently stepped off the stairs . Ji yun hurried out and received the files and thanked the employee who was almost shocked seeing her smile a little . Ji yun herself didn't notice she was polite just now .

She headed back inside . She saw Heyeon jun making coffee for himself. She didn't know why she didn't feel good about this all . She kept the files on table and walked in the kitchen . She lazily said,"I'd serve your breakfast..:"

Heyeon jun cut her off ,"I don't feel like eating." Ji yun frowned. She didn't wanted to pressure him but couldn't help and say ,"Just eat a little bit , you will feel better . Want me to make porridge?"

Heyeon jun sighed and looked at her strangely . She acted just like an old aunt . She was so serious. He shooed such thoughts away and said in a slightly raised voice ,"I-said-I don't - feel like eating ."

Pressuring each word loudly .

Ji yun nodded feeing slightly hurt . She kept the left food in the fridge and prepared another cup of coffee for herself. She didn't why but his words did hurt a little a bit . Her feelings were in a mess since last night .

He felt different from everyone she had met . There was indeed something different about him and that hit her the first time she met him . Her memories even from the hospital were still vivid .

She blinked blankly staring at her cup of coffee . Ji yun get him out of your mind !!! He is not an "oppa" you want , just a fucking businesss devil . Remember that !

Heyeon jun noticed the blank look but ignored her completely. Ji yun placed her coffee on her hand accidentally as she was dazed . She didn't hiss but just casully look at her hand . Which wasn't burned much .

[her hand was placed on kitchen counter duh!]

Ji yun was sitting in his study as she did her work . She was pretty focused on her work . She didn't notice that Heyeon jun was a little weak and sleepy .

He was sitting on the couch and she was sitting on the small chair and still going through the files .

Heyeon jun was having a headache now . But he won't complain. Ji yun shifted right next to him causually and said ,"Umm , can you clear me that on what basis should i make a judgement in this section ?"

Heyeon jun Lazily took the file from her hand and started explaining her what she asked . Ji yun nodded as she understood and continued her work and she made some scribbly notes on notepad.

Heyeon jun was just looking at her work and inhaled the sweet smell of rose coming from her . Her scent was comforting and soothing . It really was making him relaxed . His eyes dropped as he was lazily staring at her file . Soon he rested his head on her shoulder as he closed his eyes .

Ji yun was busy in her work when she felt some weight on her shoulder. Ji yun looked at it and was surprised to see heyeon jun resting his head on her shoulder like that . His eyes were closed as if he was really tired . Ji yun felt her heart skip a beat looking at him . He might be tired but did he not sleep last night !? He is never lazy.

Ji yun sighed and relaxed her body and rested her back on the couch . She thought it would be comfortable for him .

Ji yun did her work in a relaxed way causing the laziness transfer to herself . After and hour or so she also thought to take a quick nap . She closed her eyes and rested her arms over her stomach as she fell asleep just like that .

Time flew by quickly. Heyeon jun had the a nice and comforting sleep . He opened his eyes slowly and realized his head was resting on Ji yun's shoulder . He moved his face to look at her and saw her eyes closed as she was sleeping too .

His eyes moved down to her smooth skin and a mole right on her jawline . Then his eyes traveled to her collarbone visible from the two undid buttons of her shirt . He breathed in her scent and closed his eyes again . He thought for a moment and realized what he was doing . He felt her stir as if she woke up . He didn't open his eyes and relaxed his body . Still pretending to be asleep .

Ji yun opened her eyes and realized that she fell asleep . Ji yun checked the time , 3 pm. She sighed . She looked at Heyeon jun's realzed body and his head on her shoulder. She smiled slightly before using her hands to lightly lift his head and rest it on the back of couch relaxingly .

She sighed and left the study . Heyeon jun opened his eyes and looked at her leaving figure . Absolutely different from all ! Why did he sleep but it was the best sleep he had in a long time .

Ji yun decided to make some veggie omelette fry . She gulped at the thought. Its so yummy !! She started preparing for it . She had long ago replaced her heels with the slippers.

Heyeon jun headed downstairs after washing his face . He felt refreshing after the sleep . He entered the kitchen and saw Ji yun placing the egg fry on the plate . He was hungry . He picked it up in a swift mition and waves his hand at her saying ,"I need three servings."

Ji yun pouted , it was hers . She was also amused at this behavior. She chuckled as she indulged herself back in cooking .

Xia Ri was in her office when she received a text from Dong Heon . She ignored it for a few seconds but couldn't hold back so she quickly opened it . She blushed as she read the message ,"I want you to take on a dinner with my mon today . Can you please come ?"

This message really didn't sound like him . She thought for a moment before saying ,"Pick me up , but wait tell me time atleast."

Dong Heon on the other hand didn't expect her to respond so quickly. He read her reply . His lips curved in a smile as he noticed her clumsy and goofy nature can even be guessed from her text .

He sighed and replied,"7 pm , see you."

Assistant Yu cleared his throat as he noticed his boss texting someone in the middle of the meeting . Dong Heon stiffened his face and turned back to his normal self as he said ,"continue."

Heyeon jun's apartment.

Everything was normal and they were busy in their own work . Heyeon jun had already decided to finish the work and go back to sleep today . He had to manage his schedule . Hah!!

Ji yun had already decided and submitted her reports . She also paid a visit to office in the evening as she had to collect abd submit some files . She also went to sleep early . She avoided, the topic named ,"Xia Ri." Because her work was a little too much for her but she definitely had to make a decesion by the end of the day .
