Chapter 14: Spotted

{World A: Olivia Smith's world}

"Hey! Stop there!"

A man dressed in a black suit was seen trying to slip away from the hundreds of guards that were outside the big hall that the charity event was being held.

That was how they managed to assassinate Olivia. Harry had his men pretend to be a bodyguard and got access to the hall, while one of them slipped away and went to execute the plan.

Olivia never left her room and stepped outside her house without her well trained bodyguards following her around.

Her life has been wanted by her uncle since young. Even when she was in college, she had three guards shielding her.

She couldn't make friends, because they thought she was showing off her wealth. She was never alone for once, unless she was bathing or sleeping.

Once she stepped out of her room, she would be guarded.

When girls of her age were having day out and partying, she would be in a training field and learning how to defend herself.

Before the age of 18, she could use all types of guns and bring down a man twice her size in combat.

Her parents felt that it was their fault. They felt that they took her life away from her. They felt guilty, but Olivia never complained.

When they brought a new master to teach her new fighting skills, she would gladly learn.

That was the reason why they wanted to bond with Max's cooperation and let her marry him, because Max isn't as ordinary as he appeared to be.

He was known to be crazy when someone tried to hurt the people that he had claimed to be his person. He would ruin them without measure.

They didn't want to impose it on Olivia and just let things flow, because they knew how much her life became a mess, because he was born into the Smith's family.

Harry had also heard about Olivia's parents plans and wanted to prevent it, to avoid becoming an enemy with Max.

His plan succeeded before, but not after this second chance.

There was a mole below the assassin's left ear. Olivia's personal bodyguards had engaged in a fight with him once.

Olivia would have been killed, if she wasn't skilled herself, but she still got hurt that day.

It happened in a flash, as one of Olivia's guard merely turned his head sideways to survey the area and happened to see the mole, while retracting his gaze.

Which was why he screamed for the guy to stop.

Taking quick steps, the man kept walking away and tried to pretend as if he wasn't the one being asked to stop.

Olivia's guards were five in number and well trained. Immediately the other four heard that the guy that had once tried to kill Olivia was around, four of them followed after the guy, while one walked towards Olivia's parents guards to informed them to let Olivia's parents know that the place wasn't safe and they had to leave as soon as possible.

"Stop there!" The four guards increased their steps, while the man also did the same.

He had a black bag in his hand, which contained the sniper that was in a dismantled state. He had jet black hair, and was putting on a black shade like every other guards in the hall.

Seeing that they weren't giving up and coming closer to him, "I've been spotted." He spoke softly after pressing the Bluetooth device in his ear.

Olivia's guard were stunned when he suddenly stopped, but they were not idiots. They were already at alert and having their sharp sense sensitive to their surroundings.

The place was very spacious and decorated with beautiful flowers and had other unoccupied halls in the premise.

The hall the charity ball was being held, wasn't the only hall in the premises.

They pulled out their weapons and was prepared to strike. Each had their pistol pointed at the man, as they walked closer to where he stood.

They saw him tilted his neck and gaze at them from his shade, while his lips curled up into a sinister smirk.

He raised both his hands and dropped the bag in his hand, before turning around to face them.

Feeling a sense of danger from a certain direction, which happened to be one of the hall in the premises, in a swift movement, they directed their aim at the place and ducked to a side.

Series of gunshot followed, as someone started firing at them from the building, while they returned the favour.

One of them was quick and fired a shot at the man standing in front of them.

He believed that they were distracted and tried to sneak a shot, but before he brought out his gun, his intentions had been perceived.

He ducked the shot at the right time and made a double Summersault to close the distance between them.

The two engaged in a hot scrimmage, while the press that were being prevented from entering the hall saw the whole fight.

They recognized the guards to be Olivia Smith's guards and since this wasn't the first time that Olivia's life was targeted, they knew it was the same at this moment.

They also got into action immediately. They filmed the scene from a safe distance, while more guards from the Smith's joined the fight.
