Chapter 2: Chapter Two

They dragged me through the field and eventually threw me down beside a crowd of prisoners. They undid my bindings only to put chains around my wrists.

"We will be flying to the kingdom of Felis. If you cannot fly raise your hand now." The commander walked down the line with a calm expression. I could see blood dripping from the side of his mouth as he talked. The person in front of me raised there hand.

"My wing is broke" he said the pain obvious in in his voice. The commander nodded once and one of his men ran forward and swung his sword, cutting the mans head clean off. The blood splattered all across my face and across my clothes. I looked in horror and shock as the mans head rolled over to my feat and seemed to look up at me. Little did I know that the commander watched all of my stiff movements and noticed my wing swing limply.

"And you, can you fly?" His deep voice rang out asking me the question. My head snapped up and I stared at him. I looked at my wing and new instantly that it was dislocated, and from his cold expression I new if I said no then he would kill me himself.

"I can fly" and as I said this I reached around, grabbed the base of my wing and yanked up fast and hard. There was a loud pop sound and I gasped in pain. But the most important thing was that I could fly now, even if it hurt really bad, I could now move it freely.

Surprise flashed for an instant across the commanders eyes. He then nodded and turned as the body of the headless man was removed and thrown to the side. As we flew many more where killed and thrown to the side for either not being able to fly anymore or being to slow. So no matter how much it hurt me, I kept flying at a steady pace.

The person behind me, a teenage looking girl, started to fly slower. Tears flowed down her face. We where almost there the castle walls had grown huge as we flew closer finally coming to a land right before the girls wings gave out. They marched us threw the gates and towards the main palace. Civilians glared at us and threw objects of all sorts, but the soldiers ignored it as if nothing was happening.

I could feel dispare hit me as they drug us down stairs to a cold dungeon that reeked of mold and death. we where split in to groups one of males and one of females and we where thrown into cells.

"Why?....." the girl that had flown behind whispered as she fell to the ground crying.

"Its alright. what's your name little one." I asked gently

"Frost. Ironic right, I don't have a speck of grey or white on me only brown." she chuckled threw her tears.

"Ya. My name is Alpha. My parents were fascinated with our ancestors and thought a powerful meaningful name would give me success in life. Boy they were wrong." I laughed out helping her up and looking around. "I wonder how many of us are in this dungeon." I said my voice with no more humor in it.

" About three hundred and forty two." A male voice rose as the bars opened up. " Its time for interrogation and your first." The males voice said leading me out and further down the hall of the dungeon. The hall was a never ending round roof with torches every few cells. Most where full of my fellow comrades who where splayed around, most to weak to even raise there heads anymore.

I was led into a small room with a table and wooden chair. the door slammed as the guard left me. The commander of the army we had just fought sat in the other chair. Glaring daggers at me, his face was obviously torn from my attack but so was my mine from his. My own blood still socked my arm and face making a gruesome scene to look at.

" lets get to it then I need name, gender, age, rank, and importance to the queen." He said glancing down at his blank papers waiting for my answers.

" I'm not talking to you or anyone here thank you very much." I scoffed at him for thinking I would just give up my information to him like that.

"We can do it this way or a more unpleasant way." He said looking up with a bored expression. I sniffed at him looking away. I was not going to betray my home.
