Chapter 3: Mystic Eyes of Death Perception.

"Do you still remember?" Raku questioned seriously.

"Yup, unlike you I have a good memory." Kise said, "Forget about that for now, how have you been? Still haven't become a yakuza?"

"Shut up!" Raku quickly shut Kise's mouth looking around making sure no one heard him, "Do you really want to ruin my first day, so badly."

"But it's so cool, you know." Kise said with a teasing smile, "If I were you, I'll be showing up with all my members just so people won't mess with me. But seeing your reaction, I am guessing you still want to run away."

"Sigh! Yes. All I want is an ordinary life after all." Raku nodded, "My dad would love to have you as his son."

"Oh, that I am sure of," Kise laughed as he noticed another girl staring towards his way but not exactly towards him but more towards Raku. "Well, at least, it looks like you won't be dying single."

Kise waved his hands towards the girl but the other party just awkwardly waved back, before turning back quickly as Raku turned towards her.

"Hey, don't hit on Onodera!" Raku complained.

"Someone's overprotective." Kise laughed seeing the blushing Raku, "But you all are idiots, I mean seriously how bad can your memory be. Rakucchi is fine but how dare she forget me."

"What do you mean?"

"Nothing." Kise said, "How do you know her?"

"We went to the same middle school."

"As I suspected..."

"What?" Raku questioned.

"Nothing." Kise smirked, "I think I'll just let it play out, it's more interesting this way."

"There you go talking to yourself again." Raku shook his head, "Let's go back to my place after school. Dad would be happy to see you."

"I am a bit busy today, so how about tomorrow?" Kise said after thinking for a while, "I have to head out with my aunt for shopping today."

"I didn't really know you had an aunt."

"Well, she is my mother's sister. Since father didn't want to bother with me, he transferred my guardianship to her without any fight. You might actually meet her, she is a teacher here after all." Kise shrugged, "Don't make that face, you know how it annoys me."

"I know, I know," Raku said shaking his head, "So are you living with her?"

"Right now, I am at my father's family house." Kise said, "Mom wanted me to stay there no matter what, so I want to at least fulfill that wish of hers. And since aunt hates my father, I live alone."

"Must be tough." Raku said with a worried expression, "Are you sure you are okay? After all, you fainted today."

"I am." Kise said, "Don't forget, I can cook better than you."

"You just copied my movements." Raku complained as he remembered Kise's last visit a couple of years ago, "Sigh! Forget about that, you're coming to my house tomorrow without any excuses."

"I will." Kise nodded, "After all, I do want some Yakuza training."

Raku awkwardly smiled wondering if the guy was really joking or being serious. But unknown to him, Kise was dead serious. Currently learning from a Yakuza was the best way for him to learn about both guns and swords. Though they might not be perfect, it would still be good enough for him especially considering the fact that he didn't have time for proper training.

Lunch break was soon over, and the class continued as usual. Kise was quite keen on his studying especially now since he had his memories back, after all, back in his previous life he had dropped out in middle school. This time he wanted to make up for past regrets.

The classes ended and Kise walked towards the school gate waiting for someone. He said his goodbyes to Raku promising him to visit tomorrow as he stood there waiting. Several students passed by him, with girls whispering and giving him the looks, but that red-haired girl got his attention once again, Akane as she passed by him also noticed Kise, as they made direct eye contact with one another. She stopped in her tracks as they kept keeping their eye contact, ignoring several others that pass by them until a sudden car honk woke them up.

An Aston Martin stopped in front of him, as the car window rolled down.

"Get in." The woman within the car said.

Kise looked back at the crowd but Akane was long gone, shaking his head he got in the car as they drove off. The woman was none other than his aunt, Shizuka Hiratsuka.

"I heard you fainted in class?"

"Yes." Kise said looking at his aunt, "You don't have to worry it's nothing aunt."

"How can I not worry, after all, you're my responsibility and with you living alone, it's more concerning to me." Shizuka said, "Also stop calling me aunt."

"Nee-chan, I just got dizzy." Kise said using his slippery voice trying to appease to her, "Anyway, let's stop by my house first, before we head out. I have a long shopping list."

"Fine." Shizuka said shaking her head, "So how was your homeroom teacher?"

"You mean, Onizuka-sensei?" Kise asked, "Well, he was cool I guess. In fact, he kind of reminded me of you. You know with the smoking and all."

"I am pretty sure, I'll kill him before the semester ends so don't get too attached to him."

"..."

"Forget about him, so did you make any new friends?"

"Not quite, but I did meet Rakucchi." Kise said, "I feel quite lucky to meet a childhood friend here, after all, it had been quite some time.

---------------------

"I'll wait in the car, be quick!" Shizuka said as Kise rushed inside his house.

The first thing he did was to run to a mirror. He activated his Mystic eyes as his iris turned to a fascinating color. Bluish outer border followed by the reddish inner circle, his eyes were beautiful to say the least. He wondered for a while as to how no one noticed his eyes changing color but since no one really did, he figured it was for the best as it was much easier to use his eyes in public.

Kise wanted to try his powers out, so he quickly rushed to the kitchen, grabbing a knife with him. Today's sacrificial victim was the stool in his room. The stool had many different lines of death surrounding it. Getting hold of the thickest line he could find, Kise stabbed the stool for it to fall into pieces.

"This power..." Kise was quite amazed at the effectiveness of the Mystic Eyes, "Seeing how just a single stab could break down the entire stool, I am sure in the human world, I can be the best dismantler."

By this time, Kise had already figured out what he going to do. In fact, he had a pretty good plan for him to survive the upcoming quest and travel into other worlds. With his ability to perfect copy, Kise was sure he could learn the movements quite easily for all the normal sword techniques and he just needed some practice to perfect the moves. He had plans for learning to use guns as well, but the priority fell with swords.

Though guns were more powerful and useful, they had many demerits too, like running out ammo and having aiming issues that not even his copying technique could solve. So for the most part, at least, until he got hold of things he wanted to be proficient with the way of the sword as it matched perfectly with his powers of Mystic Eyes.
