Chapter 3: Chapter 2: Demon King shows restraint?! Ah no.
When you have a headache, you want to get rid of the cause. However, for Hajime, that was not possible. Until he falls down again (with some safety features this time), he was not able to put a bullet through Daisuke's head, nor could he knock him unconscious with the bloodlust he was desperately suppressing. So, even as his ugly face was in front of him, Hajime could not just conjure Donner & Schlag, or any weapon to keep him quiet.
"Come on, you can't even do this kind of basic exercise? I guess an otaku like you weren't meant to be chosen like us. I wonder why goddess even summoned you along with us. Oh, maybe, she didn't even notice you? HAHAHAHA!" As he was looking at this farce, he was sweating from the Yaksha that was starting to manifest behind Kaori who was looking from distance.
'Now that I think about it, how the hell did I not notice Kaori stalking me? Or actually, isn't this kind of bad? I thought that if I don't deviate too much, there won't be any problem, but at this rate, won't she lock me up? Was it that actually me at the time was just barely steps away from bad-end? Shit, this noise is making me hard to focus.' Accidentally forgetting about the trash in front of him, he exposed little of his bloodlust, forgetting the exact thing that he was trying to prevent.
As Daisuke and his gang started foaming at their mouth, Hajime was also panicking inside to, hoping nobody noticed it was him. As the ever-helpful hero (lol) decided to take them away to see the doctor, Hajime started to wonder what he could do right now.
He was acting like he was reading books at the library like the past, but those memories he tried to engrave with his life on the line, literally, did not fade that easily, nor did he actually really need to remember them. Even at the library, in truth, he was trying to create the basic magic circles for the Ancient Magic. Before when he was able to use magic directly, he did not appreciate enough how advantageous that was. Still, he could not just modify his body right now, as he was not sure if his body could handle the shock of reconstruction. He also did not have wealth of skills or magic power that came from eating monsters.
As such, he could only create minor weapons and auxiliary tools, half for fun, like crossbows that will attract projectiles to the enemies that the sight is on, potions that will rewind time of the body to 10 minutes before, or space grenade.
'Huh, actually, could I use space expansion magic to replace gunpowder? Then I might not have to wait until I get my Material Creation to create Donner & Schlag. Or for that matter, Schlagen AA might get an upgrade. Hmm, I wonder, would it be possible to install space movement and weight increase on the barrel? If so, should I put it to manual based on magic power being poured in, or create a dial with a magic stone?' As he was thinking about upgrading his trusted partners that would bring disaster to the world (yes, world, not just enemies), he was walking to library, with obviously stalking Kaori that was giving him the scare.
'Yup, that's it. If she does imprison me, consequences be damned. I'm gonna reconstruct my body then and there.' As he realized that maybe just acting weak might not be the best idea, he hoped that the night before Orcus would only go as far.
As the night set in, he continued to work on his glove that could possibly replace the need to bring magic circles around. While he was not the best in other forms of magic, putting magic circles of different kinds infinitely increased his change of survival after falling. In his mind, there was no option of NOT falling down.
'The longer I'm up on the surface, the longer Yue is suffering. I can't be slow about this. We are going in as soon as possible, Daisuke will do his idiotic act again, and I will go straight down, get the God's crystal, and blaze through the entire thing. I should get some oils and temporary Orkan for now. Actually, thinking about Daisuke, there's also Shimizu. Should I just kill him. Though there won't be situation I will kiss Aiko if that happens, which made her see me as a man, I can't just let her get hurt knowingly. And she was especially frustrated that her first kiss was while she was foaming. Hmm... I will decide when we get there. And then, Nakayama is ...' "Let's just brainwash her. Now let's see, how did I make that one again? Let's first create some yens." Crimson spark illuminated his smiling face.
