Chapter 5: Academy
It's a brand new day, I head to the bathroom to get ready for my first day at the academy. Once I'm dressed I check myself out at the mirror. I'm wearing a black shirt with a gray sleeveless hoodie that has white fur along the edges.
My hands to my elbows are taped except for my right pointer and middle finger. I have a mohawk with the side still being dark and the mohawk medium length.
With a rather nice shape up, on my face I got the Inuzuka clan markings a red upside down triangle on both cheeks. Arm guard on both wrists with a seal on the under side.
Gray shorts down to the knees and both legs taped from ankle to knee. And to finish it of a pair of those black ninja sandals. "Man I look good".
After making my way to the kitchen I see my mom, Hana, and my little brother Kiba. After breakfast Dae shows up from god knows were and jumps into my hoodie never to be seen again. Mom and I head out and meet Sayo and her mother along the way.
Sayo has her blue hair cut short but still dark in the back and sides, while the top reaches down to just above her eyes. She's wearing a gray lab coat similar to Shino Aburame's with gray pants and black sandals.
After greeting everyone we head out, I haven't been out of the clan compound much at all really. The village looks the same as in the anime, not much to talk about.
We arrive at the academy and there's a ton of kids with there parents waiting in the field. I notice Itachi with his parents off to the side and they notice us. They seem surprised that a couple of Inuzuka kids same age as Itachi are here.
Soon the Hokage arrives and gives his loooong ass speech that I just turned out. Once that ends we say goodbye to our parents and head to class.
Once there we head to the back in the corner next to the window.
Shortly after other students filling the seats and Itachi is seated just in front of us. As we wait for the teacher to come I start speaking to him. "Hello my name is Muzaka Inuzuka and this is Sayo Inuzuka, it's nice to meet you". Sayo gives a nod of acknowledgement and says "hello".
Itachi gives a small smile and replies "hello I'm Itachi Uchiha nice to meet you. I was not expecting anyone my age to be here". I nod in understanding, "yeah same here, you must be quite skilled to enter two years early since that's why we're here".
He nods and says "I'm okay, oh looks like the teachers here".
Like he says the teacher arrives and he is a nondescript young man. Class begins and my god I'm bored out of my mind. I pretty much know all the material and Sayo lasted 30 seconds before she brought out her research journal.
Once we start to head out Sayo wakes me up as fell asleep, I couldn't help it alright. We reach a gym of sorts and the teacher speaks "alright class we will do some stretching then have sparing matches to see were you're all at".
Finally something fun, but then I realize that these kids are 8 years old and aside from those from clans the rest don't know much. As I suspected, these kids don't know much. Only reason I managed to stay awake was due to all the movement I can sense, the clan kids put up decent fights though.
Finally something interesting happens, it's Sayo against Itachi. I wasn't upset since I knew we would face off at some point, I give her a hug of encouragement and she hands me Toshi from her coat. I'll be honest I forgot about the little guy and it seems he noticed since he's giving me the stink eye.
I roll my eyes and hold him to my chest. Sayo makes her way to the stage and so does Itachi. The teacher seems to be really interested in this match, as well as the other students. Speaking of those rug rats, Itachi already has a fan group and some of the boys are eyeing Sayo. Well there just kids and Sayo is cute after all.
The teacher waits for them to make the sign and he starts the match. Sayo instantly implements the four leg technique and gets low. Itachi enters a basic stance and they feel each other out. Sayo rushes forward and her speed seems to surprise him for a fraction of a second.
Once in range Sayo makes an open palm jab towards his face but it's a fake and she sweep kicks his legs. Itachi remains calm and ignores the palm strike and avoids the sweep, he performs an axe kick that Sayo dodges. They back off and stare each other down looking for any openings. This time Itachi goes in and does a two punch hook kick combo, Sayo blocks the first punch and evades the second. The hook kick comes in fast and is coming for her head, she flows with the kick missing her by a few inches and uses her momentum to transition into a flip with her heel descending from over his head.
He slips the kick but she sweeps at him with her other leg which he puts his guard up to receive it. Bam! Itachi is knocked back 12 feet.
Itachi pov- i wasn't sure what to make of the two Inuzuka, they seemed nice enough but they have no presence and I can't be sure but I get a slight chill when I looked at the girl.
Muzaka proceeds to fall asleep while Sayo pulls out some notebook and hasn't looked up since.
Once we make it to the training field we start matches and I'm quite curious to see what they're capable of. I seem to be facing off against the girl so I make my way to the ring and perform the sign and enter my stance. She gets low on all fours and rushes me, her speed is a bit surprising but I remain calm.
She throw a fake palm strike and attempts a sweep kick on my leading leg, I raise it and try to axe kick her head. She dodged it now we've separated and stare looking for any openings and find none.
I press the attack and perform a two punch hook kick combo, the punches are ineffective but the hook kick should land. She flows with the kick and performs a flip with her heel coming from up above towards my head, I slip the kick but she swipes at me with her other leg. No time to dodge so I attempt to block it with my forearm, Bam! Crap, I'm sent 12 feet back and my forearm is numb.
Muzaka pov- Yeah that must have hurt his arm must be useless now. The teacher steps in "that's enough, good fight". Now most of these kids have no idea what has happened but it's clear who won this spar, once Sayo returns I give her a hug and congratulate her.
She takes back Toshi and the matches continue, soon it's my turn and I'm up against some nobody. I beat him easily and we head back to class. Like this four months pass and Itachi, Sayo, and I are at the top of the class, Sayo and I have the top two spots in all the outdoor activity's.
Now we are meeting with our teacher, turns out we are being offered to take the exams early. The three of us naturally accepted, and passed it easily. We have finally become genin, about damn time this academy shit was soooo boring. Well time to celebrate with the family.
