Chapter 252: It's CEO Fei
"Remind me again what this party is about." Ying Yue tugged at the top of her dress, making last-minute adjustments in the car to make sure she wouldn't be suffering from any wardrobe malfunctioning, especially since Fei Huangjin chose such a catchy, daring dress.
His lips pulled up into a naughty smile. "Take a guess."
She rolled her eyes at him. "I'm not your secretary anymore; I wouldn't know."
"But my new assistant keeps calling you with his concerns, anyway." He smirked.
"I haven't been picking up on his calls because he was getting annoying," she said pointedly, which made Fei Huangjin chuckle with mirth. The melodious sound of his amusement made her smile, too. It had been a while since they've gone out like this.
The car neared the event hall, trailing behind a few luxury cars. There were tons of photographers and media personnel scattered on the ground, ready to greet the people who arrived. There were also a mob of people holding up signs, screaming at the top of their lungs as they spotted their idols.
Idols?
Her head whipped to the man beside her, who looked at her with a small smile. "I am now the majority shareholder of Cheng Entertainment, and it's been taken under the Fei International group of companies, too."
Her mind whirled. When did this even happen? It wasn't too long ago that they both met up with Cheng Jinyao. This must've put extra load on his shoulders, and he was a busy man even without it. And to think he'd also been shelling out extra time for her, too.
Looking back, Fei Huangjin was already in his study by the time she woke up in the morning. He must've been waking up even earlier than usual to accommodate her during the day. "Huangjin…" She whispered.
He just looked at her amorous eyes in return.
Finally, the car stopped in front of the red carpet, and Fei Huangjin kissed her forehead before getting out of the car. He fixed his tuxedo and held out a hand for her take.
And Ying Yue stepped out. One leg first, and then the other. When she stood up to her full height, she grinned up at Fei Huangjin who looked down at her lovingly.
"You look beautiful tonight, my wife." He kissed her temple, and the crowd who was watching them erupted into squeals of delight.
"Ahhh! It's CEO Fei!"
"Oh my gosh, is that his wife? She's gorgeous!"
"They look so good together!"
"Fei Huangjin, you're so hot!"
Cameras flashed. Screams were heard. Ying Yue, who was a bit overwhelmed, clutched Fei Huangjin's hand tightly, but gave away nothing on her face. She looked like the epitome of beauty and grace, but the red dress made her seem like an untouchable goddess. The male photographers and reporters were stunned to see her, and Fei Huangjin could practically see them almost salivating at the sight of his wife. He knew he should be proud, especially since he picked that dress himself, but with the hungry way they were looking at Ying Yue, and their whistles and attention, he wanted to hide her back in the car.
His face gradually became serious, especially when the photographers directed Ying Yue to stay on the red carpet for more photos. She obliged happily, giving them gracious smiles and modest poses. When Fei Huangjin finally had enough, he wrapped his arms around her and directed her inside.
"Hey, Mrs. Fei! Some more photos, please!"
"Mrs. Fei, come back!"
Fei Huangjin's jaw ticked. These photographers really wanted to die. He turned his head to their direction to flash them a cold, demonic look, causing them to shut their mouths. Had they not, they felt like they'd be sent straight to hell for who-knows-why.
Ying Yue turned to Fei Huangjin with her eyebrows raised. "What's the hurry? They were asking for my photos."
"They were asking to be killed." He hummed.
