Chapter 3: Chapter 2: The Day That Changed Us
"Am I stupid or what? What kind of sane person go to cemetery at night? "as Vix thought himself while walking toward the end right side of the cemetery and moonlight are the only thing that illuminate that night.
Nevertheless, it still helps Vix see the rocky path that leads him to one specific grave. His steps become slower and slower as he's still contemplating about something and not long after he reach at the end right side of the cemetery. It is simple grave with just a plank wood as its tombstone while the graves around it are all with normal stone and some of them with a decoration around it.
This is custom of people on this planet even in death, people are still label the status of the dead person based on their graves. If it was a criminal the graves it will not have any tombstone at all, the poor person using simple and cheap things such as wood planks while rich and famous person has decoration tomb with all kind of wealth inside it.
'Midu Rousth' thats what written on the wood plank. "it's been long time Midu" Vix slowly stretch out his right arm and touch the tombstone. All sorts of feelings playing inside his heart right now, he close his eyes and the memory of the past that he tried to buried inside his heart slowly emerge from his mind.
****Flashback 3 years ago****
"Come here you filthy brats!" The shouting person was an angry teenager boy that had slightly fresh burned on his forehead, blonde hair and rough mean face wearing black shirt with an iron pole on his hand in the middle of town's market while chasing after other 2 teenager boys that look more younger than him. The boys hair was silver while the other one was black, both of them skillfully ran away from the black shirt boy with agile move as they slip through the crowded people on the market's street.
They both were Vix with body above average teenager and normal looking teenager Rook at the age of 12, currently they were running away from one of bullies that are 3 years older than them. The boys stopped when they reached the intersection and looking at each other then both of them nod at the same time and split up.
The black shirt boy also stopped at the intersection and keep looking left and right as he was choosing where to go. He quickly chose left route to chase after Rook, he accidentally bump into little girl's shoulder in the crowd and continue his pursuit. The distance between Rook and the black shirt boy getting closer and closer because the path was leading away from the market therefore the street are not crowded unlike before. The physical body of the black shirt boy and the speed of his running are more stronger and faster than Rook. A few minutes later, he managed to grabbed Rook's collar from behind and pulled him back.
"Gotcha you damn mutt" say the black shirt boy while smiling.
"Arghh" Rook stumbled back and fall downs on the floor in front the boy.
"I'm gonna f**k you up really bad for what you had done to me!".
"You're lucky the firework doesn't hit your face directly hahaha" , Rook said while chuckling.
Agitated by Rook, he started lift his hand up that was holding the iron pole and continue say "You think that's funny huh, well I tell you what.. Bruise and bloody face are more funnier".He then swung down the iron pole but suddenly it stopped halfway.
It was Vix that stopped the pole by grabbing it with his right hand. " Really? Well, let's try on your face then shall we?" He snatched the pole away from the boy and throw it off. Rook smile and started to standing up from the floor as Vix continue saying while approaching the boy. "We know what you did to Willy, .. and we will take you to authority right now."
" Who? Owhh.. The comatose boy hahaha.. I see you're come here to get revenge huh.. so that's the reason you had me chasing you guys all the way here so you can cut me off from my lackey". The black shirt boy, Henry started clapping then cross his arm and continue saying"Yes, i admit it was fun toying with that little boy hahaha he should just give me the damn money when I asked him the first time, also the way he screaming after getting beat is so refreshing... Arghhh".
Vix cuts off Henry's words by grabbing his neck with right hand and saying "refreshing huh".He's about to throw a punch with his left hand as he already lifted it up. Henry was struggling to take off Vix's hand from him but it was no use as Vix's hand was so strong.
"I'm sorry Rook, I know we are not supposed to hurt him and wait for Mr Wallace to come here but I can't stand this piece of shit talking and yapping"
"I understand Vix, but don't over do it we still need him to talk later" Rook gave hia approval as he also can't stand Henry's words.
Vix swung his left hand punch toward Henry's face and it almost hitting his face suddenly they heard a shouting voice from the market direction so Vix stopped. "Yo boss! We were wonder where you at.. so your here" .It was Henry's gang which is consist of 5 people, they followed him when he started chasing Vix and Rook." Don't worry we gonna back you and beat the crap out of this two together "
Hearing that Rook cracking his knuckles and ready his battle stance. Vix which his right hand still grabbing Henry's neck while his left taunting the gang by waving 'come here' sign. But of course both of their face shows no sign of fear. This is not their first time fighting a large group of people and most of the time Vix was the one mopped those people while Rook usually get beaten up and laying on the floor unconscious.
"Stop! I did not come here to watch you kids fighting like a bunch of dogs!" It was an old man voice that came from the back alley. It is Mr Wallace that Vix talking about and he's approaching them quickly with other 2 young policemen behind him. Seeing policemen entering the scene, Henry's gang does not dare to interfering anymore.
Mr Wallace is a middle age man with brown hair wearing a navy colour police officer uniform with full strapped shoe on and badge of this country with 5 red line as indicator of his position as captain on his right chest.He was very honest, hardworking police officer also he never discriminate and he is also one of the rarest people that does not follow 'strong prey on weak' law in this world. Since he's in charge of this town the crime rate has dropped dramatically.
"Let him go Vix" said Mr Wallace after watching Henry's face that getting paler over time. He let go Henry's neck unwillingy and saying " Mr Wallace is here so its better you tell us the truth now"
"cough cough.. Those words ain't worth shit.. I can just say that you guys trying to frame me, you need evidence a real evidence" Henry was coughing of relief and still rubbing his ached neck.
"Evidence? Of course we have! It's in your pocket right now hehe" a little girl voice came from behind one of the policemen. She stepped forward with innocent smile on her face and pointing with her little finger to Henry's pocket pants.
She was Midu Rousth age 11 years old. She's also Rook's biological little sister with black hair same as Rook, white smooth silky skin and typical loli type. She continue saying "Willy's mother told me that Willy always wearing his late father necklace and it was gone the day he gotten injured..Possibly taken by the culprit himself.. Isn't that right culprit-kun? "
Henry smile widely after hearing the accusations that was thrown by this little girl. He's indeed took the necklace but he already sold it to a pawn shop and gained a few (C)s. Even they do find it at the pawn shop, the identity of the seller is still unknown because when he went to the shop, he's making sure to hide his identity by using a hoodie and muffler to cover his head and face.It was perfectly planned or so he thought.
With a smirk on his face, Henry say"What are you saying little mutt? You can't just said things without any proof or evidence"
Midu instantly reply to him"Are you deaf or are you stupid? Or maybe are you both? Didn't I already said that the evidence is inside your pocket pants you dumbass"
"Yo... u...little shiit how dare you talk to me like that" hearing her replied like spitting poison into his face making his blood boiled and he move toward to little girl trying to smack her face but was block by Mr Wallace. Midu quickly move beside Vix and his brother Rook, then without anyone looking she stick her tongue out to taunt Henry more.
"If it's as you said Henry, then it should not be a problem if you show us what's inside your pocket right now?" Mr Wallace said as soon as he blocking Henry's path.
Henry start moving his hands and put it inside both of his pocket pants, searching while talking"Of course, I'm gonna show all of you that this is just a part of bullshit planned by those f**king... Hmm?" Henry's face change greatly.
Noticed the changes expression on his face, Mr Wallace ask again" What's wrong Henry?Show us what's inside your pocket this instance! "
Without his reply, Mr Wallace order both policemen to took out Henry's hands. They forcefully took out both his hands from the pockets and find the necklace that was in his left hand. One of the policemen took the necklace from him and gave it to Mr Wallace. Mr Wallace examine the necklace and try to match it with the description that was gave it to him through the report issued by the victim's mother.
"Hmmmm, it's the same as the description, the necklace has a names both Willy's parent under it, a solid proof,Henry you are under arrest for the charge of robbery and harming lives of innocent boy. Henry just went to blank state and starting to think himself *how does this damn thing inside my pocket?!!Unless..* He turns his head to look at Midu while both of his hands were handcuffed. " Dammnn you little mutt!!! It was you isn't? You're the one who did it!!".
His face was red like a tomato because of the anger toward the girl as he remembered the time when he was chasing after Rook where he accidentally bumped into little girl. He struggled and tried to rushing toward her but was hold by both policemen.
Seeing Henry act like a crazy man, both Vix and Rook pulled her behind their back as a safety measure.
"You're the one put it inside my pocket at the market earlier you little mutt!!!I'm gonna kill you!!all of you!! Arghhhh! He's keep shouting and struggling while both policemen drag him to the police office.
All the people that walks on the street stopped and watching him going mad along the way."Isn't that Henry? "So what happen to Henry now? Is he going to jail?". You can hear the bystanders on the street keep talking among themselves. Henry's gang already gone the moment police came as they had no loyalty toward him,they followed Henry because out of fear not out of friendship.
Mr Wallace went to Vix and his friends and say "Thank you kids, you guys done a great job again.Willy's mother should be ease a bit".
" No, we're the one should be thanking you instead because willing to use your precious time and also believing us all this time Mr Wallace" . Said Midu and then she bowing to him.
"That's right Mr Wallace, thank you very much for your help" both Vix and Rook bowing to him after Vix said that.
"Hahahaha, strong, brave, and good at sweet talking too, you guys never cease to impress me" Mr Wallace smile brightly as he heard those word from the kids. He's very weak whenever someone praising or thankfull to him and when that happen he always laugh to cover his embrassement, thats just how he is."Well then, I should be going now there is lot of reports and works to do, see you around kids" He turned around and went straight to police office.
The trio started waving their hand and saying "Take care of yourself Mr Wallace!"The trio stopped waving after his figure can no longer be seen.
" I'm impressed Midu, how do you know that bastard sold the necklace and the location of the shop too?It's always you who find this kind of information" Rook asked Midu after confirming that no one around them. He cannot hold his curiosity anymore.
"You want to know big bro Rook? Come closer, ITS A SECRET ~~~by the way let's go to Willy's house and tell his mother about this, the sooner the better don't you think?"
"Yes, your right Midu. Let's go Rook" Vix agreeing with Midu's suggestion. Hearing Vix, Midu smile happily and went ahead of them by walking faster.
Annoyed expression can be seen from Rook's face and he then turns to Vix "Don't you want to know too Vix?"
Vix instantly answered Rook's question "I don't. You keep asking the same question everytime and I'm sure that Midu must have good reasons why she doesn't want to tell us"
"I guess your right but still.. I'm her big brother you know? She used to tell me about every little things when she was younger such as big bro Rook~~ look at this~~ and look at that~~, nowadays she's hardly tell me anything,Is this what they call rebel phase? Ooo noo.. my little sunshine please don't grow up" after saying that he rubbing his head hard with both of his hands.
Watching him act like that, Vix sigh and then muttering to himself "This is exactly why they call you sis-con in the orphanage."
