Chapter 2: Ordinary in every way 2
When he finally made up his mind to talk to the voice inside his head, he heard it laughing. He was scared because he didn't know what was happening to him. As soon as he reached home he rushed to his room.
'I think you can hear me even if I don't say it out loud'
[ohhh you are talking to me? So you finally came to your senses]
The low pitched voice was mocking him. I slight frustration could be seen of his face. He was annoyed by the mocking undertone of the voice but he decided to go ahead anyways.
'Who....No what are you? What do you want from me?'
[i don't want to answer your questions. I have been trying to talk to you since past 11 days. You expect me to answer you since you finally came to your senses]
The frustration on his face grew. He started to realise that there was something inside his head that he had no control over. He thought he might be having mental health issues but then
[...these questions are not important what's important is that something amazing is happening to you? Don't you want to know about that?]
The voice was right. The most pressing issue right now was what was happening to him. So he decided to take a step back.
'Go ahead, you have my attention '
[what you are experiencing now is what we call the power of the Implementer. People are born with no karma in this world, they have the right to choose. Either they can do good to others and and get positive karma or they can do bad and get negative karma... but then there are people like you who don't collect any type of karma in there life…]
'What are you talking about? You mean to say I never did anything good or bad in my life? That's just not true'
[Shut up and listen]
He flinched after hearing the voice getting louder
[its not about the good or bad that you humans think about, rather it transcends the basic human logic. To put it simply it's for the greater good for your species as a whole.]
'What is he even talking about I don't get any...'
He stopped himself after remembering that the voice could read anything he thinks of
[ahhh... and here I thought you were smart. I will dumb it down for you as much as I can]
After a wait of few minutes the voice started again
[after you gave me no response I decided to start the awakening the powers of implementer anyways, I thought you would go crazy and won't be able to handle it. I would have returned to the lord and reported the failure. I am still surprised to see you doing alright. To put it simply you need to train your mind and body and carry out the will of our lord or you will die a shameful death]
Sid was shook. He could believe what the voice just said to him. There was too much to comprehend and he knew whatever he thought the voice could just read it. The most shocking of all was the prediction of his death. He couldn't help himself and with an angry undertone he asked
'How can you do this to me? Don't I have any say in this matter after all this concerns my life'
He was quickly cutoff by the voice
[you had it but you decided not to talk to me. Now you don't, the awakening has already started. I can do nothing to stop it even if I tried]
This was like the final blow of a really short and embarrassing battle. His mind went blank, the pain he felt when he woke up in this morning has kicked in again. He gripped his head with both his hands and was about to break down. He was being forced into doing something he had no intention of doing. He couldn't believe this was really happening.
[Hey you alright there? You don't have to be like that, you know you will receive powers that can change the fate of this world.]
But he didn't want that, he has always steered clear of any such things. He just wanted a normal life and be happy with the little things he had. Now things were out of his hands
'What will I have to do'
[Well I can help you train your mind but you have to train your body yourself. The next step of awakening will be in a month but I would like you to give all your time in training after all it won't be easy surviving the apocalypse]
'...What did you say? An apocalypse? The world is going to end'
He heard no answer to his questions but he had a gut feeling that voice was smiling.
