Chapter 35: "The School's Dreamboat"

The Supreme Academy where I goes, was well-known for its excellent students in fields of various subjects. So every students' rates were determined by their ranking namely called the First, Second and the Third Rates. The higher the ranking the higher is the possibility to get chosen by the school authority to rule the academy for a year as the grades resets every year.

Although every students were from royalties and aristocratic backgrounds it was the First Rate Students who received the highest privilege. They were treated as either outcast or subordinates if their grades did not qualify. And it is is only the First Rate Students who were allowed to get elected in the Student Council and no one, not even the authorities could interfere in their matter or in decision making. The school president also has the authority to use it's power however they wish even if the academy was it's peak, because as long as the students provided the finest grades it was none of their concern. That is the strength of the Student Council Members. Sounds like a corrupted government? Sure, but who would not set their eyes to be in the First Rate?

Many tried to gained that position but only few could achieve it. Among those people were my brothers. They were not only brainies but were also the most handsome males in the whole campus. Although there were no ends of handsome hunks in our academy they were the dreamboats of many young girls. No wonder, females always fight over them to have their attention, as if all it takes to make their day was the glimpse of their image. Even the males were envious of them but they would do anything to have their favour. They were highly admired as could be expected of the Maezawa sons.

While I, am here in the teacher's room, receiving some mental punishment from my homeroom teacher as the result of continuous poor performance in my academic session.

After 20 minutes of breathless lecture he heave a huge sigh at my grades. Immediately, when he move his attention from my grade book and divert his gazes upon me I jerk as if I had been shocked. "You little worm...."

I never did well in the monthly test and also ended up failing in our first mid term exam. Can you believe?

So I was punished to move out some old books to an old storage room which is way far from the library and there's no end to it. That also after every evening class ends...

Should I rejoice that I have a whole month left with me yet, 60 more books are waiting for me that also very very thick huge ones? God! have mercy on this poor girl... But welp, it's not like I wasnt warned but yes I regret not taking my studies seriously but honestly I never had the liking in studies. Even during those days when I was taught by my personal tutor I always tried to escape his class. But our school is so keen about discipline and rules that there are no exception for anyone.

I was walking up the stairs with an armful of huge stack of books that weight 10 stones to me. I huff in a slight sulk but grows thoughtful when I recall the last words of my teacher, "And if you fail to complete this within a month, your work load will be increased double the previous one."

I squeak out. "What??!" I was first suprised and then aghast at his statement. "But...100 large books?" I questioned but he dismiss me by waving his hand away.

'Double the previous one, double the previous one.....double.....' I chant it in my head to cheer myself and suddenly a voice interrupts my chant.

"Move you're blocking my way." Came a voice from the front.

My sulky face that was almost covered by piles of book was replaced by a pout when the person turned out to be Aito. "Geez, can you not help me like a good gentleman instead?"

In a carefree he leans against the wall with his hands tucked inside his pockets and scoffs. "Don't drag me into this. You brought this to yourself."

"Humph fine, nevermind meanie." I mumble it under my breath with a small pout but enough to make him hear and for a reason the stern face he always put off softens a little bit. As I was about to take a turn he grab the books from my arms. And I look up at him with my eyes a little widened.

"Don't get the wrong idea I'm doing this just only this." He said it in a half blush tone.

I nod my head at him and have a little chuckle behind his back. He may be cold and rude but at times he knows how to melt.
