"Zhenzhen what wrong, answer me," Shen Fei'er asked as Bai Zhenzhen cried.
it seemed that the more she asked the harder she cried. Shen Fei'er quickly cut the call. Zhenzhen didn't even notice that the call was cut, the phone had long since slipped from her hands to the floor.
She continues crying bending her knee and placing her head on her knees. She didn't understand what could have driven him to do something like this, they were on good terms. they'd been so happy together without much misunderstanding.
He didn't even give a sign about it, 50 minutes later she was still crying when the doorbell rang. She stood going to open the door expecting her younger brother.
She opened the door to find none other than Shen Fei'er. She was shocked speechless because Fei'er wasn't expected back until the weekend.
"what are you doing back I thought you still had some things to settle at A city? she said moving aside for Fei'er to walk in and shutting the door.
"we finished on time so I decided to come back to B city. I was calling to surprise you, imagine my surprise when you just kept crying all through the phone call it seems like an emergency at that time goes up what could've possibly caused you to turn into a wet blanket, what happened" she said taking a seat next to Zhenzhen.
"he broke up with me, Fei'er he just called me now all of a sudden. Imagine my surprise receiving a phone call all happy only for it to end with let's break up I couldn't do that after 7 years" Zhenzhen said tearing up immediately.
"Oh oh darling doesn't cry don't be sad it will get better come on I'm here am not leaving anytime soon. I'm done with the tour and everything.
"I don't have any other thing on my schedule, don't worry tomorrow we will go all out get your nails done, have some skincare the whole package," Shen Fei'er said softly.
"I feel so stupid how could I not have noticed the signs were there we hardly had time for each other anymore. He wasn't picking my calls often with his usual statement that always being that he was so busy, so busy and I wasn't? she said resting her head on Fei'er shoulder.
"That Li Cheng has always been so sneaky, yes don't worry when I see him, I'll give him a piece of my mind. He should be lucky to have had you. You who stayed true to him even through everything. if it wasn't for you he never has made it into the entertainment industry you supported him all through.
"Yes didn't his mother refused to pay for his tuition but you worked two jobs just to pay the tuition. He's such an ingrate I don't know why you took him seriously. I am not surprised at this action at all, I saw it coming.
" I'm not trying to make you feel bad or to say I told you so but you could do way better than that. So chin up it will get better don't cry anymore. Your eyes are getting red don't forget that you're an actress.
"You have to take better care of your face. it wouldn't be good if you looked bloated in the morning come on super fairy Bai Zhenzhen" Shen Fei'er said wiping the tears from her eyes.
"by the way where's that brother of yours. I'm surprised he's not back yet don't tell me he's sleeping in the hospital again such a dedicated doctor" she scoffed
"he has a 12-hour shift so he will be back later tonight. Oh my, I forgot to make dinner" Zhenzhen said sitting up quickly.
"make dinner? you mean to call a restaurant and get a takeaway then warm it in the microwave. We all know you can't cook. You're not even allowed to cook. Who wants you to burn down the apartment and call it cooking or giving us food poisoning thank you don't mention" Shen Fei'er teased.
late in the night
Shen Fei'er and Bai Zhenzhen were applying nail polish to each other.
"How was your day you seemed overjoyed when you sent me the voice note early this afternoon," Fei'er said placing her face mask as Zhenzhen applied red nail polish on her toenails
"It was good I got a call from my dog manager," Zhenzhen said.
"a good call that could only mean you got some work. how is that dog manager of yours" Fei'er replied rolling her eyes. she wasn't fond of manager Ji no surprise on her part the man was a snake.
"angry as usual I don't think I've seen him happy at all except when he's trying to fool you or cheat someone out of some cool cash" They both laughed loudly, imagining her manager's frozen angry face
"I think angry is his happy face not that he even has a pretty face. So how was your shoot? Even though it can't be anything special seeing as it came from you know who"
"just a small part, come on rich girl try guessing whose movie I was unfortunate to act in taking a wide guess," she said noticing Fei'er thoughtful expression she continued "Yu Minna, She is something else I wish I could get a break"
"I hope she didn't try anything funny that girl is not normal. Though judging from your swollen face she most definitely tried something funny"
"That she did," Shenzhen said.
"wow today isn't your day, when is the episode airing so I can watch it," Fei'er said
"It should be airing by the weekend," Zhenzhen said.
"Good I will make sure I tune in," fei'er said.
"So how was your tour? Zhenzhen said
"Good I met with Ling Chao at his grandparent's home. They have set a date for parents to meet and discuss with each other" Fei'er said smiling shyly.
"Fei'er looks at you, very soon you will be a bride am so happy for you," Zhenzhen said.
"Stop making me shy, Zhenzhen you also have to hurry up so that our kids can play with each other" Fei'er said sitting up.
"Okay Fei'er, am feeling sleepy let's call it a night," Zhenzhen said yawning.
"Alright, good night Zhenzhen," Fei'er said closing her eyes.
