Chapter 12: I Have To Wear That!
"Here is your room. Call me if you need anything." The staff lead me to my dressing room. Stopping in front of the door.
"Thank you for your time." I wave at the employee, then I walk into the room. I stop and see tons of makeup and wigs, plus female clothes. I turn around and clothes the door making Allie run into my chest.
"What the heck! Landon. Why are you trying to leave?" She glared at me, I just turn to the side to see if my name was tag, so show its my dressing room for the period.
"I think they got the room mix up." I point to the door, trying to say that there are other people stuff in the room.
"What do you mean the Plucker on the side shows your name? Let me just check inside and see what's going on." I move away from her to enter the room. I watch as she goes into the room and looks around, and then she calls out my styles Casey name. I peek inside and I see Candy in the room finishing settling up the makeup area. I watch as her and Allie talk to each other pointing at me, while laughing.
"What's so funny and why is Casey in this room?" I whine to them because I was annoyed that they were obviously making jokes about me. Casey been my makeup and styles for 5 years, she's 7 years older than me. She is a petite woman, with short ash purple hair, and blue eyes. She likes to joke around and gossip, and she loves her work. She's also like another sister to me.
"She's here because it is your room, and we are laughing because you most likely thought that this was a girl room. Which means you were not listening to me earlier, making this even more awesome as a punishment for not listening." Once she said this was my dressing room, I got ready to run away.
"Oh no you don't." Allie grab me before I could run. I was pouting at she was dragging me by the collar. Ugh dang it! why did Elliott had to text me, that stupid flirt.
"Just relax take a nap or something it's going to take like an hour or two for you to get ready." Casey started to clean my face with a make wipe. She as a soy base cleanser and later put on an aloe gel face mask. After, about 10 minutes she use a warm towel, and remove the mask. Then, she sprayed an aloe and citrus toner. Next, she use a cold jade roller to massage the serum into my skin wake it up with its cold feeling. Last, she moisturize my face.
"Okay so are we done yet?" I ask knowing that it is not. As I played with the hem of Elliott hoodie.
"No it's only the beginning. Plus you have an other hour to fix your face with makeup. But relax you'll look great cross dressing." Casey giving me zero amount of sugar in her words. I pout no one wants to hear that they will look good if they had to dress like the opposite gender.
As I continue on my hater rage, Allie speaks up.
"Today's show think about it as a test or an exercise for acting." She said as she was looking through the script.
"What do you mean test?" I looked at her through the mirror like she was crazy?
"So you are an official guest of today's show but the hosts think you are coming later. But really you are going to be with them from the start. It's a game show. While the hosts are doing missions together, you as a individual have a solo mission." She explains, I nod as I listen. So what's the point in pretending to be a girl?
"Okay, so what's my mission?"
"Hide and seek. But not in places, hide within or around people." She gets up and starts to look at my outfits I could where.
"So I have to blend in with people. And I can't hide in spaces like a closet or under a desk. I have to be plain in sight?" I raise my eyebrow at her. But stop as Casey smack me for moving while she does my makeup.
"Yup, they see you but won't find you."
"So what about my appearance?"
"Ooh that's because we are filming at an all girls university. So you are going to be dress like a student. Here's your outfit!" She shows me a short pink skirt with a white small long sleeve, and long length boot heels.
"I have to wear that?!?" I got up from the makeup seat. And then run to her.
"You can't be serious?"
"Nope you are wearing this. See what happens when you don't listen. Now put this on." She throws the clothes at me pushing me to the changing area.
I sigh as I start to change into the clothes, I already agreed to everything so might as well go with it. After I was done, I walk out to show them to see if I am wearing the outfit right.
"Is this right? Is this top suppose to be tight to the skin?" I stand in front feeling awkward.
"Almost there, I'll help you." Allie comes toward me. She tucks in the top into the skirt. And then she pulls the sleeves down off my shoulders.
"Wow, your legs are better then mines." She help me pull the high length boot heels to my thighs.
"Okay go get your hair done." Allie gave me a good look to see if the outfit is fine.
"Okay I guess." I lazily walk back to the makeup table. Once I seat down, Casey start to work on my hair. Then, finally I finish getting ready.
"Wow you look 100% like a girl." Casey said after she was done with my "hair."
"You look amazing! I bet guys would pick you up left to right if we go out right now." Allie tease me. I blush, wrapping my arm around my body.
"Let's take pictures!" Casey came towards us with her phone. Then Allie and Casey started to take pictures of me. I feel so embarrass, I know these are going to be so much black history and blackmail with these photos.
Then, there was a knock on the door. It was the assistant director.
"Time to film." The AD calls from the door.
"Coming!" I walk out with the AD to the set.
