Celebrent finally thought it safe to move from his hiding spot, but that doesn't mean he wasn't careful. Celebrent couldn't smell the monster nearby, and he didn't see it when he peaked over the edges of the cave walls.
Celebrent walked back to his nest where he was born, as he felt like he was supposed to wait there for something. Celebrent walked into the room and realized something was wrong, his egg was missing! Celebrent was distraught, and thought that the egg grew legs and was trying to run away from him.
Celebrent immediately rushed out of the cave and and was blinded my the light of the world. When his eyes adjusted he saw a vast amount of trees and a lake being fed water from a river that went through his cave's mountain.
Celebrent snapped out of his amazement when he heard a loud crunch.
