She's acting as if someone had accused her of committing murder or something.
Through my [Sensing] I could tell that the guys on the ground were still alive.
I wonder what she did in order to knock them down like that?

And she's a Mermaid too.
I've seen various races back in Lam City, but it's my first time seeing a Mermaid.
As expected of a port city to have marine races residing here.
From her appearance right now, I would never have guessed her real race without using [Appraisal Analysis].
She looks just like any ordinary human.
As for her job...
I really was not expecting her to have a magic type job.
Based on the mana wrapped around her body, she must have shocked the three guys the moment they touched her which resulted in them being taken out easily.
Honestly, everything in her status was shocking to me.
Her level, job, race…
Heck, even her name was surprising due to the fact that she has a last name.
The amount of people I've seen in this world that have a last name can be counted on one hand.
William Hall, Albert Rekett, Argo Denosso, Haim Elric, and recently Rena Foss.
I think that was all of them.
Now, Skadi Trident can be included on that list.
"It's alright. I'm not blaming you for anything." I said to make her calm down.
"Really? You're not going to arrest and imprison me, and then ask my family for a ransom?"
What the heck?
Do I look like some lowlife in this girl's eyes?

She probably thinks that I'm some high level person of authority in this place.
"Relax. I won't do any of that. I'm just a traveler. Besides, these guys were the one in the wrong in the first place. If anybody is going to be arrested, it's gonna them." I explained.
"Eh? Why? They were kind enough to lead me to where I could get a ticket for a ship going to the Beastman Kingdom."

Is she playing a joke on me?
Could it be that she didn't notice that these guys had bad intentions?
"I think they just brought you here so that they could try and kidnap you..."
"EHHH?! That's horrible! Why would they do such a thing?"

I have a feeling that if I continue to interact with this natural airhead, some of my brain cells are going to commit suicide.
In fact, I think I can already feel it happening.

Anyways, I'm glad she's fine but I should probably keep my distance from her as soon as possible.
"I think that it would be best if you left this area and avoided any dark alleys from now on. Since you're alright, I'll be taking my leave. Take care!"
I quickly turned around and left without waiting for her reply.
"Ah! Please wait!"
Unfortunately for me, she chased after me.
I started walking faster.
"Wait! Why are you running?!"
To avoid you obviously!
My fast walking soon turned into sprinting.
I headed towards where I could sense my mud shackles that were on Mumador.
He was walking somewhere on the main road that was full of people.
In order to reach the alley, I had to go through a few side roads which had less people around.
I ran faster after noticing that the girl was catching up to me.
She was pretty fast.
*Bzzt*
"PLEASE STOP!"
"Gah!"
"Kyaa!"
All of a sudden, she disappeared from my sight and like a streak of lightning, Skadi appeared in front of me.
Since she popped up so suddenly, I didn't have time to react and so I collided with her.
The collision caused both of us to tumble down on the ground together.
"Ugh. Hey what are you thinking?! You shouldn't just appear in front of som-"
*Boing*
"Hm? What's this?"
My collision with Skadi had disoriented me.
I spoke while pushing myself up but I felt my hand touching something soft and bouncy.
I looked down to see that Skadi was right under me.
Right now, it looked like I was straddling her.
And when I pushed myself up, I had inadvertently grabbed her voluptuous chest.
"Oh. Um…"
I took a look at Skadi's dumbfounded face which started to turn into a shade of pink.
The tumble had pushed the hood off of her head which finally allowed me to fully see her face.
She had a cute round face with big, deep purple-colored eyes.
On her head was long blue-colored wavy hair that reminded me of the ocean I saw earlier.
The sapphire earrings that she wore only accentuated her beauty.
"Sorry, but can I just say that your chest is quite well-developed."
As someone who wasn't well endowed before I became a mud girl, I was slightly jealous of her.
Only a little bit.
Skadi's face turned red and…
"KYA-"
"We are near the main road and unless you want to attract lots of attention, I suggest not continuing what you were about to do. In the end, this was your fault after all."
Before Skadi could unleash a sound attack on me, I gently covered her mouth and whispered this into her ear.
She slowly nodded and I removed my hand from her mouth.
I admit that the situation was very awkward and kind of had a rape-like vibe which I didn't like.
I immediately got off of her and held out a hand to help her to her feet.
When Skadi took my hand, she suddenly had a face of realization and tried to let go, but I held tight and pulled her up regardless.
"Are you alright?"
I asked her after I saw that she just stood there with a dumbfounded look on her face.
She was staring at her hand, the one that I just held on to.
She then looked my hand, then back to hers, then back to mine, and then finally she looked at my face.
"How?" She asked.
"How what?" I asked back.
"Hmmm…"
"…"
Skadi looked like she entered deep in thought.
What a strange girl.
"Haa… Why were you chasing after me anyways?" I sighed and asked her.
I had clearly shown my intentions of not wanting to involve myself with her but she was quite stubborn.
No wait, maybe she couldn't understand my intentions because of her air-headedness?
"Ah. I wanted to ask if you knew how to get to the Beastman Kingdom. I got lost trying to go there. I arrived here recently to ask for directions."
"…"
I just arrived here like you, how could I know something that you don't?
But since we are heading for the same place, I guess I could keep her company and look for transportation together.
It's not as if I'm worried that this beautiful, naïve airhead will get taken advantage of or anything.
"You know… I'm also looking for a way to get to the Beastman Kingdom. How about we look together?"
"Really?! That would be great!"
Skadi looked elated and had sparkles in her eyes.
She reminded me of my friend Flaire.
"By the way, my name is Skadi. What's yours?" She asked.
I already knew her name through her status, but she can't see mine.
"My name is Krim Son. Just call me Rim for short." I said and held out my hand for a handshake involuntarily.
It was a force of habit.
You normally shake hands when you introduce yourself to another person right?
"Rim! It's nice to meet you!"
Skadi energetically grabbed my hand and started shaking it up and down.
"Un. Nice to meet you too."
