Chapter 37: Be strong
Nai Yuge raised her hand and was about to slap her but was stopped when someone grabbed her wrist.
She snapped her head towards that person and glared, "What now?!"
Lay Zhang was looking seriously at her, "Nai Yuge, not here. We're in the middle of a party." He leaned and whispered in her ear, "You don't want your reputation to be ruined after tonight, right?"
Nai Yuge turned her gaze to the people that were looking around them and saw that some were holding their phones.
She ended up laughing lightly, "I was just kidding around you know."
When Mo Han and Cai Rouhang received her gaze, they finally released Ye Shuxin and chuckled, "Yeah, we were just joking around."
They badly wanted to beat her up but they couldn't do it in front of others.
Nai Yuge turned to look at Ye Shuxin and smiled, "You're still the same as ever, Xiao Xin. I mean it when I said that we should put everything in the past."
"Yeah, I heard Nai Yuge said that."
"In fact, it was Ye Shuxin who tried to start a fight between them."
"I know, right? If not for her harsh words, Nai Yuge wouldn't have poured that drink on her."
"Tch, Ye Shuxin never changed. First, she stole Nai Yuge's boyfriend back then, now she's still trying to do the same. What a bitch."

"Let's not waste our time with her anymore. Let's go." Nai Yuge said as she turned and left with her friends.
Lay Zhang took his handkerchief out and was about to offer it to her but his hand was slapped away by her.
He only wanted to help her but in the end, he only made her look bad in front of others.
"Thank you, bastard." She looked at him as she forced out a smile.
She turned away and went to the restroom to get herself cleaned up.
There was no one in the women's restroom. She locked herself inside the cubicle as she tried her best to calm herself down and to stop her tears from spilling.
Damn it! Damn it! She really shouldn't have attended this social gathering. She only humiliated herself in front of others.
What's the use of showing herself to them when nothing changed? She was still poor... Yes, she may have been brave enough to stand before them but what use was it?
She was all talk. How stupid...
Her mother wasn't there to join her... ha! Why was she even thinking of her mother?
Right... in this world, her mother was the only person on her side and yet, even if she was the only person on her side, her mother couldn't do anything to help her out.
All this time, she was working hard, striving hard to have a good life. She was looking for ways on how to stand on the same ground as Nai Yuge, the person she hated the most.
What's the use of marrying Jin Mingze if he wasn't even taking her side?
She has yet to win his heart...
When will that be? What if she failed in doing so?
A loud crispy slap was heard inside the cubicle.
"Get a hold of yourself, Ye Shuxin!" She scolded herself.
It wasn't the time to be sulking on her failures. She has told herself numerous times that no matter how many times she fails, she will always get up and face everyone.
She should become more ruthless! Crueler!
The person she was right now was not strong enough. She promised herself that one day, she was going to make them suffer with or without help!
Her eyes became brighter than it usually was. It was as if a fire was lit inside them.
She left the cubicle and cleaned herself there. She washed her hair and dried it. She reapplied her makeup and looked at her reflection against the mirror.
"Be strong. Be strong, Ye Shuxin." She muttered to herself, like a chant, giving strength to herself.
