Chapter 2: Solis

She stared at the man before her, he was clad in rough, rogue-ish leathers, his eyes a deep red like the brick around her.

"Who are you?" Her voice soft and but a whisper though he had no time to respond as the rushed noises of footsteps grew closer, without her blinking the man picked her up by the waist and ran off the side of the building, she couldn't help but squeal from the sudden interaction as she was kidnapped.

All of it was a blur as she watched the knights chase them, them running into those red soily tunnels and avoiding the man-pig monstrosities lurking within them. Soon, they arrived at a portal made of rounded, oily black stone and a purple, slime-like substance in the middle, swirling beckoning her and the man with chaotic, unintelligible whispers. They rushed throughout the man seemingly disappearing as did she, she then was tossed down onto a grassy surface while the air smelt fresh and sweet. The man then broke the dark portal structure to ensure no one would follow them,

"Sorry about that, Little dove." He said in rushed breaths as he caught his breath, "Couldn't let you stay there in that hell hole."

She was shaking as she scrambled up to look at him fully, "Well, C-can you at least tell me who you are?" She stuttered out the sentence with great courage as the man chuckled, "Ah, sorry about that, My name is Emeril or Emil to you, Dove." The man, Emil, smiled at her with a hint of friendliness, "What is your name then, Dove?" She then thought for a second, What was her name? She remembered a lot of things but not her name which frustrated her. After a few minutes of contemplation she then managed to speak a name, "Y-Yurah, My name is Yurah." He chuckled, "Pleasure to meet you, Yurah, But if you excuse me, I'll be heading to Cerine." He then seemingly disappeared within the blink of an eye and She, Yurah, went off, wandering the forest for what seemed like hours.

Soon she arrived at a beaten dirt path on the side of a cliff, overlooking the sea, out of curiosity she followed this path after hours, maybe minutes, Yurah soon saw a village right beside the sea. She began running despite the aching in her legs, she wanted to find at least shelter and warmth as it was cold and she began to shiver. Soon after 4 hours, Yurah arrived at her destination, the Village of Amaranth.
