Chapter 43: Endorsement Offer

Aiden had a small frown. " That's a good idea, assistant Gen. But maybe we should work on just one celebrity instead. Instead of using models we should just pick one hot celebrity and have her sponsor our product" He suggested and gave the file back to her. Genesis nodded and reached out to take the file back but he stopped her. He leaned in until their faces were only inches apart.

"That way the attention will be truly on us." He whispered.

Genesis blushed and took the file from his hands. As she attempted to make her escape he held her waist and pushed her forward. " I like it when you talk to me like this." He told her with a grin. She felt her face getting redder and all she wanted to do was leave in embarrassment and yet she couldn't find the strength nor the will to push him away.

"Like what?" She asked, looking clueless. Aiden smirked. "I'll do as you say. Make the plan and you'll present it tomorrow. Can you do that?" He asked. Genesis nodded and cleared her throat. "One day is enough for me sir." She responded and finally got to her senses. She pushed him away and walked back to her desk.

Aiden watched her until she took her seat. Genesis looked up at him and their eyes met. She stared at him for a few seconds and bit her lip. She then averted her gaze and buried herself in work.

Aiden chuckled and took his seat. After glancing at her a few times he finally got to work as well.

Genesis glanced at the time. "Sir you have a meeting with Mr. Jackson tomorrow. You have been postponing it for a week now. Should I print out the new copy of the contract?" She asked him. Aiden looked up at her and sighed. "No, not yet I want to review it again first and edit it. That man is a vicious sly fox." He told her.

Genesis nodded. She went towards her planner and crossed out 'Remind the devil that he has a meeting with Mr.Jackson' off the list. She then placed it back inside her drawer and continued her work. Aiden who had very sharp eyes caught a glimpse of her planner but was not able to read the words.

He narrowed his eyes but went back to work. Just at this moment, he was thinking of postponing the meeting again. He furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. 'How come she always has the perfect timing?' He wondered. "Huh…." He mused and glanced at her.

At that moment Genesis' phone started ringing. She glanced at the number and lifted it up for Aiden to see. 'Mr. Jackson's assistant' was displayed on the ID number. Aiden shook his head and Genesis sighed.

She put the volume of her phone down and got back to work. Once she was done catching up with this morning's paperwork she exited the office to get the rest of the day's tasks. The first thing she did was get some coffee for Aiden who was working very seriously on his computer. He had been signing documents for the past hour and now he had to take care of creating new documents, plans, and designs.

Genesis placed a sketchpad on his desk which caught his attention. "Sir you should take a few minutes off from brainstorming and let your imagination flow into this simple piece of paper." She suggested with a calm and professional smile. Aiden arched an eyebrow at her. "Don't misunderstand If you're tired or not is none of my business. I'm just worried about the other 50 documents that need your signature." She pointed at the fresh stack of papers on his desk, that had appeared out of nowhere.

Aiden shook his head and accepted the sketch pad. " Assistant Gen." He called out to her and Genesis turned to face him. "Yes sir?" She asked. " Feel free to get yourself a coffee and relax for a few minutes. Don't misunderstand I'm just worried about the twenty designs that you have to review and submit by this afternoon." He told her.

"Bleeh petty man!" She murmured and took her seat with a sigh. She already felt tired from all the work and it was only half the day. There was more to come. As a former CEO, she is no stranger to the thousands of files that pile up out of nowhere in the beginning and middle of the week. Especially on Mondays.

"Sir! I noticed your schedule will be more about signing documents and accepting projects this week. Did you cancel the meetings you had pending this week?" Genesis asked and her eyes narrowed at the schedule displayed on her iPad.

Aiden coughed. "No." He responded. Genesis suspiciously looked towards him. "Sir. Did they cancel the meeting? How come I wasn't informed?" She asked in confusion. She had a very detailed schedule of her boss for the whole month but suddenly a bunch of meetings disappeared from her schedule. "I update it myself. I gave them a call instead and everything has been settled." He lied shamelessly.

"Ah okay. I'll move some of next month's meetings to this month so that it's all settled faster." She informed him. "No!" Aiden interrupted her. "Huh? Why?" She asked, confused. If it were her she would love to get them over with as soon as possible. "Assistant Gen I have my reason leave the schedule the way it is." He ordered sternly and avoided eye contact.

"But-" Genesis tried to justify her reasons but was denied by him. " Miss Smith just leave it that way I know what I'm doing," He told her once again avoiding her confused stare. If he looked into her eyes he would fail to lie. After all, he's not accustomed to having her attention.

It was until he offered that contract that she paid more attention to him and he is very aware and happy about it. Before she would keep a big distance from him and never question anything even if his actions were suspicious. But now she took more into consideration.

Genesis looked at the schedule and noted down to call the people Aiden was supposed to meet up with. She was worried that something might have gone wrong so as a very responsible assistant she is, she emailed them to ask for the details.

Aiden had no idea that his scheme to spend more time with her in the office would be soon discovered by Genesis.
