In the luxurious room filled with exotic wines, Souji wore a happy expression while Sara was completely incredulous.
"He killed all my brothers..." She murmured in a very sad tone.
Souji was about to tell her something, but he was interrupted by someone else.
"Is there a problem with that? They were of no use to me." Kanaru said in a low voice.
He had appeared behind her.
Sara backed away from Kanaru with a little somersault.
Kanaru's eyes were shaped like stars for a moment, but they quickly returned to normal, apparently, he was just checking something.
'It's Souji, there's no question about it, but who is this woman? I can't access her memories either.'
Kanaru was a bit puzzled, he also felt that mysterious power in her, that power completely blocked his ability, Mental Out.
Sara pulled herself together and then she began to mutter some words incomprehensible to others.
Kanaru just looked at her curiously.
Souji was pouring an exorbitant wine into a couple of glasses.
Suddenly, 10 flying swords of fire surrounded Sara and began to surround her body.
"Aren't you worried about starting a fire with your little show?" Kanaru asked.
Sara's expression darkened.
"I'm not a low-level magician! I'll avenge my brothers! " Sara exclaimed.
Suddenly the 10 fire swords shot out in the direction of Kanaru.
"Magician? Is the source of your power the spiritual power? " Kanaru asked as if he wanted to check something.
*TUMB!*

The fire swords seemed to collide with a strong invisible wall and disappeared like dust.
Sara's expression finally changed to one of fear.
"Impossible! That was intermediate magic! You are not an ordinary esper!" Sara understood that Souji had lied to her about her target's ability.
"Intermediate magic? Um... what you call intermediate magic has the attack power of a level 4 ability and you didn't answer my question." Kanaru said casually.
Sara understood that Kanaru didn't see her as an opponent at all.
She looked for an opportunity to get out of this situation.
"Spiritual power? I think you mean mana, the energy used to perform magic." Sara said as she walked to the window.
At that precise moment Kanaru's understanding of the world changed completely.
'Magic, the mysterious power that killed Amata and those clowns that attacked me before'
'Magician, people who can use magic.'
'Mysterious power = mana'
'Intermediate magic, that means there is a completely new system outside of abilities.'
'…'
Kanaru collected his thoughts for a few seconds before nodding confidently.
He finally was able to understand the essential of that mysterious power that had caused him so much trouble.
Then Souji who was sitting looked at Kanaru with a big smile. He seemed to be proud of him for some reason.
*Bang!*
He pulled out a pistol concealed in his clothing and fired forward.
"Wh-a-t..." Sara who was about to escape through the window could only mutter a few words.
Sara would never think Souji would attack her from behind, after all, they had worked together for years.
A hole appeared in her forehead.
"So many years in this business, but you never bothered to look up your target's abilities by yourself. Hehe, anyway, your main role is over." Souji said with a big smile.
Sara's body fell.
Despite her state, she looked at Kanaru in her last moments as if she expected a miracle from him, but he was looking at Souji.
Sara surrendered to her imminent fate.
"Did you like the gift I gave you?" Souji asked in an amused tone.
