Chapter 1: Prologue

I was running. I was running really fast, panting, sweating. I couldn't afford to look behind me and see if my unknown chasers are still hot on my trails. I couldn't because I was too focused on making it to this circular group of colorful dusts. It seems as if it was closing and I knew then that I needed to go there before I get caught.
But why were they chasing me?
Why was I going for this entity that seemed like a portal?
All I knew was before I went through the circular thing, I heard a shout from my back. It was a girl, with a high-pitched strained voice yelling, "You can never forget us! You will come back, and you will side with us! For we are connected by blood!"
And then my world went spinning. It was like I was being sucked by a black hole, but worse. My stomach turned and my breathing almost hitched. But before I lost my senses, I remembered myself whispering. More like chanting, "ubi tempus erit, omnis regius et veniet euismod."
And then I woke up, with no memory of yesterday.
