Chapter 3: Chapter 3- Dude, You are indeed rude
"I apologize for being rude." this tantalizing man said as he called for service. "What would you like for a drink?" he asked me. The waiter immediately arrived.
"A hot cappuccino please."
"Mine is café latte."
"How about a cake Ma'am, Sir? Would you like to order too?"
"What do you offer?" He asked. He seemed to be taking his time huh. Or maybe just my imagination.
"We offer different kinds of cakes and desserts of your liking. Today's chef's choice is a red velvet cake and gold platted chocolate cake."
"Then serve those two and a bitter tiramisu if you have. How about you Miss Kim?"
"I'm okay with what you ordered." He nodded to my response.
"That's all."
The service guy bowed before leaving.
We stayed silent until the door clicked closed. We are both anticipating who will break this awkward silence. What is this kind of freaking situation? It is not a blind date or something!
"Ehem. My apologies for this unsightly manner of mine. I'm Baek Hyung-woo." his baritone reached my ears. Hmmm... Not bad. "By any case, do you know who I am?"
What the heck with this jerk? My vein is starting to pop.
"I am to reintroduce myself, I am Kim Geu-rim. I believed you were the representative of XX International Trading and Companies yesterday as I presented the project coming from the US branch of XX Company." I answered calmly. This guy irritates me to the bone. Of course, he was the one who made idiotic inquiries yesterday!
"Is that all you know?"
Oops! I almost uncover my twitching face in front of this guy.
"Please make no haste and tell me directly what you want from me Mr. Baek Hyung-woo." I looked at his face seriously. I'm not making games here!
"Very well." He said but stopped as the door opened and the waiter put our orders.
"Please enjoy!" and silently backed away.
"As you can see, I am interested to know you Miss Kim," he told me while looking at confidently.
"W-what?!" I almost spilled the coffee that I was about to drink. I was shocked to hear his words. And I am not sure if it's a word of confession or a prank. I looked at his face, and he seemed not a person to joke around?
"I believed you already meet my younger sister?" Am I just mishearing it but the way he said sister is a bit softer?
"I'm not sure who you mean. And what are you saying right now." This guy is throwing me off-balance. Kim Geu-rim, please hold your reign.
"Baek Sol-a, she is my younger sister. And you are the sister of Kim Norae am I right?" I almost dropped my mouth. Is he some kind of stalker?
"W-what? How do you know Norae? Have you met her?" for the second time, I was shocked. I looked at him as he calmly sipped his coffee and eat the cake. He chewed it as if taking his time savoring the flavor of it. If you looked closely, a smirked was formed on his damned red lips.
"Well no. We have not met yet. But I know about her."
"And can you tell me why are you interested in me?" Though I think I already know the answer.
"Well, let's just say because you are the sister of my sister's special someone." he smiled bashfully. The jerk!
"Ekkk!" again for the third time, I was startled. This guy is almost reaching my quota of surprise for the day! "You knew about the two of them?"
"Yes of course! I know everything related to my cute sister you know!"
What the fu*k! This guy is a freaking' sis con! I could feel my throbbing vein popping. I could see his mask slipping away.
"And you approached me because?"
"I told you, I'm interested in you." God, that blinding smile. I'm blinded!
"How is it related?" I raised my eyebrow. Unable to comprehend this guy's intention.
"I am just interested in everything about my sister. So, I just want to talk to you."
I am giving up! This guy has a hardcore sister complex. I pity Sol-a having a brother like him.
"But I am not interested in you!" You freaking jerk!
"Well, if that's the case, how about we talk about a project proposal." I almost face-palmed. This guy is throwing whatever he wants catching you off-guard. I already felt exhausted. "Will you be interested?"
"That depends on what are you going to propose."
