Chapter 3: A Serious Discussion
I planned to walk towards the woods I found myself in when I woke up. Considering I was knocked out for a while, yet I was still not eaten by a Pokemon, It should be a safe place to sit and talk with Weedle. Now I need to think of how to go about getting Weedle stronger. It evolves into Kakuna. A similar Pokemon it is Caterpie and Metapod. So when they evolve, they basically cover themselves in silk.... Wait they cover themselves. Its not like they start glowing and suddenly change. No they cover themselves in silk. They can't just evolve into a Kakuna out of nowhere. They have to start the process. How does a Weedle know when to cover itself up with silk? Can it choose not to do so if it doesn't want to evolve? I find this out from Weedle. Wait is Weedle a boy or girl? Is it a shiny being so yellow and not orange or are they like people that can have a wide range of colors? Ok here we are.
I sit on the ground and place Weedle in front of me. "Hey Weedle are you a boy? With tears still in its eye it shakes its head. "Ok so you are a girl." Weedle nods her head. "Ok with that out of the way. Let me say I'm sorry for not letting you fight Rhyhorn. I know it hurts when people call you weak." Weedle eyes become more teary. "Wait wait. I'm just saying currently. That doesn't mean in the future. I think you be amazingly strong in the future, but everyone starts out weak. A menacing Dragonite was once a small little Dratini. The same goes for you. You have nothing to be ashamed of". Weedle looks up to me with a hopeful look. "Ok I have some questions for you since I do not know much about Weedle and their evolutionary line. So when Weedle evolve into Kakuna do they cover themselves with silk?" Weedle Nods. "Ok. How do you know you are ready to evolve into a Kakuna? Is there a special feeling that you get, and when you get this feeling you can decide to cover yourself in silk?" Weedle nods. "So like when you get the feeling, do you choose to evolve because, why not you are going to get stronger by evolving and be closer to being a Beedrill?" Weedle nods. "Have you heard of any Weedle getting the feeling, but not immediately covering themselves in silk?" Weedle shakes her head. "Do you get a feeling that something bad will happen if you do not immediately do so? Weedle shakes her head. "....Ok so I was thinking. In order to become stronger why won't you just not choose to evolve immediately?" Weedle looks at me like I'm stupid. "Hear me out. Like You need to evolve fast in the wild so you can better protect yourself from predators. So you just choose to evolve as early as possible. Well since you aren't in the wild, you don't really have to worry about being eaten or atleast not worry as much since you have me and soon other Pokemon friends to keep you protected. So you don't need to evolve as soon as possible. If anything why won't you delay your evolution for a while. I mean you still get stronger as a Weedle right, but just slower than if you were to evolve right?" Weedle nods. "Ok then why not try to slowly become like the strongest Weedle. Like stay as a Weedle and become so strong that you can fight Pokemon you shouldn't be able to fight. Imagine A Weedle taking on a Pidgey or even a Beedrill. If a Weedle is strong enough to fight a Beedrill, imagine how strong it would be once it is a Beedrill. It would be the king, I mean Queen of the Beedrill."
Weedle still looks like she has some doubt in my theory. "I mean what do you have to lose by doing this? If anything you will only come out with nothing extra or gain from it. No loses." Weedle thinks about it for a bit. She then hesitantly nods. I smile ear to ear! "I promise you I will help you become the strongest Weedle in the world! Then the strongest Kakuna, and then finally the strongest Beedrill!!" Weedle jumps into my arms and coos. " Weedle, Wee, Weedle. "I'm glad we can come to an agreement. I'm glad you are mare starter", I said while I hugged Weedle close. "Hey Weedle do you want a nickname? Its something that can identify you as a individual Weedle." Weedle thinks a bit before shaking her head. "How come?" She then turns her front around and uses her mouth to point to her midsection. ".... Is it because of something about your body?" Weedle nods? "Hmmm... Is it your color?", I ask while I remember what a Weedle should look like. Weedle nods. "Are you the only Weedle you have met with your color?" She nods. "OMG!!! I think you might be a shiny!" Weedle tilts her head in confusion. A shiny is a mutated form of a Pokemon that has different color than the norm. If I remember correctly when you evolve into Beedrill, you while have a green color instead of yellow!" Weedle bounces up in down in excitement. "You will look so badass!" Weedle roles her eyes at me. "Ok I mean beautiful!" She nods to show she is pleased with my correction. I mumble to myself," Still badass".
"I wonder other than looking amazing if being a shiny helps in battle in any way. Will you be stronger than a normal Weedle? Can you grow faster or to a higher power than a normal Weedle?" She moves her head and neckish area in only what I can assume was a shrugging motion. "Well we can find out about that later. How bout we see what you can do to get an idea of what we need to do to become stronger?" She nodded with a determined look in her eyes.
