After setting Tola down I head to the door and call over a maid. "Tola and I will be away for some time. If anyone asks for me tell them that I will return in a week." The maid nods in understanding. "It will be done my lord." "Another thing, bring me a set of clothes for Tola."
After waiting some time for the maid I was ready to leave. I levitated Tola's and my doll's body and took to the skies. It would be morning soon so I flew north looking for a good base. Those that proved absolute loyalty and unwavering will would join my coven. As powerful as I am, I am but one man. I can't be everywhere and if a vampire force has the right powers I could be defeated. If somehow someone had the ability to cancel out others powers then I would become an ordinary vampire.
No that's not right. Even without my powers I'm still extremely formidable. From what I recall from the movies, none of the vampires displayed any combat prowess. No technique but simply relying on their supernatural abilities.
It seems to be a common thing, as any and all vampires in movies and TV fight like your average school yard bully. I will not make the same mistake. Nor will I allow my coven to do so as well. As I fly around looking for an ideal location to turn into my home, I look towards Tola flying by my side. She was not the strongest, nor did she display any special characteristics that might hint at a possible power awakening after transformation. But she was loyal, and nice to look at.
I am honestly glad I was born in the twilight universe. Many talk badly about the sparkling vampires, but they are fools. Twilight vampires are some of the most powerful vampires created.
Take Vampire Diaries for example. Even with all their strength, they are still living corpses. When becoming a vampire their body is reverted to the state the body was in for the rest of their undead lives. Twilight vampires, well where do I start. Firstly, becoming a vampire enhances your physical appearance. Those that are ugly will simply become better looking while those that already look good become otherworldly.
Speaking of physical enhancements. Unlike Vampire Diaries vampires, twilight vampires become virtually indestructible. Their body's become akin to the hardest naturally occurring substance on earth. Nothing man made can harm you. Well, unless they designed some high power laser weapon. But it would be difficult to keep you still for that to pose a real threat.
The only thing that poses a threat to twilight vampires are other vampires and fire. Oh yeah, how could I forget about werewolves and shapeshifters. I haven't seen a werewolf in the movies. But I don't understand how a wolf shapeshifter's teeth can pierce through diamond hard material. Makes no sense if you ask me.
Now let's move onto strength. Twilight vampires can lift several hundreds of times their own weight. Just think about that for a moment. And that is just a regular vampire. Newborns are significantly stronger. Fucking Caroline couldn't even move a heavy metal safe on her own. Stephen couldn't break out of a safe that he was locked in causing him to drown over and over again. He should have watched kill bill.
I could go on but it honestly wouldn't even be fair. Point is, twilight vampires are no joke, just ignore the sparkles.
A few more hours of flight and I think I have found a decent place. I just picked the tallest mountain. Landing near the top I shape the earth to make a platform. My ability to shape and mold earth is a bit rough but good enough. After placing the two bodies down I begin my work.
I went for simplicity over anything eye catching. Just a great hall with some rooms off to the side. I can do more detailed work some other time. After a few hours Tola begins to stir. I had already captured a couple of deer for her to feed off of.
I believe it is midday and Tola's body is changing before my eyes. Not at a fast rate or anything but I can see it. Around six pm she opens her eyes but I do not move. I stand absolutely still as to give her time to acclimate to her new body. I scan her mind to make sure her loyalty has not faltered. What I find is exactly as I expected.
Becoming a vampire heightens everything about you. Vampires are also able to form bonds that are unbreakable. I was her most precious thing in her life, becoming a vampire has only made that feeling stronger.
"Rise my Tola." Immediately she rolls over and kneels before me. She looks up at me and I can see her bright red eyes. "I have awakened my lord. And I am ready to serve in any way you deem fit." I reach out to her and she appears shocked before quickly taking my hand.
I pull her to her feet and into my embrace. Her body feels pliable in my grasp. She feels amazing, no hardness but the feel of normal human flesh. But I know it is a lie. I know that my enhanced strength has given the impression of normal flesh. That her body is a walking tank.
I place my hand on her cheek and this time she does not recoil from my touch. She looks stunning. Tola was always good looking but now. I have no words. I trace my finger across her lips as I stare into those eyes. The eyes of an apex predator. And all I can see in those eyes is love.
"Come, let us hunt together." I had brought her food but all ideas of drinking from those carcasses quickly left my mind. I released her and ran out the cave and leaped from the platform. Tola did not hesitate in following me over the edge. "Hahahahaha." I laughed with pure joy as we fell. I never took the time to truly enjoy my new heightened reality.
"This is amazing!" Tola yelled and as we landed some ways down we simply jumped down again. We began a little race. To my surprise Tola was actually faster than me. Well I wasn't augmenting myself with my powers, but this is just a game.
Far too quickly we reached the bottom and we crashed with tremendous force. Destroying the ground beneath our feet. Walking out of the small craters we made Tola walks over to me with a bright smile on her face. "That was fantastic my lord." "Indeed it was, now let's hunt."
We took off at incredible speed running across the land in no particular direction. Eventually we came across some reindeer and Tola crashed into their midst. I had already told her of our new diet. She picked the oldest and weakest of the herd and tackled it to the ground. The others were startled by her sudden appearance and collectively they jumped into the air.
I chose my target and tackled it before it's hooves could reunite with the ground. We rolled but I landed on top then bit into its neck. It cried out but I paid it no mind. The blood flowed and I drank and drank until there was nothing left. I looked up to see Tola looking at me.
She had blood on her mouth and trailed down her neck making a mess of her clothes. She looked stunning and before I knew it a new hunger took over me. One that I had ignored for far too long. I ran to her, sweeping her off her feet and into a nearby tree pinning her up against it.
