Mother Song leisurely strolled around the mall with her hand securely hooked around Soo Min's arm. With a proud smile hanging on her lips, she welcomed their curious gazes. That's right, see how beautiful my daughter-in-law is! Mother Song was ecstatic.
Quite a few women were looking at Noah with ogling eyes. He was the dashing tall man, but gave off the aura of beaming sunshine, completely different to the cold and mysterious one of Ryan. He was also such a gentleman, accompanying the two ladies beside him.
As they were walking, Mother Song abruptly stopped looking in a particular direction.
"What is it, mom?" Soo Min asked as she curiously followed her gaze, only to land on a store's window displaying a large family portrait.
"Ah. It's nothing I thought I saw someone, I know." Mother Song lied with a flustered look in her eyes, that didn't go unnoticed by Soo Min. "Forget that. You still haven't bought any dresses for yourself! Come on, now. There's no way we're leaving without—Ah!"
"Mother!" Soo Min panicked and immediately gripped Mother Song's hand tightly when she misplaced her foot on the ground and slipped.

At a nearby bench.
"You should really stop wearing heels so often, Mother." Soo Min said with great concern in her eyes as she helped remove the stilettos off her right foot, before massaging it a little. "See. It's sprained now, isn't it?"
Mother Song pouted but seeing the serious look on her daughter-in-law's face, she knew that she already had made up her mind and there was no
longer any room for changing it.
"Alright. I'll listen to you and wear some flats instead." She said in a tone full of helplessness.
Amidst all this, a steady yet distinctive sound of footsteps were heard in the bustling mall. At the same time that the footsteps were heard was the coldness that filled every inch of the mall.
He gave off a dangerous vibe and was giving them chills out of fear; however, despite with him having such a devilish aura, people still couldn't help but to stop and stare at this sinful man.
How can one be this handsome yet so unapproachable? Especially his dark blue eyes that were so piercing as if it can cut their flesh if his gaze landed on them. However, his indifference didn't affect the ladies who wouldn't stop ogling at him in hopes that he would notice them.
Soon, the footsteps were already closer and the people automatically parted to make way for this monarch to pass.
"What are you doing here?" Ryan nonchalantly asked with a deep scowl evident on his face. When his mother sent him the text, he just couldn't believe it. Not only did his fiancé run away from him, but out of everyone she chose to spend the day with Noah?!
It was not that he didn't trust her, rather he didn't trust this man. Unable to sit still anymore, he decided to leave all his work to his assistant and rushed out.
"What do you think one does at a mall? To shop, of course." Noah said with a lopsided grin. His perfectly good day was ruined now that his nemesis was here.
Hearing his response, Ryan scoffed. This man never failed to get on his nerves. If it wasn't for him being Soo Min's best friend and part of his maternal family, he would've erased his existence from earth a long time ago.
Ryan's face was dark as his eyes glinted a dangerous and eerie glimmer, before making his way over to where Soo Min and Mother Song were seated at.
"This won't do. I'll go and buy you something comfortable to wear right now." Soo Min firmly said despite Mother Song's countless protests, before gently placing her foot down.
As soon as she turned around, her eyes collided with a pair of dark ink blue-like eyes of the man crouched down in front of her. His pupils glimmered like a diamond.
Soo Min's eyes widened for a moment, as she was surprised to see Ryan. Not to mention, his face being merely a few inches away from her own. Soo Min caught her breath and her heart started to beat erratically.
Startled by their closeness, Soo Min stumbled back a bit on her failed attempt to get up. As if that wasn't already embarrassing enough, Ryan had gently wrapped his hand around her and pulled her up so swiftly that she ended up colliding into his firm chest.
'Ha! This man. He's just doing this on purpose at this point. Why don't you just take my heart and tear it into shreds at this point. I'm going to die of embarrassment.' Soo Min inwardly cried.
Despite her constant attempt to avoid him all day, she ended up going right back to him. Just what was life doing, messing with her like this?
Mother Song was so surprised that she had to blink her eyes a couple of times. She thought that she was just hallucinating. Was this the same son
she had seen grow up to be cold and indifferent? The same one to have strongly opposed this marriage? The more and more she thought about it, the more she couldn't believe it.
It was a gradual change but she could clearly tell that her son was returning to his old self prior to the death of his father and brother.
