Chapter 514: LOG 73: Power from the West

Professor Juniper flipped to the second tablet. The two texts were different when compared. They had signatures of ancient Unovan style of writings but the language in which it was written was not alike.

"Two different places?" she questioned herself. "The Desert Resort? This must explain what the Relic Castle once was. - A community larger than what is buried."

Intrigued, she couldn't help but satisfy her curiosity.

From the Western deserts, was a town filled to the brim with pools of gold and wealth. Palaces they had, walls grew strong, and peace was fortified among them all. The town was famous for its never-ending selflessness, where every traveler was a value to them. They had great integrity and were known to host one of the most powerful horse riders in the kingdom.

They had everything they need, except for one. The town had happiness but no joy, thus, the skies granted them with a gift. Descendant of the pendant's wielder, an egg was gifted to their king. The people rejoiced and waited for the passing of time to see what He had bestowed upon them.

Day by day, the king watched. The egg, not once, in his ruling, glowed, rather, it showed its stiffness as though it longed to be left alone inside its shell. It never flourished despite the efforts of his nor his nobles. He began to loose hope, until he fell under terrible illness.

The son soon inherited the egg, and upon his sitting on the throne, a tiny crackle resonated. Bit by bit, the hard shell cracked until what burst from within was something extraordinary. Truly, different, the creature was from the rest who roamed the desert.

"Is thou creature son of a God?" wondered the people in amazement.

Rings, he bore, as he gave a smug, twirling around the palace with ecstasy. He then stopped after seeing the son and everyone who looked to him. His smirked once more as seven of his abundant rings rose and encompassed him.

The Pokemon entertained him, brought eternal joy to his family, his children, and his children's children. However, on a day one would call usual, The ring bearer became a monster. He became eight times taller, and gave the town a ferocious gaze. Curses went out of his rings and the people were in panic.

The nobles and the royals had to rush. From the fires shackled on the bowels of Earth, a lamp was forged. The king rose the lamp and opened it, bringing the spirit and entirety of the creature with it until it was trapped inside it. Worried it might bring havoc once more, the King made an order, Order of the Pendant, where they would be responsible to watch out for the lamp.

Passed down from generation to generation, feared to be opened, and the Order dwelled within empires until empires became cities. One thing was uncertain to the people. Why would the bearer attack out of nowhere? What brought about his monstrous form? No one knew why was history became legend.
