Chapter 1: Siren's Song

The waves lapped calmly, quietly, at the dark stone. The only noises echoing through the cove were the soft sounds of the ocean, and a girl's voice, high and clear and pure.

You were fool's gold...*
The stars winked brightly in the pitch dark sky, the moon full and bright. The girl's face caught the moonlight, her smooth skin and night dark hair seeming to almost glow with a soft radiance. Her eyelashes laid against her cheekbones, black as raven feathers, fluttering open to reveal brown eyes, rich as the earth. The last notes fell from her lips, echoing around the cavern and escaping to filter into the peaceful night, her high, clear voice fading away under the stars.
