Chapter 3: Chapter Three
The next day when Lex woke up, he saw Nikoli sleeping soundly on the bed next to him, and remembered that he was in the army now.
He had dreamt about sleeping at home, under the comfort of his soft blanket, chilling. Lex wanted to be lazy, but he can't.
Half conscious, he trudge to the bathroom to wash up.
Nikoli woke up to the sound of water running in the shower. He sleepily sat up, running his eyes. This scene was very different from the usual stoic Nikoli, even he himself was shocked. He had never slept so comfortably before! He had never let down his guard, even in the bedroom.
When Nikoli was still lost in thought, Lex came out, wearing only a small towel to cover his lower body.
Nikoli was breathless. He didn't know his roommate was such a cute thing.
Lex's caramel hair was wet but a bit tangled from drying, his body was well toned and slightly tan, Nikoli could see the droplets sliding down his rosy cheeks to his chin and tracing his slender neck.
Nikoli looked away, flustered by the scene.
The alpha in front of him had an arrogant but delicate profile, like a cat. Or tiger.
Lex glance at the commander and was surprised to see a young man in his early thirties. He though it was going to be a strict old man with a scar on his left eye.
But Lex was arrogant, and he didn't want to admit that the man was incredibly gorgeous. Like those godfather style but in a younger way. Even though he was tempted to look again, his pride won't allow him. So he just politely bows and greet the commander, took his clothes and went to change (in a random corner that nobody can see because author didn't know Lex would have to change outside and Nikoli needs to use the bathroom.)
At exactly six in the morning, all the soldiers were standing at the training grounds, lined up perfectly.
Lex was very impressed by the discipline, but as his gaze search for a certain omega, he realised he wasn't here.
Just when he wanted to ask the person standing beside him, he saw Mars running towards them, looking somehow breathless from such a short walk, even his cheeks were flushed.
Nikoli, at first wanted to scold him, but his eyes twitches as he saw Lex staring at Mars like he was the last copy of 'Alpha ga Alpha wo daku' (Check it out its really good, but there's sex scenes so just warning yall.)
He immediately felt annoyed, and blocked Mars with his body.
"Mars, why are you late?" Nikoli's voice turned soft, as he looked at Mars.
"Sorry, I was really tired yesterday because of the tour to I overslept." Mars lowers his head, looking like a puppy being scolded.
Nikoli's eyes immediately soften, as he gently pats Mars's head, and told him not to push himself.
Lex saw the whole thing, and was surprised and jealous of the affection he was giving Mars. He asked the man beside him, "Why his Mars so close with the commander?"
The man turned his head and saw the newbie, so he quickly explains. "You're new here so you probably don't know but Mars is being courted by the commander so us soldiers don't stand a chance. If you're thinking about mating with Mars you better forget it."
Lex nods, but inside, he completely discarded the warning.
'He thinks a commander means he can make me bow down. No way in hell. ಠ益ಠ I'll let him see that an alpha's power is not to be truffles with.
So at that moment, when Nikoli turned around and locked eyes with Lex, you could immediately feel the tension in the air. (imagine them shooting lasers at each other and lightning and thunder in the background.)
The rivalry(?) between the two alphas has begun.
