Chapter 2: Working Hard

Victoria had worked extremely hard over the years. Ever since that fateful moment of her childhood, she had strived to be the best she could in the world ruled by Alphas. Of course, it was hard. But it was no issue for her, the one Omega who sought to bring down the social hierarchy of her world.

Through these desires, Victoria had risen to the top. She founded her own company, step one of her plan. She earned enough money, bought herself some stocks, and went off to work. Now, she's in charge of one of the biggest social justice groups in the world, one filled full of Omegas. It didn't stop at her city; the members that joined the group spanned miles, from North America to Africa, Asia to Australia. This was, by far, the best thing that had happened in her life. Finally, after years and years, she had gotten to where she wanted to be.

"Ms. Grey?" Victoria's assistant knocked on her office door, calling her name. She beckoned to him, accepting the package of paperworked he held in his hands. The day's work, ready for her nice and early.

"Thank you, Ethan." Ethan was yet another Omega, one born of a clan close to hers. Victoria never treated him any differently, yet Ethan had been priviledged, one of the only Omegas treated like a king. How lucky he must have been, to be treated like that. He never had to participate in ruthless fights, shows of strength to degrade him, and all that he stood for. He never had a reason to truly believe in the cause Victoria advocated until he entered the world outside of his pack, the world in which he was discriminated against constantly.

Even in her Omega Rights Foundation, Victoria allowed Alphas and Betas. She had never wanted anyone else to feel the way they had, like they couldn't do something because of how they were born. This had worked out very well for her, in fact, better than it usually would. An outstanding amount of Alphas had joined her groups, attending her events and supporting Omegas. No longer would there be a social pyramid when she was done, with the help of everyone involved.

If only...

Victoria opened the bundle of paper, a scowl forming on her face as she did.

Damn him!

She thought as she glanced at the cursed name. Liam Gale, the boy- no, the man who had always worked against her. The one at the field that day, the one with the split open eyebrow and scowl as he looked at her and shouted, "Weak!"

And he continued to do that, he continued to undermine her even though they had grown. As expected of an Alpha, he was a successful businessman, and had even founded his own company, just like her. Of course, whilst his did not contain a social justice foundation, he slandered her in the news, creating false accusations against her business, even the way she gained her money.

"How dare he." Victoria said aloud as she read the newspaper on top of the stack. It featured his agressive, scarred face, mouth open as he spoke into a microphone.

CHILDHOOD TROUBLES!

The headline read.

IS THIS THE END FOR THE OMEGAS?

Stupid Alpha newspapers.
