Chapter 3: Dividing
The young Princess tugged on the king's hand.
"Papa!" the young Princess pleaded
The king looking down at his child.
"shhh"
"PAPA!" again the young Princess cried
Seeing the Princess pointing back towards where they just were. Turning around the King and guards saw light coming from around the bend. They had just passed where they had to remove rocks to fit through.
"They went this way!" yelled a man's voice
"RUN!" the guard said anxiously
Taking off as fast as we possibly could. Their steps hitting the mud and puddles on the floor of the shaft, but Their hearts were beating even faster. For the first time in their lives the King and Princess ran with their lives on the line. The servant and guards followed immediately behind.
After running about 1/8 of a mile down the narrow passageway. rout met a fork in the path.
"We may have a better chance of escaping if we split up!" said Jason
Moving over to stand near Jason.
"Guards protect my daughter at all cost even with your lives!"
"Yes, your Majesty" replied the two guards
"No, I don't want to leave you!" longed the Princess
"Darling it will be ok we will meet up out side of the capital." said the King trying to comfort the young Princess
Splitting up into two groups the King and Jason, and The Princess with two guards. Watching the King run down the right path. Hols lets out his hand for the Princess, after taking hold of Hols's hand. The three of them run down the left path in only the light of one single torch.
